The Freebie Source To Free Baby Stuff

I spend so much time on the internet that many of my friends ask me if I have found something good all the time. By good, they mean free stuff! I am a freebie hunter myself but there are things that I may have found but are of no use to me, like free baby stuff because I am not even married.

However, I know that these free baby stuffs or even free samples for their babies would be most welcomed by friends. They are all around my age and have babies and toddlers so these freebies are very useful to them.

They are very happy when I inform them of the freebie source on where to get their hands on these baby freebies and when they are happy, it makes me happy as well. I may not be able to use these freebies but my discovery is not wasted.

Show Me Some Love!

You know, as a blogger with so many blogs to fill, I have written on many things, companies, websites, services, et cetera. I love sharing my discoveries of these new and not so new things on the internet even if I was not paid to do so or my blog is not as widely read as I hoped.

Anyway, if I have written on YOUR company, website or service and if you came to my blog from searching for your keywords through Technorati or Google Blog search, Bloglines or whatever, I hope you will drop me a comment. It would definitely cheer me up. David Sifry of Technorati did, Rick Calvert of BlogWorld did. I hope I hear from YOU too!

I do reply to my comments but I am currently behind as I have more posts to write, so if you have left me a comment, sit tight and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Rediscovering The Convenience of Slow Cooking

We have a crock pot in our house that is hardly used. In fact, it is still kept in its original box and is mostly kept in the cupboard. I remember that my mother used to put stuff into the pot, turn the power on from night time until morning and the dish would be ready. That took long hours to cook but then we did not even have check the pot at all. So my only impression of the crock pot is not how delicious the food was but the convenience!

This morning, by chance, I came upon a website that is full of home cooked crock pot recipes and it reminds me of my mother’s crock pot. I personally like to cook but can never find the time to indulge in my hobby. Now that I am reintroduced to the crock pot, I am going to bring out the crock pot and start using it fully. Come to think of it, why haven’t I taken it out all these years? It was not cheap when my mom bought it and storing it away like this is a waste.

I am sure that I would be able to whip something up from the wide variety of recipes here and surprise my mom!

Sketch Cast

As if I am not busy enough, I JUST had to discover Blogger Play and Sketch Cast. If I thought that Blogger Play is mesmerising making me keep watching and watching and losing time, Sketch Cast is way worse than that! You know, I can’t draw anything to save my life, not even stick people and have always been ashamed of my art work so I have a deep respect for people who CAN draw, and people who think they can and gutsy enough to share their sketches on Sketch Cast.

By the way, I read about Sketch Cast while blog hopping a week ago and did not have the chance to check it out until today. HHmmm I don’t think I want to visit that site again because I simply can’t spare the time to get my attention “caught” by those video casts at all. *sigh*

However, I do know of a couple of people who would love to know about Sketch Cast. They are great doodlers and artists. Hopefully they can share their live drawings with other members and visitors.

Guide To Gold Investment

I was surfing around when I chanced upon a website that guides us on gold investment. Coincidentally, my friend and I were just discussing the few options that we have in investment. Both of us are of the mindset that we would rather have a portfolio of low risk, low yield investments, rather than one that comes with high risk although the returns may be good, sometimes too good to be true.

My friend said that gold is always a safe bet and yet it gives a better return than Fixed Deposits in the long run. The other day, I did a comparison chart for Fixed Deposits from a few leading local banks and the rate was not very favorable. I do think that investing into gold would be a better option considering that we could start with a low capital.

Where’s My Digital Camera?

I know I risk sounding like a broken record whining for my digital camera. It’s not THAT expensive that I am unable to afford it and yet I myself don’t know why I don’t go and get one for myself.

The thing is, I am afraid that I would buy one that I do not like or am not able to meet my demands. I am afraid that I’ll end up with a lousy model or bad batch that I would then have wasted my hard earned money. My friend told me that I do not NEED a digital camera and I would only be wasting money. In truth, I think I only wanted one because all my friends have it! *sigh*

But all this did not stop me from checking out digital cameras online. In fact, this is my favorite hobby! I went to Shopping.com to admire the Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-T100 digital camera. I love ultra-slim cameras because I could slip into my pocket easily. I never carry a bag so this would be very handy.

Frankly, I don’t know how advanced the Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-T100 digital camera is but when I buy something, I go for the design and the feel of it in my palm. Am I comfortable holding it for long periods of time? I tried this camera out at a local camera store and this one fits perfectly in my palm.

Besides the fact that “It’s a Sony”, I like its large 3.0 inch LCD display screen. I think after using my mobile device which also has a large screen for three months, my eyes are too pampered to adjust to smaller screens. Some people say that large screens drain batteries. Well, I don’t know. I am aiming for comfort here!

Oh yea, in case you do not know, Shopping.com is a shopping comparison site. That’s why I love checking out products here as it allows me to research and compare the same item from various online merchants all in one page and finally buy my dream item.

At an average of $400 for the Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-T100 digital camera, I probably need to ask my friends even though I can afford it! It is just my bad habit 😀

Doing It Alone?

Well, I just received word from the Boss regarding my 3-pronged link baiting project. He says that it is a little complicated for the average blogger to understand.

Plus, I do understand his concerns business-wise. Heck, I am in business too but let’s see, if he accepts my proposal, there will be more to come. If not, either I do it alone or take my business else where.

I, of course, hope that we can see through my project together and forge a good working relationship. So I will be waiting for his final answer later in the week. Will keep ya all posted!
