Creating Websites Easily

I mentioned that I bought a domain name not too long ago and it is another round of headache for me trying to look for a suitable design and theme for my website. I was told to check out Web.com which has a Do-It-Yourself Site Builder. Web.com is a company that provides web hosting and designing, eCommerce and web marketing among a host of other services.

Web.com has a number of web packages with different features to meet our budget and needs whether we require it for personal or commercial use. For example, since I am only setting up a personal website, Web.com has just the right package for me at $11.95 per month and this comes with a free domain name fro one year. I find that this is real value for money because while other sites may offer almost similar rates, they do not provide free Google AdWords credit or free Yahoo! Search Marketing credit.

What I like though, is that we can build our own website easily guided by the available tools provided by Web.com. If clients of Web.com have already created over four million websites using the Site Builder, I don’t see why I won’t be able to do it too!

Buy/Sell Blog Comments

I have known of this service since it first started. I can understand why people would want to buy them because as a blog for pay blogger with multiple blogs and coming up with multiple sponsored and non-sponsored posts daily, it leaves me no time at all to network. Of course, networking is crucial in building back links and hence, upping my Page Rank and authority.

The thing is, I find that t is actually a waste of money for the buyers when blog owners do not approve these blog comments to be published. I personally had to reject tens of such comments. I know the person tries to be as genuine as possible in his comment but not when it is the same person leaving multiple comments with odd product names.

I find that if people are looking to build links pointing back to their commercial site they are better off buying blog posts from bloggers like me. This way, the company would have its share of exposure, one way links and blog real estate, instead of having the link tucked in some comment section, if it was allowed to be published, even if the blog has implemented Do Follow.

What are your thoughts?

High Quality Cellular Shades

I was supposed to help my sister look for blinds for her windows as she started a home remodelling project. I thought I would just surf around the web when I remembered reading somewhere about the beautiful Cellular Shades that are sold by the company that supplies blinds to Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

So I went to Select Blinds and they are having a sale right now with prices slashed drastically. It is crazy sale time at Select Blinds! I browsed though the site and there is a wide selection of blinds available and each comes with a variety of colors to match the color scheme of your room!

I love it that these blinds not only are practical in providing the highest level of insulation and protects the room against UV rays from the sun but these blinds are also classy looking and of high quality. It looks like we do not have to compromise beauty for practicality.

I am not sure when this crazy sale will last but I am going to inform my sister about it to pick out her favorite cellular shades. I can’t decide for her since we different lucky colors!

In Post vs. Sidebar Link

I recently bought a new domain name and of course, the first thing I did was to link up my new baby from my blogs. What I noticed is that I received an almost instant ping back from blogs that I linked to IN POST while the blogs that I linked to from the sidebar were not picked up yet.. or maybe AT ALL. Anyway, that’s just my little observation.

Perhaps, it is because the blogs that I linked this new domain name from the sidebar are Blogger blogs while those I linked to in post are own hosted blogs where I have a long list of ping services entered in my control panel that caused this almost instant Ping back detection. Blogger does not have this feature, as far as I know, though I have checked the option about Pinging from my Blogger admin page.

Anyway, I am going to try this little experiment a few more times and see what happens and if my deduction is right.

DeMark Financial Services: Oregon Mortgage Refinance

I was just surfing around the internet randomly when I perchance the website of DeMark Financial Services. I actually remember browsing this site before months ago but I don’t mind going through the articles again because interest rates have dropped and now is a good time to pursue an Oregon mortgage refinance.

To me, when interest rates drop like this it is a golden chance for homeowners to remortgage their home and take advantage of the lower rates. This will of course save them a lot of money if they know how to play their cards right, but I think that a lot of people who are caught by the high interest rates are first time homeowners so services provided by DeMark Financial Services and their wealth of experience is actually very useful in determining the kind of loan product that best fits the homeowner.

Although I do not own a home, I am very interested in home loans and the headache that comes with owning a home because I realize that my knowledge would come in useful when I commit myself to buying a home. At this point, with the lower interest rates, I think that local residents should seek an Oregon mortgage refinance. This is the right time for it so act fast!

Writing Funny On Purpose

Recently, I have been trying to write all my posts in a search engine friendly way even when I am not writing sponsored posts. Sometimes you will find me repeating some words, sometimes I word my sentence awkwardly. The only thing that I haven’t done is to spell my words wrongly on purpose hahaha!

After checking my the traffic log of my blogs, I see most of my traffic coming from search engines and I am trying to do a little experiment, writing in a way that I think people will search using the keywords that I have used in my posts.

Doing this experiment, I am hoping that I could garner more traffic and ultimately, readers who would return. I know some people may not like my sponsored posts, even though I am trying my best to keep it at 50% at the most, but then some people do think that sponsored posts have value too. Besides, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do!

Sydney Plans

Just now I had a chat with my friend Grace who lives in Sydney. She invited me for a visit, except that I would have to find my own accommodation because she is in the midst of renovating her house. Boy, I can live without the noise and dust and I would rather pay for my accommodation in one of the scenic Sydney Hotels.

Grace recommended Darling Harbour Hotels to me which she says is within walking distance to the many restaurants and bars and fine dining. Oh, she is tempting me with food! According to CheaperThanHotels.com, a 3-star Darling Harbour Hotel starts from AUD120. It’s kind of out of budget, though, unfortunately, but luckily too. I am fat enough and don’t need to fight off the temptation of food even in Sydney! That would be tough to resist!

I checked the rates of North Sydney Hotels and they look more affordable with prices starting from AUD59 only and the location is convenient too, just north of Harbour Bridge. I hope that I am lucky enough to catch a show at the Opera House. I think we need to book our tickets in advance too!
