Are You On The Market For Anything?

If you are, perhaps you should check out Discount-Search.com. I just discovered this site myself but I wish I had known about it earlier when I was shopping for a laptop. I spent a considerable amount of time going through various websites, using the search engines and then comparing prices from the different online retailers that popped up on the search results.

By shopping through Discount-Search.com, you basically just narrow down your search by clicking on the appropriate category and a list of merchants who are offering products at competitive prices are featured. With a handful of merchants and online retailers to browse through instead of going down the list of merchants in search results, it will save you time, and of course, money! This is what all we hardcore online shoppers want, don’t you agree?

Survey Profiling

Recently, I logged into a Survey website that I have been a member of for a long while but have totally forgot about it. In fact, I even tried to register myself but found out soon that the email address that I used has already been registered. Thankfully I used the same email address or I would end up with two accounts with them.

Anyway, since I was there, I decided to update my survey profiles. The reason that I forgot about registering with them a few years ago was because I never received even a single survey from them and yet I hear about people earning good side income from them.

The funny thing about this site, supposedly a market leader, was that despite putting Malaysia as my country of residence, I still have to fill up my profile with questions like this:

Q: Which is your mobile provider?
A: AT & T, Cingular, Verizon, etc…

instead of: Maxis, Celcom, DiGi

Well, this is just an example and almost every other question in the survey profiling was based on lifestyle in the United States. I mean, come on, they are supposed to be open to worldwide residents and they should have set the profiling based on where we are from, don’t you think so? No wonder I never received any survey at all. Bah!

Coming Clean

Kicking a bad habit could be bad enough but when it comes to kicking an abuse, be it alcohol, nicotine or drug abuse, it could proof to be a huge challenge that many people could not handle.

However, for some people, a mere change of environment would do wonders. Maybe by going to another place to seek drug abuse treatment, he or she is staying away from the usual crowd, a crowd that may also be involved in drugs.

For other people, they need the best drug treatment center in a new city AND personal attention from coaches and trainers. Well, for people like these, perhaps they should check out DrugTreatmentCenterNewYork.com, a luxurious drug treatment center in Malibu, California.

If you check out the pictures on the website, you will notice how breathtaking the environment is. Imagine curing yourself from the nasty drug abuse overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The serene environment will help you put life into perspective and help you to turn over a new leaf. You would wonder why you put yourself through drug abuse when the world is so beautiful out there waiting for you to explore.

But it’s not too late if you are willing to kick the bad habit. Many people have told me that it is easier said than done about kicking a drug habit and that once you have it; it’s like your lifetime companion but it’s not true. Really, when there’s a will, there’s a way.

Post Exchange Programme

What do you think of the beta Post Exchange Programme that is being tried by one paid blogging marketplace? I have not done a single one and do not plan on doing any. That place is dead for me since my ranks fell to a big fat zero. But that’s not the point. The thing is, I am not so sure of having my blogs linked to from a majority of blogs that are on the same situation as mine: sandboxed.

Also, judging from the quality of posts on the forum, I am not that keen to have exchange posts written in a not-so-hot command of the English language. Besides, those blogs which still have a decent Page Rank will not be participating in this post exchange programme. Well, at least from what I read!

What about your opinion? Will you be joining the programme or do you plan to join it in the near future?

Average Post Count Per Week

Do you know what your average post count per week is? Well, I never knew it until yesterday! While there have been days that I post actively, there were also days that I have not posted even one post at all. It all depends on my “mood”, you see!

OK, so I thought that my average per day is 6 posts based on the total number of posts per month but it’s not true. My weekly average for this blog is slightly more than thirty posts per week.

This figure is based on Google RSS Reader where I am subscribed to my own RSS Feed and there’s a button for you to click to view details of the blog like the number of RSS subscribers and the number of weekly posts this blog publishes on average.

Well, it would be better if there were 30+ new RSS subscribers per week but who would like to be bombarded with so many posts in their RSS reader or RSS email subscription? 😀

Streamyx Too Slow For You?

The other day, my friend told me that Streamyx is getting too slow for her already. She has a back up Maxis broadband and DiGi’s EDGE subscriptions but these do not have a goods signal where she lives. I can totally sympathize with her because when broadband is crawling, you wonder why Dial Up internet access seemed faster.

Since January, we have heard reports that the Cisco cable modem is aiming to support data rates over 100Mbps. Wow, that is really fast and for people like my friend and I who have been having intermittent internet connection problems, the Cisco cable modem sounds like it will be able to solve our problems.

My question now is, is there an internet service provider who could offer this kind of data rates at an affordable price? Please don’t make us pay through our noses!

Choosing Relevant Keywords First

I read that while content is Queen [networking is King], when it comes to garnering organic traffic, we have to choose our keywords carefully. Now, I am not talking about keyword stuffing like some of my blogger friends are doing, but just use relevant keywords as many times as possible in a fairly long post.

When I first started blogging, I write whatever I like but now, after slightly more than two years, I do spend a little time thinking what keywords to use first before composing my post. Of course there should be variety and in this aspect, having a good command of the language helps! Heh… I am working on this 😀

Depending on the niche of your blog, it also helps if to check the top search terms of the day and try to use them in your posts. So far, I have not gone to such lengths because I would rather hit the jackpot by luck and not through research!

But still, if writing about Edison Chen, the keywords to use would be Canada, Hong Kong, entertainment, singer, actor and actress, the titles of his movies and albums and the names of the actresses involved in the sex scandal. This is just an example LOL
