Second Thoughts

You may know that I have been contemplating a link baiting-cum-competition blitz through a local advertorial network. Well, while I am still waiting for his reply, I am already having second thoughts. It is not that I am stingy and do not want to pay that obscene amount of money for this blitz but last night, I received a very disturbing email from David saying that he (his blog) has been penalised for the sudden surge in back links to his site with a specific keyword after his very successful contest concluded.

See, my Page Ranks are only 3 and 2. I would so love to bring them up but if this is the price I have to pay, I would rather maintain my Ranks, low as they are. I don’t know. Suddenly a blitz does not look so good anymore.

If this is the case, then I would not e running a contest. Why would something fun be turned into a sour episode? I am not going to hand out prizes AND suffer the consequences. That would be so unfair. That would be like a double whammy!

A Post On Structured Settlements

The internet is so vast sometimes you don’t know who will come to read your blog. I know of people who set their Google Alerts to alert them of specific keywords that are published in blogs.

Actually, a few months ago, I didn’t even know of Google Alerts until I wrote a post on Structured Settlements. Whoa, I received so many hits from that through Google Alert because people wanted to see what I wrote about. SO that was how I heard of Google Alert.

It is strange that people wanted to read a post on Structured Settlement, though, because that was just my humble opinion, a sharing of a new knowledge but I guess some people do know not know to differentiate an opinion post from an authoritative post. Anyway, since that day, I am more careful of what I write about even if it is just my opinion.

If you are curious what structured settlement is all about you would have to check out in depth from StoneStreet Capital which runs a website at www.StoneStreet.com. That is what the internet is for. We get to compare opinions easily and not only treat a single voice as gospel. Once you have more information on structured settlements, you would be able to decide if cashing structured settlements is for you.

My “Naked” Device

Some of you may remember that I am using a Nokia E61i mobile device. After three months, it is still “naked” and I am rather desperate to skin it. Well, over the weekend, I went online looking for skins for it because I could not find a store that sells skins here. I chanced upon an online specialist store called Skin It that offers skins for all kinds of devices, laptops and game consoles.

I especially like their range of Laptop skins but unfortunately, I do not own a laptop yet. However, I am keeping a particular design in mind and hope that it will still be available when I finally buy that laptop.

Right now, I only want skins for my E61i but they do not have any for it. So my device will continue to be “naked” for now.

All Inclusive Honeymoons and Destination Weddings

While checking out some sites this afternoon, I came to a website called SuperClubs. I thought that this is an ordinary travel site and browsed through it. Some of you may know that I am planning a vacation but I really have no idea where I should go. I do have ideas, of course but nothing is tentative.

SuperClubs is actually more that a travel site. It caters to wedding couples who would love an unforgettable wedding experience by getting married right in the Caribbean or Jamaica and spend their honeymoon there.

Which cave have I been hiding in to only discover the popularity of all inclusive honeymoons right now? Did you also know that SuperClubs is the premier club offering all inclusive honeymoons and destination weddings? Well, I just found out about it as well!

If you are planning a wedding, you MUST check out SuperClubs. I bet that you would fall in love with the very idea of getting married in the Caribbean Islands, or Jamaica, if you wish! If you are already married, how about a second honeymoon there?

This Time Next Month

This time next month, I would have been with PayPerPost for slightly more than a year. This time next month though, PayPerPost will most probably have undergone a name, image and system change. After a year of PayPerPost (or PPP), it is certainly not a change that I am looking forward to. PayPerPost has been kind to me even after segmentation where I managed to snag a 1K Tuesday and a Worldwide Wednesday opp two months consecutively, how can I complain?

With changes, once again my income from PayPerPost will be threatened. IT was threatened when Posties were witch-hunting me and when geo-targeting was introduced and they were not happy moments of my PayPerPost life. And with this new change, I would have to re-adapt and revolve.

I just came from the PayPerPost blog a couple of hours ago. Ted, the CEO, has asked us to vote for our favorite domain name to be launched for Argus, the new “PayPerPost”. Sad to say, all four of them do not have the “umph”. They are not easy to remember, they are not easy to spell and they are certainly not easy to pronounce. In short, nobody wants tongue-twisters as domain names. I remember writing a post on branding and marketing on another blog and I mentioned that Schweppes the fizzy drink is not something that people like to order because they have trouble pronouncing it and even people who speak English may not be able to spell it.

With the name change, through, no matter what it is, I hope that it will have an “effect” on people. Sometime back, a local blogger, Ah Pek, paid tribute to Malaysian ladies who are top PayPerPost earners. To know what extent PPP has the effect on us in general, you have to read Ah Pek’s Mogulatis.

Do I Start Selling Replica Sunglasses?

When I was surfing the internet, I came across a website that sells Wholesale Sunglasses and I remembered that many of my friends told me to get something to sell. ANYTHING! They think that I am wasting my time surfing the internet without a purpose. Eh, I am doing “research”, OK?

I figured that since I love Sunglasses so much, this would be a good product for me to sell. I get to look at my fashionable best and I also get to make a profit from selling these. They are cheap but Buyers need not know, right? SSShhhh!

Anyway, if I could even sell a couple of them, I would have the rest of the dozen for free and I would be able to use them fr myself or to sell them for $$$ What do you think, shall I start selling replica sunglasses or do I look for another product to sell?

According to sources, replica sunglasses are the “IN” thing right now and I do plan to strike while the iron is hot!

Update On The News Room

Well, the other day, I wrote a post and wondered aloud if there was something wrong with The News Room. It was my mistake because it seemed to me that every blog which had the News Room widget was not working. But then, I later found out that it was MY browser problem.

There actually is nothing wrong with The News Room at all! I tried to view my post that has The News Room widget and I could view it perfectly fine with FireFox and Internet Explorer. it is just that with Maxthon, my default browser, it is not working.

Isn’t it weird when Maxthon uses the core of IE and works exactly like IE too, except for tab browsing. Anyway, I am glad to know that mystery is solved now and that I can continue to earn some money from the widgets and videos!
