Ideal Bedding For Teenage Girls

I wrote a post recently about looking for new bedroom furniture for my late cousin’s daughter. Well, she is already 11 years old and it’s time to chuck those hand-me-downs. I thought that it would be a good idea to shop for Teen Girls Bedding at the same time too. It will be only another two years when she turns into a teenager, anyway, so now is a good time to get those.

I surfed the internet looking for ideas but was told to check out Vision Bedding, a company that prints photo images onto bedding sets. The image quality on bedding material is so impressive and it is entirely up to us to customize and personalize our bedding.

If you look at this image that I have included, you will agree with me that this totally looks like a work of art. I think this will make a great gift and teenage girls especially would love them.

Vision Bedding has such a wide range of products waiting to be personalized and at such a competitive price too, I think that my search for teenage bedding has ended here!

iContact Email Marketing Solution

Some of you may know that I manage an online business and I have a database of customers that I have to send occasional email updates to. After two years, my list has gotten longer and harder to manage.

I recently asked a friend of mine how he manages his mailing lists, which has almost ten thousand names on it but he told me that he is not using any software or program except the “Group Contacts” feature that comes with his email client. I was surprised. Surely there has got to be an economical yet professional way to handle that lengthy list?

A search on the internet brought me to iContact Email Newsletter Tool. I find that it is a very cost effective solution for people who have to mange long mailing lists and it starts at only $9.95 per month for the basic package. Of course, right now, I can still manage my list manually and does not yet warrant a web-based solution like this but if my list grows as large as my friend’s, I would surely need help!

One of my concerns about sending bulk email, even though they were opt-ins, is the deliverability of it. Running an email marketing campaign would be useless if the emails keep falling into the junk folders of my recipients. I know I would not check my spam mail and I do not expect them to. Therefore, I need a program that ensures that each and every mail that I send out reaches my target.

I am going to let my friend know about this because with ten thousand names on his list, he surely needs a good bulk email marketing solution.

Improved Rankings ~ YaY!

I am sure you know that last weekend, a lot of blogs lost their Google Page Rank. Well, mine did too. So two days ago, I wrote in to one of the marketplaces to let them know that I lost my ranking and to adjust the internal rankings of my blogs. Moreover, my Technorati ranking in their system is also wrong. If you have been reading my blog a few months ago, you will know that I had some issues over there that caused my authority not updated for ages.

I was expecting my internal ranking to fall for one of my blogs but I still have to get it adjusted, shabby as it is, because I did not want to unwittingly give a wrong impression to advertisers.

Surprisingly, I received a reply that all my rankings IMPROVED because Google Page Rank does not play a major role in their internal ranking!

I hope that NOW, more advertisers will accept my bid! It has been 1.5 months of dry spell!

Life In A New City

My friend, Alex, recently moved to Adelaide after finishing university in Sydney. He said he would like to start a new life in a new city as he relishes the new challenges that lie ahead.

I really salute him that he is able to uproot himself from a comfortable life like that without any definite plans in Adelaide. Alex only started looking for jobs in Adelaide after he had toured the city for a month and enjoyed himself as if he were a tourist! He did not even bother to browse through Adelaide classifieds every day! Ahhh what a carefree life he leads!

Alex also told me that he expects dating in Adelaide to be interesting and exciting with all the hot babes in the city! How hot, I guess I will have to wait for PHOTOS!!! Or wait for him to come home with a beautiful girl on his arm! That is possible, you know!

Which Poker?

The other day, a reader reprimanded me for writing about gambling. Well, I have to disagree that gambling is evil. The problem actually stems from the way we handle gambling.

I started gambling when I was young. I shall not reveal the age as it would probably shock some people. Speaking from experience, I think that gambling is fine as long as there is no addiction or obsession to it. Instead, it is a great recreational sport to test your skills and sharpness of mind.

A few years ago, I started to be interested in poker after watching a show on TV. I was impressed that there are pro-gamblers who make and lose millions just playing poker. Of course, I am not in that league but that spurred me to do some research to see if and where I could make some pocket money.

A search on the internet returned a list of online casinos offering poker and to look for the best site is pretty daunting and confusing what with my lack of knowledge and experience.

Luckily, I was told that I should start my research reading review sites like WhichPoker.com. I am glad that I did because they give very comprehensive reviews of some of the top poker sites. I read their reviews of Pacific Poker, Poker Stars and Paradise Poker. According to Which Poker, Party Poker is the top online poker site but that does not mean that sites like Pacific Poker is sub standard. In fact, only the high scorers are featured on the site.

If you have been wondering, “Which Poker?”, wonder no more as you can make a better decision after reading such thorough reviews.

An iPod, Please!

If you are a regular reader of this blog, you would know that I have made numerous attempts at winning an iPod by joining blog contests that offered an iPod as a prize. So far, I have not been successful not for lack of trying but rather Lady Luck has failed me miserably.

If you have read those posts, you would know that I always put in my best effort, simply because I would really love to win an iPod. If there is one word to put it, it’s DESPERATE.

It can be pretty VERY boring commuting to and from work every day, including Saturdays and Sundays on a bus full of strangers that are just waiting to make small talk. If I could carry music with me in an iPod, strangers would not bother me when I don’t give them a reaction since I can’t hear them with my ears plugged! That would be a perfect excuse.

You are probably thinking that I should BUY my own iPod. I know but just this week, I requested a cheque from Advertlets for RM110 and it is only expected to arrive in December, just before Christmas I hope, and it is still way short of the price of an iPod.

The lucky thing is that Advertlets and Faces magazine are giving away exclusive prizes to members and one of them is the iPod. I am hoping to bag this prize! Just for the record, I have been a member of Faces for years and I am not only now registering with them just so that I could participate in this contest.

I have entered many contests on Faces and never lucky enough to win. I hope that this iPod will make up for all the past disappointments.

Faxing On The Go

When I first discovered the internet, one of the things that fascinated me was that we could send and receive faxes on the computer over the internet connection. Back then, it was a BIG DEAL to own a fax machine at home and when we needed to send or receive fax, we would have to do it from an ‘office’.

However, since then, the internet has evolved so much that we could now do it from a computer and even PDA. Some people may prefer real document fax over Internet Fax which is email based but this is an ideal solution, not to mention, the most cost effective, for business people who are always on the move.

I personally know of executives who are in a few different countries every week and they live out of the suitcase. They equip themselves with electronic gadgets like laptop, PDA and smart phone and they keep in constant contact with their office via phone calls and email and faxes.

Metro Hi Speed offers two different packages to individual and small businesses as well as to corporate clients. At only a basic price of $12.95 per month to fax 1,000 pages, this price is really worth the mobility and freedom it accords.
