Can you believe that my cousin, Jasmine, who went to live and work in London almost ten years ago is still not familiar with the London restaurants? I was discussing with her the kind of food that she could get in London since she has been complaining of missing Malaysian food but she said that she only knows about those that are near her apartment and workplace. How can that be and how will she take me around when I visit her?
I asked a couple of friends who are familiar with London and they told me that Jasmine should check the Hardens online guide to London restaurants. I checked it out myself and noticed that Hardens Restaurant Guide is very comprehensive directory where we can search for London restaurants by location, price or cuisine.
Jasmine had better make full use of this London restaurant online guide first so that she can take me around during my first visit to London. It has been a long time since she left and it would be like old times once again. I can’t wait!
Happy because my EntreCard is finally on JohnChow.com. I think I waited a week for today. Thanks, John! HHmmm I read that some “big shot” blogger cancels ad approvals at the last minute. That looks like something fishy going on and it’s bad to do that to fellow bloggers.
EntreCard has been one of the most effective traffic generators that I have participated in and I am glad I joined early on. I know I need go drop more cards but it’s not convenient when I have two accounts with them and I can only drop the card of one blog per day because of cookies or something. Besides, EntreCard does not work with IE. And I use Maxthon!
Ok, enough about EntreCard already! This is my third post 😀
Happy because I get to show off my new iPhone. People already booked me for a drink 😀 I think I am the only one who owns an iPhone in my cow town. Thanks, Mr. Gary Lee!
Happy because I just sold another NuffNang ad spot on my blog. I need one more weekly campaign to get December filled, albeit for one spot on one blog only. If it works well this month with that level of traffic, I may install more NuffNang ad codes. I moved the widget higher up on my sidebar for the advertisers. I am dying to cash out, man!
My sister, who lives and works in the United States, make international calls home to the family regularly. She has always used calling cards which she buys over the internet. That is smart of her because making long distance call would cost an arm and a leg if not for these discount phone cards!
My sister told me that since her company started to use the Small Business Long distance call services offered by 3longdistance, she also checked out the rates to call Malaysia and was surprised to learn that she could receive 180 free minutes upon signing up.
Based on the comparison chart, 3longdistance offers the lowest rates to call to Malaysian land line or mobile line. Do you know that making a long distance call from the United States to Malaysia is even cheaper than making a call within Malaysia?? Surprising, isn’t it?
I think my sister is lucky to have found this service just in time for that annual Christmas call home to friends and family!
I forgot to mention that in the battle between the Viewty and iPhone, who won in my opinion???
As you can see in my previous post, I did use it for a little while. In fact, I could take home and use as much as I could but after trying my friend’s unit out, I decided not to take it. Unless it was free lah… cheh
If you say form factor, of course the iPhone win hands down. In fact, I think it’s the sleekest phone in the market right now. Features wise, though, the Viewty wins.
But then it’s not practical to have both touch screen phones. Even though my relationship with the E61i is like a bad marriage, I am very comfortable with its QWERTY keypad. I could type out very long text on it. I don’t think I can do that with touch screen.
I know this post has been a long time coming and to all who have been waiting for it, sorry to have kept you waiting! I received my iPhone a week ago exactly on my birthday, courtesy of Mr. Gary Lee, THE internet marketer, who ran a very successful iPhone sweepstakes sometime in July earlier this year.
I actually got to know of the contest from Phil the Contest Blogger and I thought I would not participate because Mr. Gary Lee wanted links to three different websites (a women’s deals site and a golf equipment site) and a link to the contest page. It’s not that I was stingy with my linking but I was lazy to read the requirements.
Also, Mr. Gary Lee said that blogs with PR0 – 3 would only get one entry into the contest and although I had PR3 for all my blogs back then, I only submitted ONE entry. However, after participating in this iPhone giveaway, I entered some other contests that purportedly gave away iPhones as well which unfortunately turned out to be iPhoney!
Long story short, I was lucky enough to be picked as the winner as you can see from this video that Mr. Gary Lee made, together with his business partner, Ms. Danielle. Thanks so much, guys!
When I received my iPhone package, which travelled half the world to me, I actually took a series of photos because this is what people do in an unboxing ritual. I did not do it when I was unboxing my Nokia E61i so I thought this is the chance for me to get pictures but they turned out like crap no thanks to my E61i for failing me!
I S.O.S.-ed my friend to help me with the photos which he did as you can see here. Two people, four devices. The LG KU990 Viewty, Nokia E61, Nokia E61i and the iPhone. Even with a professional photographer with a REAL camera, the photo did not turn out well.
He decided to mount the flash and still I was not happy with it!
Today, I decided to take new photos with an Olympus that is on loan. I don’t know how to operate it yet so once again the photos turned out badly. I don’t even know how to turn on the flash! lol It’s not camera problem this time but user problem! I did ask the owner to teach me to use it first but he told me to R.T.F.M. (Read The F******* Manual). I just want to tell him that I don’t like to read no f******* manual! JUST SHOW IT TO ME!! ……. but I did download it from the web and WILL have to read it later. Bah!
So here’s my post on my win! Yay! Happy! Happy!! Happy!!! And thanks to Mr. Gary Lee once again! This is the bestest [as if there is such a word] birthday present I ever had! Woooeeeeeeeeeee!!!
P/S: Now I know why it took me so long to write this post. It’s like writing an Oscar speech and I had to make sure that I did not leave anyone out. Not forgetting all the links!
Did you know that area rugs make great decorative items for the home or office? I love area rugs because they are inexpensive and come in so many different colors and patterns that it is easy to change them according to my mood or the season.
An online store that that specializes in area rugs that I recently discovered is called Area Rug Outlet. If you are looking for area rugs as well, you should check out this store too. Whether you are in the market for floral area rugs, casual area rugs, animal area rugs or Southwest Area Rugs which you can find by clicking this link, http://www.arearugoutlet.com/southwest-area-rugs.html, Area Rug Outlet will surely have something for every taste.
For people who are on a budget, they will be happy to know that Area Rug Outlet has a section for clearance area rugs. These are sold at an even lower price that the already cheap price that they normally sell their area rugs.
Area rugs are also great as gifts for people who love decorating their homes or offices regularly (me, me, me!!!). Browsing through this website has inspired me to redecorate my rooms for the New Year. I already have in mind a color scheme and design that a couple of rugs here will match perfectly!

We all know how inaccurate Alexa reading is and yet we all want ours to be as low as possible. And the thing is no matter how hard we work on the traffic and see an increment, Alexa seems to continually creep higher and higher! At least that was what I felt like! Maybe in the grand scheme of things, my traffic is not as good as other sites even if it has improved on my blog.
Anyway, I had a shock the other day when I saw that a friend’s blog is showing an Alexa reading of over eight million! Yes, can you believe that??? When I first started my blog, with a new domain name, it was “only” slightly more than two million. With a couple of posts, it soon fell a million points.
But this friend’s blog, which is a free Blogger blog, is showing EIGHT million!!! I thought that once a sub-domain blog is out of a particular range, it will show the reading of the main domain, in this case, Blogger’s Alexa reading, which should be twelve or something.
Previously, when my Alexa reading was rising, I was panicky and thought to myself, “Oh my god, it’s going to fall off the radar!” but now that I have seen a site with EIGHT million, which fell to FIVE million with a new post, I am calmer now! Haha!
