Dream Mediterranean Vacation

I wrote recently that a friend asked me if I have no care in the world and could go off for a month long holiday, where would I go. After checking out various popular holiday destinations, I have decided to be a little more adventurous and go for a Mediterranean holiday. Whether I will be able to make it is another matter but dreams are free, aren’t they?

Countries in the Mediterranean are becoming increasingly popular among savvy travellers as they have a wonderful culture and tradition due to their unique location between Asia and Europe so they have influences from both continents.

If I were to take a holiday to the Mediterranean, of course I would be doing the smart thing and visit a few places. The places in my “must visit” list would include Malta, Cyprus, Crete. From what I understand, Crete, Cyprus or Malta hotels are usually fully booked during peak holiday season so it would be wise to book your hotels online.

I know some websites all us to make reservations for up to a year ahead while some could offer us last minute deals so no matter how we plan out vacation in the Mediterranean, make sure that you have your reservations at one of the Malta, Cyprus or Crete hotels confirmed!

I got to know that budget Cyprus hotels start from as low as EUR24 only and I think that is a great bargain. It’s not as expensive as I thought they were. Perhaps with prudent planning, my dream Mediterranean vacation would come sooner than later!

Alexa Redirect Not Working

Guess what? This morning, I discovered that Alexa redirect was not working so I went around my blogs editing my URL for all my blogs so that “clickers” will not get a dead link and close the window instead of deleting the redirect themselves.

Bah… I really hate the extra work but then I was rather free this morning and it was also high time I deleted some of the other links that were on my sidebar so it was a welcome break from blogging.

I wonder how long the redirect was broken, causing me to lose cross traffic. I guess now with the redirect taken off, it would be better in the long run except that it will not help me lower my Alexa ranks.

This is one of the reasons I never use short URL. Once the server is down, your site will be inaccessible as well, even though your site is actually fine, but who, using your short URL, could reach you? Hah…. no more Alexa redirects from now on!

My Naked Device II

It has been almost two months that I have been using my Apple iPhone and it is still naked! I can’t seem to find a proper “condom” for it. Well, there is no surprise, actually. I have used my Nokia E61i since June, 2007 and I still could not find a proper full body protection for it.

I blame it on living in backwater Ipoh! I can’t seem to find anything trendy here without buying them online. However, for something like protection for my devices, I prefer to be able to test them first to see if they are actually adding inches to my devices and make them bulky or if they actually offer it protection from scratches or drops.

HHmm I surfed to so many sites that offer cases for the iPhone and I must say some of them are really fancy but they come with an equally fancy price tag as well! I don’t mind winning a case, though!

It’s Great To PiNG Again!

It’s been a long time since I ping-ed the local blog aggregator. That’s because I was so busy with blogging that I forgot to Ping. Naturally, my traffic suffered and I was not happy with that. Now that my blogging has actually slowed down, though looking at my blog, you can’t really tell, I can take a little breather and Ping whatever services instead of rushing to another post.

Well there are good and there are bad sides to everything, of course.

Did you know that yesterday, I actually remembered to Ping Petaling Street for all my blogs? Heh… I love seeing the traffic come in even though I may not benefit from them al that much but it’s great to see the statistics.

I hope I will continue to remember to Ping. It’s hard to remember after such a long time not doing it!
