If you have been reading my blog regularly, you would know that my cousin, Jasmine, lives and works in London. Has been for the past ten years and I have not even seen her for this long too.

Since this past Summer, she has been urging me to visit her in London. To be frank, I am not that keen. I love London as a city but it is very costly! A friend of mine is there too and he told me even a haircut would cost MYR60. I don’t need that kind of expenses!

However, Jasmine said that there are also cheap hotels in London, cheap but decent and clean too! It is not necessary to stay at posh London hotels, right? Cheap is what I am looking for because I am not prepared to pay a chunk out of my travel budget on London accommodation alone. I prefer to use the money on sight-seeing and shopping!

Let’s see how cheap a hotel room I can find. My London holiday would very much depend on that, and whatever cheap flights I can find!

I wrote a few posts on Hawaii vacation and a friend told me that nowadays, people are opting for vacation rentals instead of conventional hotels for their accommodation. Yes, I know of that but I wonder where people go to book these because I only know of one company that comes highly recommended from a friend who had a hassle-free Hawaiian vacation thanks to this company.

My friend, Alex, recently moved to Adelaide after finishing university in Sydney. He said he would like to start a new life in a new city as he relishes the new challenges that lie ahead.

I really salute him that he is able to uproot himself from a comfortable life like that without any definite plans in Adelaide. Alex only started looking for jobs in Adelaide after he had toured the city for a month and enjoyed himself as if he were a tourist! He did not even bother to browse through Adelaide classifieds every day! Ahhh what a carefree life he leads!

Alex also told me that he expects dating in Adelaide to be interesting and exciting with all the hot babes in the city! How hot, I guess I will have to wait for PHOTOS!!! Or wait for him to come home with a beautiful girl on his arm! That is possible, you know!

Last week, I wrote that my friend and her family have decided to spend their annual year end holiday in Maui, Hawaii. It is not a surprise that they decided on Maui. Although they come from a tropical country, Hawaii and particularly Maui, offers so much more that we are not able to find here, namely the culture, friendly people and the hospitality. It may be a first trip for them but they have heard so much about Maui that they decided to experience the island first hand.

If I were to go to Maui, I would love to rent the Executive Lower Ohana. This looks like the perfect Maui vacation rental for my small family. It’s cosy, offers a great ocean view and comes with a picturesque garden. Some people may prefer Maui condo rental instead but I prefer a cottage. I’m not saying accommodation at a Maui condo or hotel is not ideal but I would rather have the privacy that a cottage offers than put up with nosy tourists!

Going to Hawaii for a vacation which is so far away and without direct flight, the wise thing to do is to cut down on the hassle of arranging for the whole trip. Can you imagine the convenience? Marc said that this is what every London visitor has to buy!

After writing numerous posts about Hawaii, a friend asked me, if I have heard of other more popular destination weddings and resorts. He showed me the website to a resort site where they organize and hold weddings and honeymoons for bridal couples.

I have heard of people going away for their wedding, not only honeymoon, mind you, and I always thought that these must be expensive affairs but i think that since a wedding is a once in a lifetime occasion (well, it SHOULD be!), then why not spend a little money on it to make it all the more unique and memorable?

I was told that Mexican weddings are very popular because of the romantic setting and there are no legal issues about getting married in Mexico. I thought that people would prefer to go to Hawaii or one of the more common islands but I guess I am behind time!

Some of you may know that I am planning a vacation but I really have no idea where I should go. I do have ideas, of course but nothing is tentative.
