Researching On Gold Coin Investing

My father has told me that he wants to start buying gold coins. It’s kind of weird that although my mother has bought some gold coins over the years, he has never shown any interest in it. Now, after hearing from his friends that precious metals are great commodities to invest in, especially gold, he thinks that he should follow suit.

My parents both can operate the computer now, luckily, so I just showed my father the website of United States Gold Bureau to learn how to invest in precious metals. I have no experience in it, anyway, so it’s a good thing that he could learn from the experts and then decide for himself.

Actually, I too have been following the performance of gold in the London Metal Exchange but have so far not found the opportunity to enter the market. Something always comes up and mess up my budget. I think I need to be more financially solid first before I think about investing in precious metal.

Tired of Blogging?

I recently read a bunch of blogs where the bloggers claim that they are tired of blogging already and that if not for the money they are making through their blogs through various means of advertisements, they wouldn’t even bother with their blogs anymore. Some would say that it’s because they have PR5 or something so that means they are making good money.

I personally feel that if they have such sentiments about blogging, then they can’t be writing too well. You know, if a blogger decides to stop blogging, it would be fine with the readers. We accept the fact that sometimes there are other priorities in life that are in the forefront at this juncture of the blogger’s so it’s all right. There are many other blogs out there that are just as interesting to follow.

Although I have a handful of blogs, some that I am keeping totally “clean”, I still continue to blog as I have always done, without feeling bored, without feeling like it’s a burden to blog. I don’t think of it as a chore. If no ideas come to be then so be it. There’s no harm leaving the blog without an update for a few days, even a month. We didn’t sign an agreement that our blog has to be updated daily, right?

Platinum Protection Home Security Remote Access iPhone App

I have been using the Apple iPhone since its first generation days and although back then, all my friends were very envious of me, I have never considered the iPhone as a work tool but more of an entertainment device.

I think part of the reason is that I do not take the trouble to upgrade my OS and also because I don’t spend enough time exploring apps. Even though I only go for free apps, there are still thousands of them available!

I just found out about Platinum Protection iPhone App a home security system that we can access from our iPhone wherever we are connected to the internet, even though we may be traveling overseas.

With this application, I believe I will start using the iPhone more. If you have been following my blog, you will remember that my house was almost broken into three times over the past two years. Platinum Protection home security iPhone app will surely come in handy as I would be able to monitor my house and family members even when away thanks to the many sensors placed around the house.

Although there are other home security systems that offer mobile access, I believe Platinum Protection is the first and only company to come out with an iPhone app and because of the app, it makes home security remote access so simple and easy to use.

Gmail Chronological View Finally

I read that Google has decided to give us chronological view to our Gmail messages, after 6 years of “noise” from Gmail users. Although there are many Gmail account holders, and these are the people who have requested for chronological view instead of the default threaded conversation view, I can say that a lot of us do not like threaded conversation but we continue to use Gmail because of the huge email storage.

I went to check out my Gmail account just now but couldn’t find any way to switch inbox view from threaded conversation to chronological view. I have to say that after such a long time using Gmail, I have not gotten used to it, don’t think I ever will.

I think that Gmail is rolling this feature stage by stage so if you have the ability to change your Gmail inbox view, let me know how you did it and how you like it.

Find Cheap Hosting

My friend, Samm, told me that she has bought new domain names. AGAIN. I thought that she said that she has plans to move some of her blogs to free hosts but I guess the recent domain name sale was too difficult to resist.

Now, she has the problem of hosting her news sites since she already has an idea what to do with them. The problem is that she isn’t prepared to pay too much for hosting since these are new sites and would require time to build before she can generate some revenue from them.

I mentioned to her find my hosting review site where she could easily compare the current top ten web hosting companies in terms of pricing, features and services. In addition, she could also read user reviews of these services and see how well each company’s hosting package rates among other packages from other companies.

By just checking going to FindMyHosting.com, one can easily look for a suitable web hosting package; one that suits our budget and requirements in hosting our personal or business website, blog or eCommerce store.

I like it that this website has separated web hosting companies into various categories so even if you are looking for adult hosting, which by the way, not many web hosts accept, you can look for what you need through Find My Hosting.

Happy 70th Birthday John Lennon Google Doodle

I had a surprise going to Google.com just now. This Google Doodle is to celebrate John Lennon’s 70th birthday. It’s actually not a doodle in the true sense of the word on the home page but a video embedded in place of the doodle. Click “play” and you can see doodles with John Lennon’s Imagine playing in the background.

Google publishes different doodle logos on its homepage to make various occasions throughout the year but this one has got to be one of the best so far. of course, there are still very memorable ones like the Pacman game doodle and also the recent one to mark Flintstone’s 50th anniversary but this one is really a great idea.

Web Hosting Promotional Codes

A friend has asked me if I would like to join him in starting an online business selling luxury watches. I had to turn him down because I couldn’t find time for yet another online business because it simply takes up a lot of time, especially when it is just starting. Running an online store is simply NOT a matter of just clicking here and there.

However, I did give him a few tips on how to set up an eCommerce store and I told him that although there are quite a few companies that offer free eCommerce store hosting, there are many advantages to hosting his own store. For one, there is plenty of flexibility on how he wants his store to be and its direction.

Granted, hosting his own store is more expensive but he could always use a web hosting promotion code for a discount on hosting and he could look for one that suits him the best from a web hosting review website that, besides providing promotional codes for top hosting companies, also provide comprehensive reviews of their services and the features that come with each hosting package.

I know that he will find these reviews useful and the web hosting promotional codes will certainly come in handy.
