Political Tsunami In Penang Led By DAP

With one voice, one heart and one vote, Penang folks have shown the world the definition of the “People’s Power”. Many people have sensed a political change in the air in recent times and it is not surprising when there are so many factors that cause unhappiness and dissatisfaction among the Rakyat.

While there were fractions who disagreed that Dr. Koh did not name his successor as Chief Minister of Penang, in retrospect, his safe play has been a blessing to the person that he would have named. Who would want to be told that he [or she] would be the new Chief Minister in the new State Government only to see the awful performance of the party in this 12th General Election?

I think this win in Penang by DAP along with PKR and PAS is loud enough to the Barisan Nasional Coalition to buck up. Voters are now more politically aware, more politically mature. They know, as seen in this example in Penang, that they DO have a say in who stays and who leaves.

And, they do not have to make noises in kopishops but to exercise their fundamental right as a citizen to vote. Like I said, vote wisely as every vote counts.

BackGammon Masters Now Supports Bulgarian

Months ago, I wrote a post about BackGammon Masters and their ability to support so many languages. Guess what? I just received the news that they now can also support Bulgarian. The beauty of this is that players on BackGammon Masters can come from any part of the world and yet log into their all-in-one account and switch to their preferred language by just clicking on the small country flag icon on the site.

Right now, Customer Support in English only but they will be adding support for more languages so that backgammon players can easily reach out for assistance if required, in their native language.

The other day, I read in a blog that it is against the terms and conditions to use Ad block beautifier that many people are currently using on their blogs next to these ads. Most of these people use images of sexy women or other misleading images to lure people to click on these adverts.

I told a friend about this who is using this plug-in, and has been using it since he started his blog, though he is not using images of sexy ladies, but he said that he has not faced any problems with using this.

I don’t know about him, if he wants to continue using it even though he knows that he has violated the terms and conditions and then end up being banned, don’t come crying to me 😀 Actually, he is not the only one who violated the ToS of this company. This company has so many hoops to jump through that many people have unknowingly violated them. That’s why I pulled them down from my blogs. Blekkk!

Premium WordPress Theme Club

Did I already mention that I registered myself with a premium WordPress theme club? Normally, registration fee is US$5 per year but I received my membership for free thanks to being in the right place at the right time.

And although I already have all the WordPress themes for my blogs but am on the other hand, looking for Blogger themes, I figured that since it is free, there’s no harm joining. I just have tor remember to unsubscribe before the year is up because I have no intention of paying for something that I could get for free, though they are not the same.

However, with ten self-hosted blogs powered by WordPress, I guess using normal WordPress themes is no longer enough. I now need premium WordPress themes but I will never willingly pay for them. Free, please?

This premium WordPress theme club promises that each member will have access to more than twelve premium WordPress themes and support during the twelve months of membership.

Although right now there is no theme that I want to use out of the four available for download, I am eagerly awaiting to see what themes will be released later. I am not sure if I will want to change my themes so soon again, though!

I was surfing the internet when I was told of a Armand Rousso Philately article. As a stamp collector myself, albeit not a serious one, I have always been fascinated with collecting stamps from around the world.

My mother, who used to work as a postal clerk where selling stamps was her work, started collecting stamps as a hobby and passed her stamp collection to me later on.

If you have ever wondered what are the benefits of collecting stamps and what you can get out of your collection then you have to read this article by Armand Rousso. He wrote a comprehensive article with reasons why young children, adults and even the elderly can achieve from stamp collecting.

Ground Report On The Penang Election Rally

If you have been following a couple of blogs, you would know that there was a “climax” election rally in Penang earlier this evening. I received a text message just now from a friend who told me that close to a HUNDRED THOUSAND people turned up to hear Uncle Kit, his son Lim Guan Eng, and many other people from the Opposition front.

Can you imagine a hundred thousand people wearing red showing their support for DAP? Another person reported to me that there were fifty thousand people at the Penang Ceramah. Who is more accurate, I really cannot tell.

But the numbers are really not that important. The question is, will these people convert their support in the form of votes for DAP candidates and the Opposition in general?

This is really hard to tell. Penang has betrayed Uncle Kit once before. This time, is their support REAL or are they just there for the carnival atmosphere and just to listen to what these politician-celebrities have to say?

Time will tell.
