Miami Dolphins Tickets Online

My friend, Andy, who is a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan, says that he is afraid that he would not be able to purchase Miami Dolphins Tickets for their home games.

I laughed at him for his low tech-ness as he said that he would have to queue up at the ticket counter at 3am in the morning so that he would be able to purchase a pair of premium tickets. Obviously, Andy didn’t know that he could purchase his dream tickets for Miami Dolphins home games online from websites like MiamiDolphinsTickets.com

Now he knows and he is so relieved to know he could buy the tickets he wants without all the hassle. But I did remind him that he would still have to book his tickets early lest they are sold out. As you know, these tickets are so popular!

Blog Advertising Programmes

An old classmate of mine, whom I recently reconnected with thanks to Facebook, asked me how I get advertisers to advertise on my blogs. I don’t know how she found out that I make an income from blogging but found out she did and she is thinking of doing the same. Well, she is an architect and I don’t think she needs to waste time on blogs. After all, blogs are like bad girlfriends who need constant attention!

I told her that I have tried many programmes and the one that I would recommend her is Google AdSense. Although I am not using it on my blog, the reason I recommended it to her is that it is a large company with solid track record.

Of course, I didn’t tell her that there have been complaints from publishers who suddenly found their accounts locked when they were close to payment threshold but I did let her know that it is against the terms of the programme to click on her own advertisements or ask friends to do so.

My friend has no definite plans on starting her blogging project yet but I do not relish the thought of starting a new blog from scratch. It is a long and lonely process!

Gmail Temporarily Unavailable

This morning, I accessed my Gmail as I do daily and was a little shocked when I received a note on my screen saying that my Gmail was temporarily unavailable. I hardly ever encounter this before but I cannot say never, though. This time was a little different with the server error code of 500. Even the display page was a little different.

Anyway, even though I do not have anything important in my email, when I couldn’t access my account when I wanted to and it doesn’t work as it should, I get pissed off and then my heart sinks thinking that may be a problem with my account and that my email has been wiped out.

You know, we have so many email stored in various folders, I am sure we wouldn’t even notice anything different if one or two mails went missing until we want certain information and go digging for it in our archived mail.

Luckily, this happened for just a short while and I was able to access my account upon pressing F5. And then I was able to breathe again. LOL

High End Electronic Guns

A group of my friends are really into high end electronic guns. They share their activity photos with me on Facebook and always invite me to join them. I’ve love to but the problem is that they also showed me photos of themselves with patches of blue-black all over their bodies!

Today, I discovered an online store that sells cheap airsoft guns and I know they my friends would be delighted to know about too. As you know, quality stuff don’t come cheap locally so it may be worth it to pay a little for shipping and save on the cost of the items.

Zephyr Airsoft carries brand name high end electronic guns, airsoft and BB guns, gear and equipment at low prices without compromising on quality. My friends would probably be in shopping heaven shopping at Zephyr.

Facebook Fan Check & All My Friends Applications

The Fan Check application on Facebook has caused tremendous concern among all my Facebook buddies over the past couple of days when suddenly, everyone is tagged in one photo or another. On the surface, it is quite a fun application to use as it scans the user’s Facebook profile to see which friends interact the most on the profile by posting on the wall, etc, and ranks these friends accordingly.

Fan Check was at first named Stalker Check but was forced to change its name by Facebook but the following day after the sludge of Fan Check photos on my newsfeed, Facebook apparently announced that it is a virus like Koobface. I don’t know how far true this is because I didn’t get any notification from Facebook. Some of my friends say they did, some, like me, did not.

However, I could say that at first, I thought I would want to use Fan Check to see which “joke” visits my profile the most to post on my wall but since I knew the answer already, I didn’t need an application to tell me. I could say that Fan Check was installed on my Facebook account even though I did not install it myself, merely just checking out the photo that I was tagged. I untagged it after receiving the warning about the virus and deleted Fan Check from my profile.

Even with Fan Check cleared from my newsfeed, I guess Facebook was doing a clean up in the background, along came something eerily similar called All My Friends. I wasn’t tagged in any of these All My Friends photos; I guess my 1000+ friends in Facebook are smarter or more cautious this time around, and you can bet that if I was tagged, this time I would not be clicking on the photo to have a look just to be on the safe side, virus or not!

New Gmail Themes

Forget about Gmail outage a few days ago. You know technology fails us sometimes! I was informed that Gmail was down by a friend via Facebook but I was not that concerned because I wasn’t using it at that time. If I was, that would be a different story and I would be venting already.

Someone asked what happens if Gmail was down and so was Twitter, since so many people utilized Twitter to spread the word about Gmail’s outage and to vent and rant. Well, there’s still Facebook, right?

Anyway, like I said, Gmail is back up already and what does the Gmail team has for us? New Gmail themes, of course! The new themes are called Orcas, Turf and High Score. There’s also one called Random, which is not a theme but it rotates the theme collection that Gmail has so you don’t really know what theme you will be getting when you log in to Gmail, hence the name Random.

While these three themes are new and fresh, I have to say that I am not particularly impressed. I still like Candy the most. I have been using it since the introduction of Gmail themes and I know it is high time I change it but I really do need something better than the current selection of themes!

What about you? What do you think of the new Gmail themes?

10,000 Unique Visitors A Day

A blogger friend achieved the blogging milestone of ten thousand unique visitors a day to her blog. While it may not be a figure to shout about for professional bloggers, it is a cause for celebration for my friend, who is a stay at home mother who only picked up blogging six years ago with a personal blog, like most of us.

With this milestone, come problems with her blog host. It is not that her host could not handle 10,000 visitors. My friend has almost fifty blogs of various sizes to her name so you can imagine the traffic that she garners daily, so much so that her hosts suspended her account temporarily thinking that it was a DOS attack.

My friend is now hunting for a host that could provide her with dedicated hosting at a reasonable rate. Although she does make money from her blogging activities, if you are a blogger too, you would know how erratic blog traffic could be, affecting blog income as well. My friend is looking for affordable dedicated hosting so that she doesn’t have to worry about her hosting bill even if income from her blogs dips a little.

I told her about SingleHop Inc.’s most affordable QuadCore dedicated server package at US$189 per month which come with free setup. She could easily customize and order it online. Hopefully, she could get her hosting issue resolved as soon as possible and hit her second milestone of 20,000 unique visitors a day to her blog!
