Top Class Aural Entertainment in The Leviathan Chronicles

I was complaining to a friend that this Summer, we have had more than our share of sci-fi movies but if sci-fi were forced upon me, I would rather watch it than read it. The Leviathan Chronicles is even better I could just LISTEN to it!

I wouldn’t have thought I would say this, being impartial to all things sci-fi but The Laviathan Chronicles has brought podcasting to a new level.

Leviathan2

The Laviathan Chronicles sees MacallanOrsel, a female genetic scientist in New York City caught between a secret war and being told that she is a Messiah to a group of people, people whom she does not know about.

Each new podcast episode, which you could easily stream from your computer or download and sync to your iPod or iPhone, sees her discover why her race is suddenly dying off. The question posed by The Laviathan Chronicles is, would you choose freedom or immortality?

If sci-fi rocks your boat, I encourage you to check out The Laviathan Chronicles at LeviathanChronicles.com, a top class adventure/sci-fi series in podcast created by Christof Laputka. The Laviathan Chronicles will invoke your imagination no end and keep you at the edge of your seat.

I have to say that even though I am not a sci-fi fan, after just listening to the trailer of The Leviathan Chronicles, I am hooked already.

Gmail’s Global Log Out

The other day, my desktop computer crashed and after failing to fix it myself, I decided to send it to the repair shop. I didn’t have the time to meddle with it and I hate troubleshooting computers. I think that it’s absolutely tedious to shut the computer and put it back on after every slight change in hardware.

I sent a text message to my friend and told him that my computer has been hospitalized. He reminded me that I could use my notebook to log in to my Gmail account and look for the Global log off feature at the bottom of the Gmail page.

HHmm that’s new to me but what a nifty feature. I normally don’t log out of my Gmail account so since it crashed, I did not have the chance to get online and log out properly.

Gmail also reminds us that if we are afraid that our account has been compromised, maybe we did not get online quick enough to log out of our Gmail globally, we could change our password too. This is great for people who use auto-fill. LOL I am guilty of that!

Easy Navigation For User-friendliness

When I saw this website of Recruitment Juice I think that it would be most helpful to my cousin who works as an executive in a recruitment agency. Browsing through the website, I have the impression that Recruitment Juice is something innovative, fun and best of all, fresh. I guess the developers of Recruitment Juice recruitment training courses wanted their training module to be easily remembered and digested hence they play on the word “juice” and relate it to fruits every chance they get.

Also, looking at the packaging of their six training modules on DVD, I have the impression that they look like vitamins. I think it must be the young and refreshing colours!

Frankly speaking, this website is so easy to navigate that even someone who is not as web savvy would find it user-friendly. Ease of navigation is the most important aspect of a website and I am glad to say that Recruitment Juice passed with flying colours!

I don’t see the point of having a flashy website which is not able to convey what it is all about or what service it is offering. Recruitment Juice has stayed away from that kind of web designing that is every casual web browser’s nightmare.

Just like how they describe their training modules, the website of Recruitment Juice is certainly engaging.

Upgraded To FireFox 3 At Last

I finally upgraded my FireFox browser to FireFox 3. I had to wait till the add-ons that I MUST use have been upgraded as well before switching. Still, I only just upgraded it on my desktop computer and not yet change the one in my laptop. I will wait and see if there’s any issue. There are times where I will be an early adopted and there are times where I prefer to wait.

Before making the switch though, I felt as if my FireFox browser experienced such lag it was as if Mozilla had planted a bug on it to force all of us FireFox 2 users to upgrade. Well, I am not sure if that really was the case but if you think about it, companies could force our program to act in a weird way since it is always connected to the internet.

Having said this, FireFox is still not my primary browser. I use Opera, FireFox and IE at the same time, opening different websites with different browser. No matter what Mozilla says about FireFox being the fastest web browser around, Safari claims this as well, there are times where it takes ages to load a page and when I use IE to access the same site at the same time, I did not have an issue at all.

Planning An Exciting Holiday!

My sister has been telling me to get a holiday; I deserve it, she says. And she said that this time, I must coincide my trip with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. That’s because her company is planning a trip for the staff to the 2009 show. My sister lives in Tennessee so Houston is just a few hours’ drive away.

The last time I was in the United States, I missed the show because we did not plan well and did not thought of buying our RodeoHouston tickets in advance. I was told that Rodeo Houston tickets sell like hot cakes and there are people who buy them as soon as they are open for sale so that they could get the best seats. No wonder!

Although the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is still more than 200 days away, those who are going would have bought their tickets already. Yes, it’s an absolutely crazy event where more than a million people would attend. The highlights would be the rodeo shows and concerts. I hope that I manage to make my way there with my sister and her colleagues. That would be awesome!

The line up for Houston Rodeo 2009 concerts is not yet announced but I don’t care, I will attend no matter who will be playing, just for the experience.

How Blogs Have Evolved

Blogs used to be a platform for people to share their daily life with friends and family or a platform for people to share information on a particular subject. Now, there are people who set up blogs, they are so easy to set up and free, particularly to market a single affiliate program.

Well, obviously, these are NOT blogs, yet there are people using the free blog platforms to do so. Like I said, they are free and could be launched in a minute.

I think that if people have the sole intention of promoting an affiliate programme exclusively they should just set up a real one page website instead of using and abusing free blog networks. What do you think?

Spreading The Word On Innovative Stem Cell Research & Therapies

A friend asked me why I wrote about menstrual fluid on my blog. I believe that knowledge must be shared, especially knowledge pertaining to health issues. The innovation of harvesting, processing and storing of stem cells from menstrual fluid is not a woman’s issue but a family issue.

After reading an article on CNNmoney.com on possible cures to serious diseases from stem cells from menstrual fluid, I realize that while the woman herself has her health secured and her stem cells have a high level of matching those of her parents, siblings and children, the husband would need to depend on stem cells from his sister. Therefore, it is also the men’s responsibility to educate his female relatives on the innovation of safe and non-invasive way of collecting menstrual blood and harvesting stem cells from there.

While there are many times that we wish we could do more for the people we love, I think that a gift of a second shot at life from stem cell therapies is the most precious gift that a woman could give. Read C’elle Client Testimonial for more information on C’elle’s stem cell technologies.
