My traffic has recently fallen rather drastically. I put it down to my laziness to network. Well, that is my problem from the beginning but lately, that has coupled with my laziness to blog. Yeah, as you can see, I have not been updating my blogs as diligently as I used to. I would say that I was demotivated for a little while and then real life got in the way too.

I have heard that some people have received tremendous traffic from Twitter but I did not register because there’s nothing interesting enough in my life to share like that so I thought that I would rather not send more junk out to the web that I already am.

But just now, I received a free copy of an eBook and video file called Twitter It that supposedly teach us how to take advantage of the ready traffic from Twitter.

I have yet to read the instructions or even watched the video but the good thing is that I could slap y name to the product and sell it for a profit. So I’d probably try it out to see if it works as good as it claims.

As a blogger with a slew of blogs to run, networking is almost always at the last of priority my list. I know it’s bad but I have a tough time just publishing original content on all the blogs on a regular basis let alone go around blog hopping and networking.

Today, I was told of Blogoria, a Blogger Search and Networking resource site which brings together bloggers, blog readers and advertisers. This is the kind of site that people like me should join.

Blogoria is a member site so you have to register in order to use it and if you are a blogger, you get to register your blog and ping Blogoria with your new blog posts. Yes, Blogoria serves as a blog aggregator as well.

By joining Blogoria, you will be able to drive more traffic to your blogs, effectively increasing comments and at the same time participate in their forums where you can socialize with other Blogorians, learn blogging tips and tricks as well as discover effective ways to further monetize your blog(s).

Kira Is Back, This Time With Sex Photos of Jolin Tsai

As promised, Kira came back online in late April, 2008 to leak new sex photos of Edison Chen, this time they are of photos of Edison Chen with popular Taiwanese singer, Jolin Tsai. You may probably know her as Jolin Cai as well. They are one and the same, though.

Their photos are now all over the internet and you can’t help but wonder how many more photos of Edison Chen and female Hong Kong or Taiwanese celebrities are Kira holding, waiting for just the right time to bomb the web.

While Edison Chen has claimed copyright of these leaked homemade sex photos, for want of a better word instead of just “PORN”, he can copyright all he wants and there would still be people publishing and reproducing them on their blogs, websites and forums. Just because!

The search for Edison Chen’s sex photos by internet users never stopped since the first of these photos were leaked in late January, 2008 and right now, with fresh photos making the rounds, internet users are once again having a filed day online.

Finding A Suitable Credit Card

My college-going cousin will be leaving the nest to continue with his tertiary education in the capital city this June. My aunt, his mother, suggested that he apply for a credit card but wonders what is the best way to get a credit card and which card is the most suitable for him. She was rather worried that he would be alone in the city without much cash so a credit card would come in handy. At the same time, she was not certain that he could control his spending. She can’t afford it should he overspend!

She consulted me and really, I am in no position to help since I am not the one settling his credit card bills but I did inform her where to read the best credit card articles on the web. Actually, there are so many kinds of credit cards, there’s no way I could tell her about them one by one so the best is for her to read these articles herself.

I believe that after reading through the articles and understanding the usage of credit cards and how suitable they are for a college student, she would be able to better decide which one is the best to apply for her son. My hope is that no matter which card he gets, he will be a responsible credit card owner.

Doctors Go High Tech

How many times have we the impression that doctors are not keeping up with technology. Last year, I mentioned before that my doctor wanted to set up a website but he does not know how and do not have the time to learn. He told me that after work, what he usually does is to pore over medical journals, research on cases on the web and video conference with doctors overseas.

Now, thanks to new software from Epocrates, doctors are able to check up drug information right from their PDA or mobile device. To keep up with the times, this software from Epocrates is also able to support the iPhone.

I am sure many of us already know about the comprehensive drug reference guide from Epocrates. By allowing doctors to access it easily through mobile CME via their electronic devices, doctors could obtain vital information on the go. This also means that doctors can narrow their margin of error in regards to side effects and reaction between two or more drugs.

Important Changes on Exabytes’ Policies

I received an email notice from Exabytes about their important policy changes that will be in effect from 1st May, 2008. By the way, I think ALL policy changes are important. Is it not so?

Anyway, I am no longer a customer of Exabytes, have not been for a year or so, if not mistaken, but they still continue to send me email updates and a greeting card through the mail. Once, they even billed me! That’s awful business blunder, me thinks.

From the important policy changes, I think the really important point to note is that they no longer allow email hosted with them to be forwarded to free email accounts or online groups.

I used to use this feature of theirs but no longer. I tell you, setting it up was such a hassle, I think I wrote more than ten emails to them. Why can’t they make it simpler? I’m glad they have decided to do away with it!

New Alexa Methodology

I am not sure if you read about Alexa’s new methodology, or if anyone even cares about Alexa anymore LOL but then since they changed the way they track traffic to our blogs and not depend entirely on which browser is installed with the Alexa toolbar and which isn’t, I have seen a vast improvement in the Alexa readings of most of my blogs.

For some blogs, I see a reduction of a few hundred thousand! I hope they stay that way. I know they make no difference anywhere anymore whether they are high or low because many advertisers and marketplaces do not care about our Alexa readings but it makes me feel good seeing the low numbers.

How ever the new Alexa methodology works and how it affects our blogs and websites [ I did read the technical details but I did not GET IT], I don’t care as long as I do not have awfully high readings!
