Send Your Blog To Space

Sometime back, I came across this website which enables you to transmit your blog to space. Can you imagine aliens reading your blog? Well, frankly, I can’t!

It seems that we have been transmitting TV signals to space and now, Blog In Space is taking things one step further. Through Blog In Space, it seems anyone can send a one-time message into space.

I’m technically-challenged so I don’t really know how this works, but if you want to transmit your blog to space, you just have to provide your URL and/or feed URL.

I did not transmit my blogs to space, though. Don’t think aliens would be interested in my thoughts. If you know how it is even possible to transmit blogs to space, let me know!

Internet Software Security Comparison Site

After reading my post, Hanging Computer, my friend was concerned that my internet security may have been breached. I told him that I do have firewall and anti-virus installed, but maybe it is because I am using the free version. How else could I explain the Trojan that was detected on my computer and causing it to freeze after my computer was connected to the internet for twenty four hours?

My friend told me about FilterGuide.com, a comparison website for major internet utilities and programs like anti-virus, firewall, spyware detection, parental control software, anti-spam filters and many more.

I was aghast to note that my free firewall and anti-virus programs were not even listed, let alone rated! I think I better change to one of the top rated programs for better internet security protection!

The Wrong Kinda Comments

I know I haven’t enough comments on my blog, but too bad, I have to delete them all. Most are spam while some are comments left on my sponsored posts with links to other websites or blogs that are offering the same service or product.

If you are one of those people who left me comments like these, I am sorry, I will never approve your comment. So be a good boy and leave me nice comments that are relevant to my posts and not take my readers away to your own blog or website, ok?

If you have been good, then only will I consider giving you some linky Alexa love. Otherwise, please don’t even try. You’ll only be wasting your own time, you know?

Poor Student In California

My cousin is a student in California. He has just bee admitted to his university’s fraternity chapter. While I have not been to university before, I really did not know how tough it is to be admitted but my cousin told me all that he went through just to get accepted into a chapter. I guess that is something to celebrate about!

I soon found out that he told me the good news because he wanted a loan. He said that he has to buy Greek Merchandise in order to be “one of the guys” and they all crave for uniformity.

Ignorant me did not know that they need special Greek gear but thank god they are inexpensive. My cousin said he needs extra money to send flowers to London. She has gone to visit London and since her birthday is coming soon, he needs to get the flowers over. I can sympathize with his situation and so I agreed to loan him some money. I even gave him extra to buy a student health insurance policy.

I told him that he need not repay the loan to me until after graduation. I have now branched off to trading on eBay Motors and business has picked up so I have some cash to spare. Thank god.

Hanging Computer

For the whole of yesterday I had my computer switched on and connected to the internet and I only shut if off at 7.30am in the morning. After an hour and a half, I switched it on again and the stupid PC kept hanging. That was just before 9am. I had to shut it and restart and it refused to shut down. Strangely, I could restart it, just that I could not shut it down.

What the heck could be wrong? I am a non-technical person and I hate to troubleshoot it. I’d rather just chuck it into the big river that’s next to my house.

So this cycle went on until 1pm My AVG Free detected a trojan. Could this be the culprit??? It was healed and I hope it stays healed and not get restored into the system. How the hell my computer could contract a trojan, I do not know. I just formatted my computer a week ago!

Anyway, I really need a back up system. Maybe it’s time to invest in a laptop? How about one of those Sony VAIO C Series notebooks?? As the saying goes, “Every girl needs a pink laptop!”

Helping Parents With A Troubled Teen

It looks like being a parent is not as easy as I thought. My friends who are parents are always complaining about one thing or another of their problematic children. They say I am lucky not to have children because children, especially when they hit teenage years are always suffering from angst, some even as bad as going into manic depression.

I don’t think that my friends are bad parents. Granted, they may not have as much time to be with their children as they want to but at least they do share quality time together. Looks like that isn’t even enough.

I stumbled upon a website that addresses the complex issues of parenting teens and one of the issues brought forward is Treating Biopolar Disorder.

This looks like a very rampant disorder and I believe that if it is not recognized and treated early, it could get worse.

I told my friends about the website of Parenting Teens which has very informative for parents with teens. This website discusses the various problems that are faced by both the parent and child but its primary focus is on helping parents with a troubled teen and how to handle the situation.

Hopefully both parents and children will benefit from the website. The solution is readily available and it is up to us to look for it.

One Blog Too Many

How many blogs can a person manage with regular updates and nurturing each blog to a decent Page Rank and popularity?

I know of people with more than a dozen blogs, myself included. Most people only started blogs to cash in on blog sponsorships. In my case, I started the bulk of my blogs way before I found out about blogging for pay.

I currently actively update six blogs everyday, six blogs that are sponsored and I tell you, I don’t even have time to brush my hair. One thing about me is that I like to blog in advance. This way, I would not be pressured to come up with quality posts when I need them as interim posts. My life is so uncertain, I don’t even know what would happen tomorrow so if I can’t find the time to blog one day, I still have back up posts saved as drafts.

I don’t know how some people can manage to upkeep their slew of blogs. Well, I do not bother to read these blogs to find out if their posts are quality posts or junk just to fill up the space and meet marketplaces requirements. One thing I noticed, though, many people get an escape route from writing more than necessary by just publishing a photo and writing a short paragraph explaining the photo.

As for myself, I am upkeeping my six active blogs at the expense of my passion blogs. Sigh, money is very important at this time of my life. If you do not know why, then you should read ** An Anonymous Journal **
