Ad Revenue Improved A Little

The other day, I wrote about suspecting that my page impressions are somehow not recorded by the local ads that I have implemented on the blog. Well, the boss told me to place the ads of a different format and also at some other more prominent spots on the blog, which I did.

After a couple of days, I do see a very slight improvement in my revenue. However, I still suspect that there is something wrong with the system. How can it be that I was earning 10 cents per day and it suddenly dropped to one cent per day only when the number of page impressions did not fluctuate all that much?

Of course, this figure is just for illustration purposes to show the steep drop. Is that a 90% drop? I think so and it baffles me. Sure the boss said that not all impressions are equal and I do agree with him but the equation still does not add up!

Actually, I did complain once before and the following day, my revenue went up once again to the old days. I still think there’s a problem over at their end, just that they are not admitting it!

Disposable Wedding Cameras

I went to a wedding dinner a couple of weeks ago where the bridal couple provided each guest with a disposable camera so that all of us could take candid shots of the wedding. We have the option of keeping the camera or hand the wedding cameras back to the bridal couple so that they could get the photos processed and compile a wedding photo album of candid shots, separate from the official professional wedding shots.

I first knew of this idea from an episode of Oprah Winfrey and I think it’s an absolutely wonderful idea but I still have no chance to use it for my own wedding reception yet. Haha!

I saw from an online store that these wedding cameras can be as cheap as $4 each. That’s wonderful. Can you imagine the cost of equipping each guest with a disposable camera if it was $40 each?? Eeeekkkkk

What’s Happening In Vegas This Weekend?

Well, if you are a serious blogger, I am sure that you will know of BlogWorld & New Media Expo and PostieCon. I’m not able to attend even of I wanted to because Vegas is like half a world away. Urggghhh I want swaggggg :-(

I hope that those who managed to go will have a great time, managed to learn new stuff, gain new readership and traffic, etc.

I went to the official website of Blog World Expo and I found the following interesting blog statistics:

Over 12 million American adults currently maintain a blog. –> And the majority of these twelve million American adults have more than one blog. SCARY!!

There are over 1.4 million new blog posts every day. –> I published more than ten posts on this blog alone yesterday. Heh I am a big contributor of the 1.4 million posts 😀

120,000 new blogs are created every day. –> With crazy bloggers like my friends, the number is only expected to go up!!

Blog readers average 23 hours online each week. –> Blog WRITERS average 23 hours online each DAY Woohooo!

OK… the other “facts” are not that interesting but if you are interested, check out Blog World Expo.

LinkWorth’s Contest Worth Joining

I received an email regarding the launch of LinkWorth’s in early November but I have procrastinated in my post. Yes, I am the queen of procrastinator! Anyway, November is my birthday month so I am going to try my luck while waiting for my iPhone to arrive. GGGGrrrrrr!!!

I have been a LinkWorth partner since the beginning I think. I don’t really know when LinkWorth was set up but I saw that they were heavily advertised on Google AdSense. So I signed up (no, I did not click on my own ads, OK?).

After signing up, I got so confused that I never did anything about submitting my blogs or set my price! I did not have the time to explore until a couple of months later. And then LinkWorth decided to change the layout of the user-control panel and supposedly made it more user-friendly. It’s still a little confusing and daunting to a new user but this is only because LinkWorth offers an all-in-one monster blog monetization program where we are paid per post, paid to place a link on the side bar AND MY FAVORITE: Dig a keyword out from my archives and place a link of the sponsor/advertiser to the keyword. I understand that this is a monthly recurring charge just like those sidebar text links.

Can you imagine NOT DOING ANYTHING AT ALL and get paid for your old written work??? That’s the best, I tell you!

I know that there are more features that LinkWorth has that I still do not understand. If you are not a LinkWorth member yet, join now. I am their partner where I share 50/50 with them but that is fine with me. If like me, you are confused with the many things that LinkWorth offers, all I can say is: CLICK ON ALL THE TABS!

Comparing & Applying For Credit Cards

When a friend asked me what credit card he should apply for, I told him that that is a sixty four million dollar question. There will never be a right or wrong credit card to apply for but it is just a matter of finding a card that meets our lifestyle and requirements.

It is also important to check the APR rate and other benefits which may come with the card. I may prefer cash back credit cards but I can’t expect everyone to!

This friend went online to compare the various cards available in the market and he told me that he is partial to the Sports Credit Card Low APR. Well, if he has done his homework thoroughly, then go for it.

I personally think that the most credit cards that one person should carry is one or two. Any more and we will start abusing them and land ourselves into hot water.

What, Not Another Blog???

I have a couple of friends, local full time bloggers who have a string of blogs. Honestly, I have even lost count the number of blogs that they have. The previous time I heard that one has more than two dozen blogs and the other has more than a dozen. She is catching up, I tell you!

And the scary thing is that they are not stopping at that! They start new niche blogs every month that I wonder how they could keep up. Frankly, speaking from experience, maintaining more than seven blogs myself, I am so hard pressed for time just to fill them up with content that I no longer have the time to network.

Most of us semi-probloggers are putting in as many hours as we do in our regular work and it is exhausting but I am amazed that these two ladies are still going on with setting up new blogs at full steam.

Even if I have the time to set up new blogs, I would have run out of ideas already. Niche blogs? I have had enough of them right up to my nose. I really take my hat off to them!

Reviews Of Top Ten Online Casinos

I was surfing the internet when I came cross this site, Online Casino Bluebook, which by the way, is NOT an online casino but a website that reviews online casinos and give the top ten casinos on the internet.

Coincidentally, I was looking for a website which allows me to read comprehensive, professional reviews of the most popular online casinos from a single place without me visiting each and every online casino and looking for the information I require.

I wanted to find out which online casino gives the biggest bonus, highest payouts, has the best computer graphics and great customer service. Online Casino Bluebook, which has a website at onlinecasinobluebook.com, has just revised their reviews and already listed the top ten online casinos for November, 2007.

If you are curious to know which are the top ten online casinos reviewed and rated according to the professionals at Online Casino Bluebook, hop over to the site for an informative read.
