Did you notice Google’s logo this morning? Well, today is Sunday, 24th August, 2008, and marks the last day of the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

I have to admit that I spent more time checking out, collecting and writing about Google logos during the entire Olympic Games than I spent watching the telecast on TV or the internet. Hehe…

Like I had imagined, on the last day of the Games, all the animals of the Chinese Zodiac would appear on the logo. However, I did not imagine that they would all be Gold medalist, and I definitely think that the Fuwa BeiBei, JingJing, HuanHuan, YingYing and NiNi should be incorporated in this Google logo as well. Don’t you think so?

I miss Google logos for Beijing 2008 already, except for the “tiger”! I wish Google would surprise us with something new EVERYDAY even when there’s no special occasion to commemorate. What do you think?

I was wrong. I guessed that the rooster would be participating in the trampoline in Beijing 2008 Google logo art but as you could see in this screenshot, he is playing baseball. Well, the ball looks like baseball but could anyone see its bat? I can’t.

I am no artist myself and could hardly draw to save my life but I envision that the rooster would look even nicer playing volleyball. Can you just imagine it playing volleyball on the Google logo art?

One thing with playing volleyball is that there is no equipment so there is no missing bat. The rooster could use its wing, or both wings to hit the volleyball. It would be a better sport for it to be in. Don’t you think so?

I am pretty disappointed with Google again this morning. They have the monkey and tiger in a Taekwondo match. The sport is fine but yet again, they did not manage to bring out the majestic characteristics of a tiger. It’s such a great animal and there are so many ways to draw it. They should have made the tiger participate in synchronized diving or something.

By the way, Taekwondo, a form of Korean martial arts has been made an Olympic sport since the Sydney Games in 2000. The Olympics have expanded so rapidly, they even have the trampoline in Beijing 2008. I guess many Chinese boys and girls have mastered the trampoline, that’s why it is introduced in Beijing 2008.

Anyway, I am still waiting for the rooster to be jumping on the trampoline in a future Google logo!
