WordPress Designer Premium Theme Club Continues

A while back, I joined the premium WordPress theme club by WP Designer. After releasing four premium themes, the future of the club was a large question mark when the founder and designer decided that he needed something else in his life besides sitting in front of the computer. Boy, I need to make such a decision as well but it’s not going to be easy walking away from this kind of work. SALUTE!

Anyway, the club has found a new owner and I believe this person also knows something about creating premium WordPress themes as well or maybe he is going to hire someone to take on the task of coming out with at least one premium WordPress theme every month for 12 months.

Actually, the club fees is only US$5 per year which is already very cheap but the point of the club is to allow more people the chance to use premium WordPress themes for a low cost and I appreciate the idea behind it. Thankfully it will continue.

Buy & Sell Text Links The Hassle Free Way

Let’s admit it. The internet is a really competitive world. I started a few blogs and have been trying to build traffic while I publish quality content every couple of days. Improving link popularity is really a slow process but being impatient, I thought I’d speed things up a little.

A few months ago, I was reading the Digital Point forum and there was an limited time offer by TNX.net giving away 5,000 free links from quality websites to new members to try out their system. Of course I jumped at the chance.

I did a search on the web regarding TNX.net because I have not heard about it prior to reading Digital Point forum and it looks like this company is fast gaining popularity and membership. To date, there are already more than fifty thousand members with 23871636 links in the system.

Buying text links

Linking to your deep pages

Granted, the fear of being penalized by certain search engines for buying and/or selling links is very real BUT the key of doing it is to make your linking as natural looking as possible. From what I have learnt during my research lately to try to improve my new blogs, we need to build backlinks not only to our landing page but also, and particularly, to our deep pages.

Variety is the KEY

Another tip to note is variety in keywords. Just imagine, you would surely be giving the search engines an alarm if you suddenly had ten thousand sites [yes, TNX.net sells links so cheaply it is possible to acquire that many links with just ONE campaign!] linking to you with the SAME keyword within a couple of days. That is certainly not natural!

To aid buyers of text links in looking for natural keywords or key phrases, TNX.net created a Link Generator where we can use to generate highly competitive keywords or phrases relevant to our site.

Don’t look at page rank ONLY

Spread out your purchase to include sites that start from page rank 0 and above. Wouldn’t it be strange if ALL your newly acquired links are from sites with Page Rank 5 or 6 only?

The more important aspect, instead of looking at Page Rank, would be to look for relevancy of the site that links to you. Also, do not over look sites that are in a different language than your own.

Selling text links

As a webmaster who is continuously looking to monetize my blogs further, I did contemplate selling text links. Right now, I have not been that successful because of my Page Rank.

However, like I mentioned earlier, TNX.net also helps promote blogs and sites with PR0 so let’s hope that I get a little luck over here. By the way, TNX.net pays via PayPal. I say, the more avenues for us webmasters to earn, the better. SIGN UP with TNX.net and sell your text links on a per page basis. It gives you the potential to earn ten times more than other marketplaces that make you sell site wide links.

Oh yes, before I forget, TNX.net also has an affiliate program where webmasters can earn residual income!

WordPress 2.5

Did you read about the upcoming release of WordPress version 2.5? It is said that this is not an upgrade of the current version but was built from scratch with what we are familiar with right now plus plenty of improved features.

I tell you, although I may only have ten blogs that are powered by WordPress, I am shaking already. I am really afraid of all the extra work just maintaining the blogs. I wish the developers will just release a “final” version with all the updated security patches once a year. That would save us WordPress bloggers a lot of time!

I read that the new WordPress 2.5 allows us to change the colour of our dashboard. Although I don’t like the current shades of blue on our dashboard, really, the colour is the least of my concerns. All I want from WordPress is the ease of publishing my posts. That’s all.

Silicone Gel or Saline Breasts Implants

I was surfing the internet when I came across the website of a plastic surgeon. I still find it odd that professionals here in Malaysia are not allowed to advertise their services like those in the West could!

Anyway, I was reminded of Nicola McLean who had breast implants and said that she will be back to show off her new breasts. Is she back on Page 3 of the Daily Star yet?

After reading the information on the website, I wonder if Nicola McLean has had silicone gel or saline breast implants. Can anyone fill me in? Sorry for the pun! LOL

Did you know, I read that the patient and her surgeon could choose whatever breast shape and size they like? I thought that we could only choose the size. Now I know better. Hehe!

My Broken Theme

A couple of days ago, I read in a blog that we have to host our own images when we download a theme from the author’s site. I think that with WordPress themes, we do not have such a problem as we would be uploading all images to our server but the same cannot be said for Blogger themes.

Anyway, this blogger said that we have to host our own images, particularly got Blogger blog themes since the author’s site can go down, could be removed or the author could have accidentally deleted the images.

After reading that post, I made a mental note that I shall get this done since I remember that I do have an image that still is hosted by the theme author. It’s just a tiny little image in the shape of a heart, by the way.

Well, little did I know that my procrastination would lead me to lose my little image. The server of the theme author seems to have gone down for a long time now. I discovered it this morning when I accessed my blog. The theme is broken now all thanks to my laziness to get the image and host it myself :(

I hope that this is just a temporary glitch and when it is back online, you can bet that I will save that image and upload it to my own server!

The Revolutionary AeroGardenâ„¢

Recently, I have been thinking the kind of gift to get to my fellow blogger friend. This lady is a very popular food blogger who loves to cook her own food and feature them on her blog. I thought I would get her something that is food related. I couldn’t come up with anything appropriate despite surfing the internet for a couple of days just looking for the perfect gift.

Coincidentally, I was told of AeroGardenâ„¢ which is a one of a kind kitchen appliance. I have never seen this before and I believe my friend has not either. I love cooking myself and if I had the AeroGardenâ„¢, it would be like having the farmers market in my kitchen! No longer do I have to worry about not knowing how to plant or forget to water my plants due to my busy schedule. Did you know that the AeroGardenâ„¢ is automated so you practically don’t have to do anything but watch the plants grow!

Just check out these images. I believe these would make the perfect gift for my friend or for anyone who loves cooking!

I simply love the fact that this AeroGardenâ„¢, that is being sold at US$149.95 comes with a choice of salad greens seed kit or gourmet herb seed kit so that we can start growing our garden in the kitchen right away!

12-hours of Non-Traffic

I guess I should not complain about my server going down on me again a couple of days ago but going down for twelve hours was really too long. My Real Rank koyak again and it’s kind of funny to see how my numbers fluctuate depending on how my server holds up.

A very simple solution would be to change servers but how does one do that? How long will it take to get my blog online once again. How many hours will my blogs be DOWN?

Some of my friends are hosting their blogs on virtual private servers and it’s not cheap and yet I still hear them say that their server goes down, just that it doesn’t go down as often as mine!

Sometimes I wonder if I should just let go of my free hosting and move to a more professional webhost to alleviate the stress that I experience each time my blog goes down. But then I have learnt to take things easier now. As long as my blogs are online once again, I am safe!
