This Comment Made Me ROTFL

If I thought that the other spam comment was funniest, this one really made me ROTFL. It was left on my post, Keeping Allergens At Bay, three hours after the post was published. Mighty efficient, I must say!

This spammer has actually left me a comment previously but this one is so funny, I just have to make a post for him, sans his link. To understand what his comment is all about, you’ll have to read my post, Keeping Allergens At Bay.

You are so lucky to have time to play with animals and i am so busy that have no time to take care of them. I have seen some lovely pets on [URL deleted]* and really want to buy one of them. It is so wonderful to live with an animal.

The URL that he left, and that I have deleted, is actually of a dating website for black singles. Tell me, is that funny or not? Is he calling the members “lovely pets”?

It still beats me how I am spammed and spammed in context to my post too!

How Vain Are You?

I know of many corporations which have people assigned the task of checking online which blog or website mentions the company. Are they vain or are they so afraid that people write negative things about them that they have to keep checking Technorati or Google daily? Speaking of Technorati, my blog is STILL wrongly ranked! GGGrrrr

There was even someone from a large retail outlet who came to read my post a few times over a period of a month. Maybe they were hoping that I would edit my post, but I did not. However, after reading my post, which was not negatively written, I did discover some changes on their site. I am glad that they took my post positively.

On an individual scale, there are people who keep checking their names online. Yes, I personally know a few of these people. Either they are insecure or they think that they are so famous. But they aren’t really :p

But the scary people are those that keep checking OTHER PEOPLE. I get quite a number of hits from searches and it scares the hell out of me. At least leave me a comment! hehehe

Printing Business Cards

Last weekend, I bought a color printer all-in-one that has marvelous output of color prints so I went online to search for website that allows free business card printing but my friend told me that I am stupid to waste money on the ink as I can get my cards done at a lower cost from websites like 123print.com.

Moreover, I am assured of perfect prints. If I were to print out my own cards, I may encounter print error and hence, it’s a waste of time, money, energy and not forgetting, stationery supplies!

123Print.com has thousands of card templates that I like. I don’t know which to choose! If I were to order my business cards, I would also love to have letterhead, envelopes and address labels. That would be awesome.

MySpace Message

Last year, I wrote a message to a fellow MySpace member and was actually expecting a reply, but I never received an email notification. I am actually not a huge fan of social networking and I only ever join to oblige friends and then log in only to check my messages.

Anyway, I logged into MySpace recently due to a “friend” request and to my horror, saw that my message was actually replied to on the following day! And here I was, waiting and waiting thinking that my message was trashed or something.

Imagine, if that party was also waiting for my reply, how long he would have waited from last October, or was it September, until this April.

To me, it seems kind of rude if people are expecting your reply and you are not responding in a timely manner. I do not know if the non-notification is a MySpace glitch or my own email glitch but it reflects me *sigh*

Impressive InterUrban Development

My friend is an architect who is always interested in new developments. Recently, he has been impressed by an Austin real estate developer, InterUrban Development.

Their most recent Austin Condos project is nothing short of amazing thanks to the panoramic views of the city and the surrounding hills. It is designed clean and green, creatively combining a modern design with contemporary floor plans.

He showed me the website of InterUrban Development with plenty of photos of their development projects and I am in awe with the buildings they created. They are so beautiful that people who own a home by InterUrban Development are sure lucky.

The Born Free Foundation

People who know me know that animal welfare is close to my heart. If I could, I would save the world’s animals from harm.

Today, I came across the Born Free Foundation which is an international wildlife charitable organization. Its work includes stopping the sufferings of individual wild animals and protecting threatened species of wildlife animals.

Born Free Foundation allows many opportunities for us to be involved and in fact, they have two pages on ways that we can help them, either through cash or services.

They have a programme where we can adopt our very own wildlife animal all for GBP24 per year only. Don’t you think that saving a wildlife animal is better than wasting the money on alcohol or cigarettes?
