Blog Streamlined

If you a regular here, you would most probably notice that I have streamlined somethings abut my blog. For one, my blogroll is a lot shorter now. Yes, I promised that I would visit everybody to look for the agreed reciprocal link and now that people have backed out from the agreement, then sorry, out they go too.

Also, I have deleted one of my pages. If you are not observant, you probably would not even know that one of my tabs is missing. Which tab? Well, I’m not telling.

I spent a considerable amount of time uploading and activating plug-ins after upgrading my blog to the last version of WordPress 2.3.1. So far, everything has gone smoothly, thankfully. I would hate to mess things up since I don’t handle such technical challenges well.

Explore around and you would notice the slight changes which are all thanks to the plug-ins. WordPress plug-ins are so nifty to use I a thankful that they were written to help make things a whole lot easier. Boy, am I glad I am not the one WRITING them!

No Fax Payday Loans

I have written quite a number of posts on payday loans. Did you know that even if two companies are offering payday loans, there may be differences in how they allow us to apply for their loans? One may require us to submit a lot of documents and paperwork while one may not even need us to provide any documents at all. The latter is called No Fax Payday Loans

By not having to provide any documents via fax, we actually save a lot of hassle. We can just apply for the payday loan online and approval is usually just half a day away.

This is very convenient especially for people seeking quick cash to meet the little financial set back for the short term and get the loan repaid when the next pay check is on hand.

While this may sound like to solution to your financial woes, it is not. It takes a lot of discipline to service the repayment on time.

Krillion – The Home Appliance Search Engine

Krillion is a very powerful home appliance search engine that is very useful if you are in the US and planning to buy any household item. The founder of Krillion believes that not everyone would be comfortable shopping online, yet these are net savvy people who would actually do their research on the internet first in terms of price, specification and performance before hopping over to their neighborhood store to make a final physical comparison before making a purchase.

Last week, my sister was looking for a hitachi 55 LCD but she did not know which neighborhood store has it in stock. What she did was to do a search on Krillion for her desired item and not only did she get to know which stores have the item, she was also able to read reviews from owners and compare prices.

I think that this is an application that should ideally be developed to include countries outside of the United States. That would be awesome!

iPhone Fever

It seems like a lifetime since I have been waiting for my iPhone to arrive. I hope that it will reach my hands by this month because this is a very special month. Today, I was feeling a little testy after waiting such a long time that I went to Flickr to look at photos of OTHER PEOPLE’S iPhone. Urghhh!!!

I actually wanted to view photos taken with the iPhone and not photos OF the iPhone but I could not find any. I’m not happy with the image quality of my Nokia E61i but then people tell me not to expect too much from a camera phone. They said that if I want a camera, go get a camera! Let me test out the iPhone’s camera first!!!

When I was browsing through Flickr, I came across this iPhone desktop wallpaper which was shared by a member. I have forgotten who but I grabbed it. See, iPhone Fever here :(

Seek Early Help In Addictions

A friend of mine was addicted to painkilllers at one point of his life. We understand what he went through and his irrational fear that he would die of pain if he did not pop a couple of painkillers into himself every couple of hours. Sometimes, he just did not realize it but keep eating more and more painkillers.

When he did realize it, he tried to throw them away only to succumb to his craving a short while later. Painkillers are so easily bought over the counter that it was not easy stopping him or helping him cure his addiction.

Someone then recommended that he go for a detoxification program to help clear him of this addiction from his mind and body. People say that the addiction starts from the mind and in my friend’s case, it was true. If he did not have the security of painkillers, he will think that he would suffer from tremendous pain.

However, the good news is that by using combined conventional and alternative treatment options, he managed to stay clean from painkillers. Although an addiction to painkillers is generally not as harmful as an addiction to drugs or alcohol, it is still an abuse which could damage his organs.

The treatment was very effective and we were amazed that he managed to kick the bad habit in such a short time. We wished that we had recognized his addiction sooner and sought help for him earlier.

Unwelcome Blog Reader

This morning, I checked my blog statistics and I noticed that someone from one of the search engines coming to my blog to read. I tell you, even if my blog does not have a reader at all, not even one, I would not welcome this reader at all. All I can think of that he or she is a spy. This person who works at a company that also sends out BOTS to index our posts shares the same IP address as the BOTs is a human and not a bot.

My friend told me not to fret but I can’t help it, not after what happened to my blogs a couple of weeks ago. I am very protective of them ahaha… and I can’t help wondering what happens if my blogs get de-indexed.

I know my fear is irrational but I can’t help myself. Call me negative minded or whatever, I just don’t have a good feeling about it. Well, what to do? We’ll cross that bridge when it comes.

Check Out The Online Teak Furniture Store

This morning, while I was just randomly surfing the internet looking for garden furniture, I came across this site Teak Wood Patio Furniture, that specializes in teak garden furniture. Actually, I never intended to get teak furniture for my garden because I have the impression that these are expensive items that only luxurious homes get to have.

However, now that I am introduced to them, I don’t think that they are too expensive. If you check out the designs and factor in the durability of teak wood, I am sure you would also think that they are very reasonably priced.

I think that teak benches would be a great addition to my garden, although I think that with these teak benches, the furniture would look mismatched but then if my parents love these then I may change all the garden furniture to teak wood. Then everything would look perfect.

And when I do have this perfect garden finally, I believe that I would throw garden parties every weekend!
