Bulk Fresh Wedding Flowers

My friend, Grace, was supposed to help her sister order fresh flowers in bulk for her wedding. And guess what? Grace forgot all about her new task and only remembered it at the last minute. By then, the florist had to decline her order as they would not be able to deliver bulk wedding flowers at such a short notice.

Well, I told Grace about Fifty Flowers who would be able to deliver fresh flowers over night especially for weddings. Heck, they are the experts when it comes to such important events like weddings and parties where fresh flowers are required.

Grace, of course, will be placing an order quietly without her sister’s knowledge. Grace may have agreed to buy bulk wedding flowers but she never did say where she will buy them from! I believe that her sister will not mind, as long as there are fresh flowers to grace her wedding reception!

Are You Ready To Vote In The Malaysia’s 12th General Election?

Malaysians who are registered voters will go to the polls on March 8th, 2008. Are you ready? Are you ALREADY registered as a voter? If you are not, I guess it is too late to register now. Why la wait till the last minute? You KNOW that you vote, every vote counts and it is your birth right to choose the people’s representative in your constituency.

Every General Election has interesting turns of events. There will be giant killers, there will be unexpected wins and losses. Who will win and who will lose? It’s all up to use to decide. Sure you may think that your one vote is just a drop in the bucket but imagine, a vote here and a vote there eventually adds up.

I may not be a political blogger but I do follow Malaysian politics closely and come from a very politically aware family. Heck, nowadays, wherever you go, I am sure your will be sucked into a kopishop political debate.

No matter who your favorite candidates are, that is supposed to be a secret so vote smartly, vote for the person who can DO something for you. Don’t only vote for the leng chais and leng luis la, OK?

The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo

Some months back, I wrote a post on the Houston Rodeo and how my sister invited me to go watch it with her. That post received a warm reception from readers who all encouraged me to go because it would be a lifetime experience. Unfortunately, my sister has not been feeling very well and so I am not even sure if my trip is still ON.

So my sister said, if we do miss that, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo which will be held in December, would be a good show to watch instead. Of course, I would prefer to watch Bon Jovi in concert that will be playing in Tennessee, my sister’s home city, BUT my sister is adamant to introduce rodeo to me. She has been to one a year ago when her fiancé received a pair of NFR Tickets at a company raffle.

Since then, my sister has been saying that I should watch it because it is very interesting and exciting and certainly nothing that I have ever seen before. I have been to quite a number of sporting events before but definitely not rodeo and I am so looking forward to my first show.

And to have the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, which is also known as the Super Bowl of Rodeo, as my first ever rodeo show would be awesome!

Passion Blogs Neglected

I have spent the whole week blogging and blogging but the thing is, I am not blogging on my passion blogs and I feel so bad about it because on my passion blogs, although there is no pressure to update them, I do have very loyal readers who come for a good read because there are no advertisements on them, some do not even have AdSense and believe me, they load so fast, faster than blogs with AdSense and worse, blogs that have local ad block codes, ITK and other java scripts.

Each time I am busy like this and do not have the time to blog on my passion blogs, it is hard to build it up again, the readership and the rapport. I am sure I am not the only one feeling so but what I don’t understand is how some people are able to keep almost a hundred blogs and websites and still going strong? No need to sleep ar?

As for me, I wake up at six in the morning and by lunch time at 2pm, I have already put in a solid eight hours of work. This is the average number of hours an office worker puts in a day, isn’t it? And then I continue putting in a few hours here and there until about 10pm where I will sit at the computer until my work for the day is done and by then, it could be 4am or so.

Please tell me I am NOT going to kill myself!

Unsightly Varicose Veins

When my friend, Mary, told me that she is “suffering” from varicose veins, I told her that she should not worry about it because it is a very common problem.

However, Mary said that she is suffering from low self-esteem because of that! I told her that if this is so, she can always “cover up” with long skirts or pants. But Mary says that covering up does not get to the root of the problem. Mary also associates Varicose or Vericose Veins, with old age. Well, it is just ONE of the many factors!

I guess when a person’s mind is fixated on something, it is hard to get her to think about something else!

Do you think that Mary should do something about her veins? She said that there are treatments for this. Although I think that her condition is not that bad, Mary thinks that she should arrest the problem while it is at the “not so bad” stage. Hhmm I think it’s ultimately up to her. The most important thing is to be happy with herself!

TigaP’s New Captcha Format

Did you notice a new Captcha format for TigaP opportunities? I think that is pretty awful! Previously, the Captcha tests us visual and our ability to decipher these strange words that are not real words.

Now? They are testing our reading speed, typing speed AND History, mathematics and English vocabulary.

Who was the first President of the United States (Last name only)? Do you know Washington? If you have put anything other than Washington, you would have failed to reserve your opp. Teettt that’s History, American History, for you. This is like asking an American who was Malaysia’s first Prime Minister?

Be prepared to also answer questions like, so-and-so earned $50 from blogging for five days. How much did she earn per day? So, here is the opp for $2500 and you are supposed to do this really simple math of dividing $50 by five and yet due to nervousness, you could very well know the answer but still key in the wrong numbers, know what I mean?

Whatever, I just see these little things as obstacles for us to overcome if we still want to be in the game.

Choosing The Right Hotel

My friend, Fatty, asked me if I like to plan for a holiday. I said no, because when I can get away for a holiday, it is always a last minute trip and you know how last minute reservations for EVERYTHING can be, right?

However, I am not a frequent traveler so when it comes to planning for a vacation, I cannot compare to him. Fatty plans ALL his family vacations to a T and all his wife and children have to do is to enjoy themselves.

Fatty also asked me what I look for in my hotels. Frankly, when it comes to accommodation, five star hotels are way out of my budget, so what I look for in my hotels are just cleanliness, amenities, location and of course the low rates.

Fatty told me that I should also check out reviews of hotels and user ratings. Just like when he made hotel reservations for an Italian holiday where he read through the reviews of a Rome hotel which he eventually booked and also a Milan hotel based on user ratings. The more people who are satisfied enough with a hotel to take the trouble to get online to rate it, the higher points it will score in Fatty’s book.

This year end, Fatty plans to take his family to London because a cousin is getting married. Can you believe that he has already started doing his comparison research on London hotels right now and it is only just February?

I teased him about it but he said that this is what I should do for my trip to Paris too! He said that I should not simply make reservations for a Paris hotel just because it is cheap. Well, I don’t know. I can’t even spare the time to do such a thorough research. Perhaps I can solicit Fatty’s help since he seems to enjoy vacation planning and he seems to have all the time in the world to do so!
