Gmail Launches Group Chat

This morning, I noticed that Gmail’s chat system has group chat feature now. Some people would call that “Conversation”. Unfortunately, I have set my chats to not sign in automatically because I am always too busy to chat. Another new feature they added is the rich smiley – with faces and everything.

Well, like I said, I no longer use chat anywhere so I can test this out. Even when I was using Gmail’s chat in my inbox, I was finding it distracting until I ended up taking way too much time just to reply a couple of emails.

It’s not only about Gmail chat, though. I have retired from chatting online for a couple of years now and some people even thought something has happened to me and they wanted to report to the police. Haha!

They could always reach me by phone. If you are so inclined, try out Gmail’s group chat and see if it’s comparable to other instant messaging systems.

Neuropathy Solutions

I believe that as we grow older, we are more aware of our health. Although medicine is so advanced now that people are living longer, it does not mean that they are living healthily. I used to live with my grandparents and I have seen how they had to put up with small health concerns even though they were generally healthy.

My grandparents from both sides of the family suffered from diabetes and I know how they suffered silently from peripheral neuropathy. It’s a sort of numbness in their hands and feet. Sometimes it’s way more painful than that!

About a month ago, I read about Neuropathy Solutions and how people who went on this shown marked improvement the longer they included this in their diet. Neuropathy Solutions was formulated after an extensive research on all the studies that was done on relieving neuropathy, and picking the five best nutrients to combine into one solution.

If my grandparents were still alive, I would have recommended this to them.

I’m Not A Food Blogger

It’s kinda weird that unlike other bloggers who would capture photos of whatever “good food” they ordered, I always forget despite carrying a camera and a camera phone with me. I know that if food bloggers missed the chance of taking shots of their dishes, that would be like they have committed a sin or something 😀

Although I do would like to take photos of my dishes as well, like yesterday’s curry laksa and fried rice, both signature dishes, I only remembered after digging in and by then it’s too late because the food arrangement has been spoilt. Bah!

Then there are times that I am with non-bloggers and they would certainly never understand the “need” to shoot those food pix before they are allowed to dig in. Haha!

Talking about food, I need to go on diet now! I’ve heard one too many times people commenting, “Yerrrr, so fat already!” Hahaha!

Exhibition: First Emperor: China’s Terracotta Army

If you are visiting London anytime from now until April, 2008, then you must check out the interesting exhibition that is being held at the British Museum of China’s first emperor and the terracotta army titled The First Emperor Exhibition: China’s Terracotta Warriors

London, as always, is jam-packed with tourists and locals and with a raving exhibition going on like this, if you are heading that way and would like to attend this exhibition of China’s first emperor, you will have to plan ahead and make accommodation and ticket reservations.

Superbreak is a company that specializes in short breaks whether it’s for a cultural show, concert, exhibition, theater or even shopping.

For this exhibition of China’s first emperor, they are offering a very attractive hotel and ticket package that includes hotel accommodation in London and an entrance ticket to the exhibition. I think that Superbreak is best for people who are running on a tight schedule and yet would like to pack in as many activities into their lives as possible.

Building Customer Loyalty

A friend used to tell me that being a retailer is very tough, especially when some essential items are under the price control act. They practically cannot get a profit when their customers ask for a discount. However, business is very competitive and what my friend did was create a loyalty bonus where customers are awarded with points for every $10 spent. According to my friend, this is a losing concern in the short term but it has long term potential. His customers, though, were very happy because they are rewarded and with the points they have collected, they get to exchange for other items which means that they are getting these items for free and we know that everyone loves free!

Now that online shopping has been adopted by many web savvy people, online retailers also have their own webloyalty programs to keep the loyalty of their customers.

I understand through experience that it is tough to keep a customer because they have the right to shop wherever they want. With benefits and reward programs, these customers are likely to be returning customers.

Why You Don’t See Your Comments (sometimes)

If you are wondering why your comments are not approved and published then please let me clarify that I will not approve comments made by “Teeth Whitener” or “Faux Wood Blinds” or “Wooden Garage Door” even if your comment is totally relevant to my post and does not contain any link.

If you are a legitimate commenter with a proper name and linking to your blog and yet do not see it published, then I am sorry. It must have been filtered to my Spam folder and deleted.

I’d just like to mention that unlike previously, I no longer have the time to go through my Spam folder and de-spam legitimate comments like I used to. It isn’t 100% fool proof anyway. Sad to say, I can no longer spare the time and the slew of spam comments keep growing and growing.

So, if you would like to reach out to me, just drop me a line through my Contact Form.

Cheap Versatile Fashionable Blinds

I used to think fabric curtains are better until I seen faux wood blinds in a friend’s house. Now, I am thinking that I should get faux wood blinds for my home as well because fabric curtains are just too much work.

I went to a website to check out the selection of cheap blinds that are available and I am impressed with the different designs that are available. Faux wood blinds are of such quality that they look like real wood blinds from afar. The price may be cheap but the quality certainly does not.

I am happy to note that unlike wood blinds from years ago, they are now very versatile and fashionable. They also come in different colors and sizes to suit our rooms and budget.
