Informative Lap Band Resource Site

I have, from time to time, mentioned a friend who ballooned up so much that he looked like a small hippopotamus. While I am not laughing at him, we are all concerned about his drastic weight gain. He is also, that is why he is considering a lap band surgery.

He told me that he is currently in search of more information on the procedure and talking to people who are thinking of undergoing the same treatment and also those who have successfully implanted the lapband. They have even recommended him a good Lap Band Surgeon Mexico seems like one of the safest and cheapest place to get it done outside of the United States.

My friend told me that from the resource site, www.mylapbandsurgery.com, where he is a active forum member, he read that he could save up to 75% savings for the same treatment should it be done in the Mexico. Moreover, he would qualify for a free doctor’s appointment, a free $500 travel voucher and a lifetime of free fills.

I was surprised to know that lapband medical technology in Mexico is even more advanced than the United States but considering that Mexican doctors have been treating patients since the 1980s while this procedure was only approved in the United States in 2001, doctors in Mexico have many more years of experience than their American counterparts.

He also told me that other patients were saying that the hospital is Mexico is like a luxurious and nothing like the kind of hospitals that we know of, that put fear into people. According to testimonials, many people enjoyed their trip to Mexico and treated it like a vacation!

While I think my friend should do something with his weight, I told him that he should be a hundred percent certain that this is what he wants to go through but he is quite positive that this is the only way to achieve what he wants where other weight loss programs have failed. He said he will make the final decision once he has weighed the pros and cons of a lapband surgery and getting all the information he wants by calling toll-free 866.309.0036 and direct line at 386.206.9358.

Well, if he is happy, I am happy for him too.

Playing With Virtual Dolls

The other day, I was chatting with my childhood friend about how we used to play with cotton rag dolls and how kids these days have it so easy. My friend told me that her daughter now plays with dolls online. Well, that was news to me because I did not know that dolls have gone virtual as well.

She also said that her daughter loves to play with virtual stuff animals on webkinz and how we had to beg our parents to buy us our stuffed animals.

With kids nowadays so web savvy, I am not surprised that Cartoon Doll Emporium is one of the most popular websites that cater to kids receiving more than three million unique visitors per month. This is a staggering figure. It is also estimated that each kid spends an average of twenty minutes per visit. This is very impressive. I don’t even spend more than ten minutes on any website!

However, if I have my own daughter, I also prefer her to play with virtual dolls and stuffed animals. This is the new age now.

Technical Support Just A Call Away

Oh my goodness! Today, I sent more than 20 SMS messages to my friend asking him to help me set up my new internet connection. I feel bad now because he just replied me telling me to dial 1-886-GeekNeed instead.

I do realize that I have treated him like my very own personal technical support line especially when something bad happens to my computer like the time it was infected with a Trojan that totally crippled it or the time I kept getting the Blue Screen of Death which was later attributed to a dying power supply.

Now that I know where to get cheap technical support via the telephone, I need not bother my friend anymore. He should have let me know sooner! At only $1.99 per minute after we have explained our problem for free, it surely is very reasonable.

What I like about 1-886-GEEKNEED is that they even could log on to our computer to repair or troubleshoot it remotely. Ahh.. I have longed for someone, just anymore, to come and take care of my troublesome computer for more. I have now found someone who would not complain!

My friend has wondered why my computer seems to give me so many problems and has insulted me by saying that it is “user-problem”. Well, let me show him that now my computer is 100% healthy. He doesn’t need to know that I am calling 1-866-GeekNeed, does he?

Irritating Content Link

For the past two weeks, I have visited so many different blogs. What I like about blogs is that each owner has its own personalized or customized layout. While I have been impressed by some layouts, I have at the same time been put off by quite a handful as well.

One thing I exceptionally dislike is the thing called “Content Link”. I think that is what it is called. I am not sure how it is implemented, perhaps it is a plug-in or whatever, but I have no idea why anyone would want that on their blogs. Perhaps it is another mode of monetization but I think that to have all the little bubbles popping up each time I hovered my cursor over a link ACCIDENTALLY, the pop up comes out, blocks my view of the text field and interrupts my reading. There goes my mood for reading because I keep losing my reading momentum.

Although this could be a way to further receive revenue each time someone clicks on the link that appears in those little oblong pop-ups, I find it bad form should these links appear in a sponsored post.

Can you imagine how you will feel if you, the advertiser, have paid for the text post and then there comes all these links in bubbles popping up all over your blog post trying to lure away your market?

I think that blog owners who have implemented this should serious consider removing them because it is very unfair to the advertiser. What do you think?

Getting A Legal Will Online

Recently, my uncle, who lives in British Columbia, Canada, had a health scare. He was going in and out of the hospital so much that we thought it was something serious. We asked our aunt if he has a legal Will but he did not and because he was so preoccupied with hospital visits and doctor’s appointment, he could not spare the time to get it done at the lawyer’s office.

A colleague then recommended Easy Legal Will to them where they could get a legal Will online. After paying $59 by PayPal or credit card, my uncle was given a series of questions to answer. My uncle did that as accurately as possible and soon enough, the Will was ready to be printed out and signed.

While all these seems ordinary enough, my Uncle could return to the website anytime within the year to have his Will edited or revise or even rewritten at no extra cost.

After one year, my Uncle could extend his service by only paying $19 and he will also receive a second account for free which could be given to anyone he wishes. Of course my aunt should get that, shouldn’t she?

I really love the internet. It seems as if there will be companies offering any service that are useful to people who do not have access to people in real life. I am still amazed by the things that are online.

Malaysian Bloggers Community Forum

Well, I thought I’d give this a mention since I just joined the forum a couple of hours ago. This forum is set up by Daryl W.T. Lau of My List fame, with the intention of allowing Malaysian bloggers an opportunity to converge in their very own virtual playground. However, I am sure that non-Malaysians are welcomed as well.

This forum is very new so there aren’t that many postings going on but this is want community-ship is all about. Everyone goes in and contributes something and build the board from scratch.

Daryl says that the forum is not monetized and not linked from his blog but will only be introduced via email, blogs and word of mouth. True enough, there were no advertisements or affiliate links that I could see.

When I first accessed the forum, I felt lost because I could not navigate to other threads. And I was thinking that the forum is not so user-friendly and here I am a retired forummer losing her way in a forum.

However, once my account was activated, the whole forum was accessible to me. Ah, I did not know that most of the board is only opened to registered members. So if you want to join us at the all new Malaysian Bloggers Community forum, go to http://earn-money-blogging.com/forum and register yourself. It is FREE!

Pretty Pissed Off

Last night, I reserved an opp and wrote it up as soon as possible. However, I was unable to publish my post on my Blogger blog. I went to the log in page but the log in box was not there! How the hell could I input my log in ID and password? I thought it was a temporary glitch. Time passed while I kept refreshing my page. I tried to go to Gmail and Google Adsense but the pages were not able to display. Only Google Search worked but it was very buggy.

I thought that Google was down and if it was, they recover quite fast because they are so efficient. So I wait a little bit more. I tried to access Blogger on my other computer but the same thing happened, without the log in box.

I used Google Search to look for an answer and to check if anyone faced the same problem. There were many people who also could not log in to Google services but their problem was different and it happened last month and that problem should have been fixed. I tried checking out some forums to see if there were complaints but there was none!

I sent my friend an SMS text and asked him to try accessing the various services and he said that he could access them and that it could be my Streamyx problem since he is using Maxis and Celcom broadband connections.

After one hour, I decided not to wait further and went ahead to published my post on my other blog. I was so upset because the post fit so well into the theme of my Blogger blog and it is just so out of place in my other blog but I had no choice.

After publishing and submitting my opp, I restarted my computer and then I had no problems with Blogger, Gmail and Adsense. You say %$&$($)&% or not? Was it Streaymx problem or my computer?

If it was computer problem, how come both computers also could not access Blogger earlier? If it was Streamyx, how could the problem be solved when I only restarted my computer and not the modem?

UUgghhh!!!
