Taking A Break

What I mean is a break from writing sponsored posts after I am done with the few pending ones sitting in my email. I would still be blogging of course but these are the things that I will be seeing to these couple of days:

1. Change template of some blogs or streamline unnecessary elements
2. Upgrade my WordPress (keeping my fingers and toes crossed that I will not run into problems)
3. Blog more drafts
4. Shop for a laptop
5. Meet up with a friend before he leaves for Melbourne for good
6. Sleep
7. Network & reply to comments!

Let’s see how much I can accomplish from this list.

The Trusted Source

You know, as a consumer, it could be very confusing with all the products in the market that purportedly are better than others. I know *I* get confused. This is especially so when I bother my friends with questions like ‘Which is better?” and they all have their own favorite brands confusing me even more!

I came to know of a website called Trust Source about a month ago. This is the place where people provide feedback and reviews on consumer products. I saw a comparison chart on provillus, a hair loss product, and I think that with consumer feedback and rating like this, we can decide better one which brand is good, which works and which doesn’t. This will of course help us to be better consumers and more discerning shoppers saving us time and money.

One thing I know is that I no longer have to bother my friends with my incessant questioning and get them irritated haahaa! I’m just going to get an impartial opinion from Trust Source.

Bet Online Securely

I just came away from a blog last evening and saw a post that the blogger will never blog about betting and gambling and will not place any gambling links on her blog. I can understand her sentiments because not every one can handle gambling. It takes a lot of discipline. Gambling or betting is not wrong as long as it is not excessive and does not take over our life. And I believe that gambling is a game of skill and a little luck.

If you prefer online betting, and if you do not already know yet, there is this site called Bet365 that is a secure betting portal with a one-wallet system that allows members to bet any and all games from one account only. With its Sportsbook betting facility, you can just about bet on any casino games. From what I see, Bet365 has a full range of casino games, dedicated online poker playing section, and most of all live broadcasts

If you are into football betting or horse racing, no problem either. Bet365 is so much more than casino games. It’s a full-fledged online betting portal that supports casino games AND sports AND card games too.

Leadpile – LeadGen Marketplace

Since I spend virtually the whole day at the computer online and surfing the internet, I do know of many sites that are making waves. One such site that is growing by leaps and bounds is called Leadpile, The Lead Marketplace/Exchange. Yes, for once, I am not going to write about a social network, dating or friendship site. Leadpile is a serious lead generation business marketplace where buyers and sellers of leads meet and transact without the interference of third parties.

As you may know, business nowadays is all about lead generation. However, lead generation is one thing while generation of effective leads that converts is another. At Leadpile, you can be sure to receive multiple verticals lead solutions.

I am very impressed with the fact that Leadpile has managed to grow so fast within a short span of time without any funding from venture capitalists. This is not to say that companies which did receive such funding is not good, but Leadpile is just different.

Check out Leadpile if you have a need for leads!

Second Thoughts

You may know that I have been contemplating a link baiting-cum-competition blitz through a local advertorial network. Well, while I am still waiting for his reply, I am already having second thoughts. It is not that I am stingy and do not want to pay that obscene amount of money for this blitz but last night, I received a very disturbing email from David saying that he (his blog) has been penalised for the sudden surge in back links to his site with a specific keyword after his very successful contest concluded.

See, my Page Ranks are only 3 and 2. I would so love to bring them up but if this is the price I have to pay, I would rather maintain my Ranks, low as they are. I don’t know. Suddenly a blitz does not look so good anymore.

If this is the case, then I would not e running a contest. Why would something fun be turned into a sour episode? I am not going to hand out prizes AND suffer the consequences. That would be so unfair. That would be like a double whammy!

A Post On Structured Settlements

The internet is so vast sometimes you don’t know who will come to read your blog. I know of people who set their Google Alerts to alert them of specific keywords that are published in blogs.

Actually, a few months ago, I didn’t even know of Google Alerts until I wrote a post on Structured Settlements. Whoa, I received so many hits from that through Google Alert because people wanted to see what I wrote about. SO that was how I heard of Google Alert.

It is strange that people wanted to read a post on Structured Settlement, though, because that was just my humble opinion, a sharing of a new knowledge but I guess some people do know not know to differentiate an opinion post from an authoritative post. Anyway, since that day, I am more careful of what I write about even if it is just my opinion.

If you are curious what structured settlement is all about you would have to check out in depth from StoneStreet Capital which runs a website at www.StoneStreet.com. That is what the internet is for. We get to compare opinions easily and not only treat a single voice as gospel. Once you have more information on structured settlements, you would be able to decide if cashing structured settlements is for you.

My “Naked” Device

Some of you may remember that I am using a Nokia E61i mobile device. After three months, it is still “naked” and I am rather desperate to skin it. Well, over the weekend, I went online looking for skins for it because I could not find a store that sells skins here. I chanced upon an online specialist store called Skin It that offers skins for all kinds of devices, laptops and game consoles.

I especially like their range of Laptop skins but unfortunately, I do not own a laptop yet. However, I am keeping a particular design in mind and hope that it will still be available when I finally buy that laptop.

Right now, I only want skins for my E61i but they do not have any for it. So my device will continue to be “naked” for now.
