Blogs Loading Slowly

Even though I have stripped off AdSense from my blogs, I am heavily dependant on a local blog advert to sustain them financially. However, it does not help that the loading times of these blocks of advertisements load extremely slow, dragging the load times of my blogs. I know the culprit and it sometimes are not even able to display any ads but show a blank box or a little square with a red X replacing the image.

I have already mentioned this to the head honcho, only because when this happens, my traffic is not recorded, hence I am not being compensated for the actual amount of impressions my blogs managed to generate and that means loss of income to me.

So what do I do? Do I just remove them for the sake of my blogs and a better reader experience or do I bear with it and hope that things will improve? I am still waiting for see what exclusive programme they come with so that I could decide which company to stick to exclusively. Since the launch of the exclusive club of the OTHER company, I am not getting my rightful share of the pie and it pisses me off because I worked so hard on building my blogs, been with them since the beginning and now I am being shortchanged just because I do not show total loyalty?

No Archive For Three Months

I received an assignment that comes with a requirement of no archiving of that particular post for three months. I said “No, thank you”. For one, I hate shifting the time of my posts to keep them on the front page. It is unfair to the others who have paid for their spot on the front.

It is also not fair to me as a blogger to give the advertiser a feature post for three months for $10. A feature post would cost a whole lot more than that, don’t you think so?

Also, it is against the TOS of some companies to shift the timestamp of our blog posts. Will $10 be worth it if we are caught and banned from one marketplace? I don’t think so. With the dry season upon us, we really cannot afford to be banned ANYWHERE!

Informative Denver Magazine

Have you seen the latest copy of Denver Magazine? I have known of Denver Magazine for a long time and it is amazing to see how fast this magazine has grown.

When I was first introduced to Denver Magazine last year, I remember they were only announcing the launch of the magazine and they had a very simple website. Look at them now, a full-fledge magazine for people in Denver and visitors to Denver.

Whether you are planning a trip to Denver or not, whether you are going to Denver on business or for pleasure, I am sure that your trip will be enriched if you have the latest copy of Denver Magazine on hand to show you the city in the day and at night.

Did you know that there are many people who are outside of Denver subscribing to the magazine? That is because these people find Denver Magazine to be an interesting read and full of useful local information.

30-day Old Blogs Too Young

What do you think of the new TOS of TigaP where they will accept blogs that are only as young as thirty days with only ten existing posts? I think that this is a desperate measure by TigaP to counter the numerous member blogs that have been sandboxed by Big G so they need to replenish their inventory with young, virgin blogs.

I ask you, I am sure you have started blogs before. Thirty days, what sort of value can this young blog give to the advertiser? I have started many blogs and I tell you, building content and traffic is not easy at all. The difference between me and other bloggers is that I never let my family and real friends know of my blogs and I do not join any community or am I part of a clique. Also, I do not go avisting to other blogs because I have no time.

So, what others can do in thirty days, perhaps I require sixty or ninety days but to be honest, you cannot do much with a blog that is only thirty days old. All the stats will be horrible and who wants to advertise on such a blog knowing that the risk of this blog being killed upon the next update is high?

Spy Is Back!!!

Recently, I have been so busy with my new blogs that I did not really check my traffic sources. I know that most people came to read my opinion on the Edison Chen sex scandal so I did not waste time checking.

But there was somebody missing from my blogs. This morning, I realised that the spy that used to come a few times a day, did not come since 9th February, 2008. He came today, as usual, making his/her rounds to all my blogs. Why the long interval? He also celebrated Chinese New Year meh? /sarcasm

This is one person that I will never miss even if he never comes. Is there a way to ban him/her from my blogs? I know there is but do I want to do that? What if he/she gets so pissed off that I am reported to the higher authorities or something?

Huh… what to do? What to do to get this monkey off my back?

The Kona Kava Farm Website

I was looking for information on Kona Kava when I came across the website konakavafarm.com. If you have not heard of Kona Kava, where have you been? It seems to be on the lips of so many people touting the goodness of the Kava root.

I this it is a tonic drink that energizes us and helps us to de-stress. I need a drink like this as I am totally stressed out right now but I can’t find it in local stores. That was what led me to look for it online.

I was told that preparation of the Kava drink is extremely simple. Just mix the Kava powder with water in a large bowl, that’s it! With my hectic lifestyle, I certainly need drinks like these. The less hassle to prepare, the better for me!

Have you tried Kona Kava yet? If you have, what do you think of the drink?

Do You Want A Blogger In Parliament?

JO, our blogger taikor, has a badge on his blog urging us to put a blogger in Parliament. Well, this is a moot question for many of us as we are not a registered voter in that particular constituency.

I didn’t even read his blog or check what he is up to until a friend, who is a personal friend of JO, told me that JO is seeking funds to contest in the 12th General Election.

It seems that there are many people who are supportive of his cause. Maybe they are his loyal readers or they are his real-life friends or well, they are die-hard DAP supporters. I don’t know. If you are a blogger, what do you think if we have a blogger representative in Parliament and an opposition to boot?

It would be awesome if the blogger in Parliament is female. Hah… you think it will then be so easy to bully female bloggers?
