Comment Deleted

How does it feel like to have your comment on a blog post deleted? When I leave a comment on a blog, which I rarely do, I make it a point to go and check that my comment is approved and published, no matter how busy I am. This is one reason I do not leave comments as often as I would like to. I simply can’t spare the time to double check :-)

Anyway, I recently left a comment on a blog. I don’t know the author personally but I felt compelled to comment as she has achieved something so Congratulations was in order.

Unfortunately, I make a typing mistake, so I left a second comment, asking her to edit my typo and to only publish the first comment, and not the second.

While waiting for moderation, she did correct my typing error but after sometime, my comment was totally left out from her blog. I wonder why??

I can understand it if she has overlooked my comment as spam. Heck, I myself nearly deleted some legitimate comments but there was no way that mine could be overlooked when she DID edit my typo in the first place.

Naturally, I was pissed and since then, stopped visiting her blog.

Jean-Claude Animation Series – 2nd Episode, Barbarossa

Since my blog post introducing Jean-Claude, the Animated Tiger in early May, I have friends asking me when wll the second installment of the Life According To Jean-Claude mini series be released. Well, I have good news now. The second episode is called Barbarossa.

Jean-Claude is clueless about Barbarossa, not know why the battle happened or where. However, what he does know that to win a battle, the fighter has to be persistent. That’s how he wins his backgammon games too. He is, afterall, the number one backgammon game player on BackgammonMasters.com. Jean-Claude knows that each time they play backgammon, he has the key to winning the game because he has mastered the strategies and philosophies of backgammon.

If you do not already know, Jean-Claude if the animated tiger mascot of BackgammonMasters. Perhaps that is why he is winning all the backgammon games! Sources say that BackgammonMasters will be releasing Blackjack somet time this month. Watch out! Jean-Claude may soon master the game of Blackjack as well!

BackgammonMasters is the premier online casino game provider with its all-in-one software. Just download and install ONCE and you will be able to play all games available on one website, in one platform and only one game lobby. This is where BackgammonMasters has won over its competition.

Trojan Crippled My Computer

Since owning a personal computer, I have had my fair share of computer viruses, trojans, malwares, spywares and what-nots.

If you remember, barely two weeks ago, I was having problems with my hanging computer but I just had it formatted at the end of April, 2007. Anyway, a couple of days ago, my computer could not connect to the internet. I mean, my network shows connected but the speed was so slow, none of my messengers were able to connect neither were the web pages loading.

I figured that the problem could not lie in my cable, network card, modem, hub or even internet line since I did have another computer connected without problems and if it was hardware, surely the failure would have been total? But here my computer was connected BUT not connected, if you know what I mean.

I called up my computer technician who advised me to run my anti-virus program, clear my virus vault, defrag my hard disk and restart my computer but the problem persisted after two hours.

I gave up! Sent the computer to the shop where the technician told me that I need a format And I was like, “AGAIN?” But as if I had a choice! *sigh*

Well, now my computer is in good health once again. What I suspect is that the first shop that formatted my computer last month did not protect my computer with an anti-virus program before going online to search for driver updates despite my reminder. I remember that soon after taking my computer home, my anti-virus program already gave me trojan alerts but I did not think too much of them.

My friend told me to demand a refund, but I don’t have proof! He taught me to bang their tables, raise my voice, threaten harm to them and shit in their office! Hahahah as if that will work :-p

BackgammonMasters Expands To Central America

I have good news for all backgammon players in Latin America. BackgammonMasters.com, the leading online casino game company is expanding its market to Latin America.

Did you know that BackgammonMasters.com is the first and only company that came out with the online version of the ever popular Spanish dice game called Perudo? Due to is popularity and the phenomenon that is Jean Claude the animated tiger, which garnered viewers from across the world, backgammon players or not, including viewers from Latin America, BackgammonMasters.com sees it fit to open an office in Latin America to better cater to the people there.

BackgammonMasters is in a class of it own thanks to their innovative all-in-one software game concept where backgammon game players only need to download it once. From there, players can enter a game lobby and select to play backgammon or any other game.

The good thing about games from BackgammonMasters is that there are all developed in multi player mode as part of their community concept. Moreover, to serve the Latin markets better, BackgammonMasters will be releasing the more popular games specifically for Latin America.

The backgammon software is exceptionally realistic and user-friendly in a fully supported playing environment. When you have experienced it first hand, you will appreciate the effort that BackgammonMasters have put into developing the software and games.

Technorati – Is It A Coincidence?

If you have read my blogs diligently, you will know that I have issues with my Technorati ranking since ages ago until I decided that I should do something about them and so sent in a Support ticket to Technorati in early February this year.

So the tickets were not answered to and I did follow up with them, which I also did not get any reply nor were the issues resolved. Anyway, I posted in the forums and there were problems over there as well. I gave up because I do not want to be like a pest and anyway, wrong Technorati ranking is not a matter of life and death.

I don’t know if it is a coincidence or whatever. Six hours after I blogged on a Podcast Interview with David Sifry, CEO of Technorati, I received a reply from Technorati’s Customer Support Specialist informing me that they have sent spiders to my blogs and that they should be indexed by now.

Phew, I’m so relieved that the issues are resolved at last. I guess it is true that if you want something done, you have to get to the top hehehe!

Impressed With Asheville

My friend, Paul, came to me all excited about his visit to Asheville where the managed to pack in a whole weekend of visiting some of the best Asheville Real Estate. Paul was looking for high quality living closer to nature since he has gotten used to seeing wild animals roam his back yard in his home in New York.

Paul told me that Asheville is an ideal place for him as it is located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Moreover, downtown Asheville is really happening and culturally rich in the arts.

During his weekend stay in Asheville, Paul was most impressed with the city and the warm and friendly people, unlike those in New York where nobody has the time to even spare a greeting.

CopyCats Abound

The other day, I was angry to discover that someone copied my sponsored review and submitted it as her own. Well, I reported her and put it down to bad luck since this copycat Google searched blogs for the specific keyword and found my post.

Today, with some free time on my hands and the chance to finally blog hop, I came across bloggers saying that so-and-so has wholesale copied their posts including tags, memes and sponsored posts.

I have been blogging for a long time now but have not heard of this blogger before. Maybe because I am not the kind to 8 here, 8 there. Anyway, while I was mad that my post was copied, I believe the victims of the local blogosphere felt many more times worse than I did because they considered her one of their kind. Imagine getting back stabbed like that.

This is also one reason why I usually keep to myself. I have had many of my ideas copied before and these copycats with blogs more popular than mine had people commenting on their blogs as if the idea came straight from them. Bah!

Just because my blog is relatively unknown doesn’t mean that I can’t write good posts. And just because popular bloggers publish a certain post does not mean that it is 100% original and gospel.
