Adopting Internet Technology In Daily Lives

Internet technology has evolved so much that I feel that if we don’t adopt its advancement, we are losing out. In fact, the faster we implement IT in our daily life and work, the better it is or the IT divide becomes even greater.

A friend who runs his business in New York says that he is doing fine as it is even without IT. I am sure he is using it but not in a major scheme, just that he does not realize that.

I told him that if he continues to deny that he needs IT, then the loser is only himself. IT would help him to be more efficient and productive and lower his overhead cost too. It will require less human hours and manpower to run certain projects that his company is involved in also. The earlier he checks out New York IT services that are available to him and suitable to the needs of his company, the better it will be for him.

You know, New York is so advanced that it is pretty surprising that there is still people like my friend who thinks that IT is a just a passing fad or something. I am sure he will thank me if he implements IT in a larger scale and finds how much time, energy, resources and money he saves.

Google Chrome is OUT

As expected, Google released their new browser, Chrome. It is in BETA so do not have that high of an expectation as there may be bugs now and then. Heck, there is even a mega bug in Gmail even though it has been, what, two years since they released it?

I have already downloaded the installer for Google Chrome but have yet to download and install the browser because I just don’t have the time to do it right now. Busy, busy!

If you would like to try Google Chrome, you can get the installer from http://www/google.com/chrome or via a link from Google.com. If you are already using it, how is your experience? What do you think of Google Chrome? How does it stack up against Mozilla Firefox or Windows Internet Explorer?

Just What Sports Fans Need

How big of a sports fan are you? Although I love sports, I do not own any sports memorabilia. However, I do understand why some sports fans feel the need to wear the jersey number of their favorite sports celebrity. They are only doing what I do with my favorite singer, Jon Bon Jovi.

My sister tells me that NFL is huge in the United States. One of her co-workers celebrated his birthday recently and my sister and the rest of the colleagues pooled their funds together to buy nfl merchandise as his birthday gift. I understand that he already has a huge collection of NFL merchandise but for a fan, one could never have enough!

I just told my sister about a sports fan online store where she would be able to purchase anything from NFL uniform sets to accessories to collectibles of the highly popular sports teams. Their prices are really reasonable too as far as I could see.

Hopefully, next year, when they need to buy NFL items as birthday gift again, they could get some savings, unlike this year where they paid premium for it! FanShopInc.com offers rush delivery as well, which is perfect for that last minute gift! If you are looking for NFL merchandise, apparel or collectibles, check out the huge selection from FanShopInc.com!

Google Joins Browser War With Google Chrome

Google will release their spanking new beta browser named Google Chrome to Windows users in over a hundred countries starting tomorrow.

Despite the popularity of Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is still the leader in browser market share. I am still using IE, much to the chagrin of my web designer.

How Google Chrome will be accepted is still unknown but there are plans to release Google Chrome for MAC and Linux systems at a later date. Google, though, promises that Chrome will provide faster page loads and a higher level of security. These are the two main issues that any web browser is concerned about. I look for user-friendliness as well.

One feature that would set Google Chrome apart from other existing browsers is the “incognito ” feature that will not leave any browsing history on the system. I understand that once launched, Google Chrome could be downloaded at http://www.google.com/chrome/

Free Photoshop Patterns & Brushes

Although I may not be a graphic designer, running twenty blogs and a personal website and ecommerce store, I sometimes have to depend on myself to do a little graphic work if friends are unwilling to help and I am too cheap to hire a designer. Hehe!

A little while ago, I learned of this Photoshop resource website called Brusheezy that offers an awesome collection of free Photoshop Patterns. If you have been looking for something fresh, something different, something that would make your graphics stand out, then Brusheezy is the place that you should check.

Brusheezy also offers an even larger collection of free Photoshop brushes. You should take a look even if you are not a professional designer.

Follow A Blogger Blog

Blogger will soon be rolling out a Follow feature, which is like a little widget that shows off small images of your visitors. I hate that. When you come visit me, you can be sure that I will not have that widget on my blog (unless I am paid to put it up). LOL

This is because I hate to subject this on people who, like me, do not like it to be known that I have visited such and such a blog. I do not see the benefit of it except to quench our own curiosity of who among our blog friends came and read our blog.

I remember saying to a friend that her blog follower widget was breaking up her layout. I told her that she should remove it since it serves no purpose. She said that she wants to keep it because she would like to know who dropped by. DUH.

Anyway, no matter how popular such follow widgets get, I am adamant that I will not use it. I would like to maintain my privacy and I will accord this to my blog readers.

The Evolution of The World Wide Web

Over the past five years, the internet has changed so much. It used to be a source of information but now, it has turned into a global social arena and international marketplace. I believe that all of us have at least bought something online once. While we used to buy books and DVDs, we now have no qualms buying food stuff over the internet.

My friend shops for her baby’s supply of pediasure online because she says that it is so convenient. Just charge the credit card and it will be delivered to her door. She doesn’t even have to pay for shopping because online stores like Allegro medical are very competitive in their pricing and offer free shipping on orders.

It will be very interesting to see how much further the world wide web will evolve another five years into the future.
