Play Station Down For One Week

My friends whose children play Play Station every day and if they can have their way, they would play it non stop because it’s just so addictive, tell me that the kids are screaming that they have not been able to access Play Station Network for the past one week.

Well, this is one time that I am glad I do not have Play Station, not that I have time for games like those on Play Station anyway. Whatever free time I have, I just play on Facebook. Those are pretty addictive too, but not as terrible as Play Station games!

I find that although this down time is bad for the company, it’s a good thing for gamers. At least with this extended break from Play Station, they get to LIVE life away from digital entertainment. Yeah, go out and smell those flowers!

Topamax Side Effects Information

I’ve been trying to look for information on Topamax side effects and birth defects this week since reading about the Topamax lawsuit that has been brought against the drug company because Topamax, which was used to control epileptic seizures and migraine headaches, has been linked to causing cleft lips and cleft palate in babies.

It’s most unfortunate that usually, those people who are affected don’t even know what happened or whom to turn to. They don’t know if there is anything they could do or anyone who could help them. So if you know of anyone who has a baby born with cleft lips or cleft palate after the mother has been put on Topamax, let her know about O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath. They are handling this personal injury case.

List Post Tags On A Page (WordPress)

Today, I suddenly had the idea to list out all my tags used on my WordPress blog posts and put them all in a new Page. On one of my blogs, I have 99 tags and I find that it’s not friendly to my readers to have to access my post first and then only click on a tag.

So I went searching for WordPress plugins to see which could meet my requirements. So this is how I did it.

I first used Tag Dropdown Widget WordPress plugin to list out all my tags. This goes in a sidebar widget, with the option to list out the tags in a full list or drop down menu. I could also choose to have my tags listed by alphabetical order or the most used tag at the top. In addition, I could also set the number or tags shown.

Once Tag Dropdown Widget has been set up, I install another WordPress plugin called Add Widgets To Page. As you probably already know, we cannot put our widgets in a Page so I have to use a plug in to make this work. I’d have to say that although Add Widgets To Page worked for me as I wanted it to, it is not perfect because I cannot undo some of my “mistakes”, though these are all on my backend and hidden from public view.

I couldn’t delete the widget settings that I accidentally created even though there is a delete button. I had to go to my Cpanel, then phpMyAdmin and then WP-Options. Scroll through all the tables and the edit the table associated with Add Widgets To Page.

WordPress plugins used:
1. Tag Dropdown Widget
2. Add Widgets To Page

How To Apply Best Skins Ever iPhone Total Body Skin

When my iPhone total body skin arrived from Best Skins Ever, I was a little afraid that I would spoil my iPhone because we have to wet the skin to apply it. The back of the skin is already like sticker and yet we have to wet it.

Best Skins Ever has very good instructions on how to apply their skins on our digital devices which you can read HERE. In fact, before applying your skin, you MUST read this page first.

I also watched NYChen’s video on applying Best Skins Ever skin on his Sansa e250. Even though it does not really help you in applying your skin because you have to do it yourself, watching the video gives you confidence because it does not look that difficult.

When I was applying my skin on my Apple iPhone, I did it on the screen first, as advised by BSE. The thing that I found difficult is the stickiness that caused my fingerprints to be imprinted at the corners but this is not difficult to take off. Just wet your fingers and rub at the spots that caught your fingerprint.

Another problem I faced was that I tried to squish off excess water trapped between my skin and iPhone like how NYChen did but the skin kept shifting that I just let it be.

After applying the skin on the front, I decided NOT to apply the back skin. This is because with the skin, the iPhone feels different. I know that it is protected and the important part is the screen, although Apple says that it is scratch-proof. I think that if both sides of the iPhone is skinned, the metal and glass feel would feel like plastic already. At least that is my opinion.

I now have two extra iPhone total body skin and a back skin. See, I bought two extra skins just to be sure that I have back up in case I spoilt the skin in my application. Hahaha

Anyway, I think that I prefer skins that use static to stick although they come off easily, especially on the iPhone because it does not have a catch on the sides.

Topamax Side Effects & Lawsuit

While surfing the internet, I have come across, now and then, an anti-convulsant. I didn’t pay much attention to it all these while, until I read about an on-going Topamax lawsuit recently.

Since reading that article, I have been looking for information on Topamax. It’s quite shocking the side effects of the drug. It causes cleft lips or cleft palate in varying degrees of seriousness in babies. I am not sure all babies are affected but the number is significant.

Although I personally do not know of anyone who has been prescribed with Topamax, it’s a good idea to share this information on my blog. Jot down this law firm if you know of any victim who requires legal assistance.

Gmail Suggests Recipients & Eliminates Wrong Recipients

Gmail’s two popular features called “Don’t forget Bob” and “Got the wrong Bob?” have been rolled out to all Gmail accounts and will now be default features in all new Gmail accounts.

What “Don’t forget Bob” and “Got the wrong Bob?” do is to suggest email addresses that we commonly email to, based on the email addresses that we have already typed. This is great for bulk mailing, where we sometimes forget to include some of the recipients that we normally send to as well.

In addition, Gmail will also ask you if you intended to send your email to ABC instead of ABB. By clicking on the suggestion, the ‘wrong’ email address will be replaced with the suggested one. Pretty nifty, if you asked me.

ThinkGeek Coupon Codes

A friend, Mark, told me that his father’s birthday is coming up and he has no idea what to get for him. Well, I would be stumped too if I have to buy a birthday gift for someone who apparently has all the material things that he needs, or at least could afford to buy whatever he fancies. Mark says he faces the same problem every year and even when he thought that he nailed it, his father never seemed impressed. If he was, he never showed it.

I may not know Mark’s dad personally but from what I was told, he has a penchant for consumer electronic devices. I suggested to Mark to get something from ThinkGeek because of the many novelty electronic gifts. Besides, I have this thinkgeek coupon that he could apply on his purchases and save some money. His dad may be rich but he’s still a struggling student.

I spotted a USB Fishquarium which I think would cause Mark’s dad to do a double take. I know he is not easily impressed but he surely would be with a gift like this! Besides, it’s a very practical gift that he could place on his desk because it’s actually a combination of a small aquarium, a desk lamp, desk clock and pencil holder. It’s a good thing it’s inexpensive!
