Raja Petra [RPK] Jailed

Today, Raja Petra failed to post his bail of RM5000 and has now been taken to jail. I learned that his fans, supporters and readers donated a total of RM24K and USD3.2K via PayPal… and yet he did not use the money to pay. We wonder why.

I told my friend, that RPK, by being a hero like this and trying to be a political martyr is being very selfish to his family. Does anyone agree with me, or do you all also think that country comes first?

On the other hand, perhaps we need more people like RPK. Politics are high stakes games and not everyone could afford or are willing to play

Value For Money Used Car Parts

My friend, Soo, is one of those guys whom you can find in his garage every Sunday! I know there’s nothing wrong with that but I can’t help teasing him especially when his girlfriend complains that she only has second place over his rise. 😀

I think he would find midwest auto recycling useful when I tell him that this company deals in used car engines and transmissions and that he would be able to get his money’s worth if he used car engines and transmissions are what he is looking for.

I say that buyers would be getting a good deal from Midwest Auto Recycling because this company takes great pains to make sure that the car engines and transmissions are in tip top condition before reselling them.

Raja Petra To be Charged For Sedition Tomorrow

I read on Blig Blogging that Raja Petra, or lovingly known by his millions of loyal readers as RPK will be charged in the Magistrates Court tomorrow for sedition.

This is a totally serious charge and with the Malaysian judiciary system in tatters, I wonder what the outcome will be. Being charged for sedition, perhaps, is better compared to getting ISA-ed…. there is NO trial at all for ISA detainees.

Aiya… that’s why, when you are a blogger, especially a political blogger, you can’t write anything that could implicate yourself. Even for ordinary low key bloggers like myself, we get strange visits from people from the Government and police. They DO prowl the cyberspace, you know?
This looks like a major set back for the fight for media freedom and freedom of thought and expression in Malaysia.

Earning As A Web Content and Article Writer

I was discussing with a friend on ways to expand our blogging portfolio and I wondered aloud if I should set up more blogs. Well, a blogger friend of mine has more than a hundred blogs and I do not wish to end up like her! On the other hand, I do want to achieve her income level just from web publishing.

Today, I was told of this professional writing service that a company offers to their clients who require compelling articles for their websites that will engage the interests of readers. Of course, the ultimate aim of these well-written articles is to make these readers BUY whatever products that these websites are selling.

Now that I know of such writing service, I think that being a Web Content and Article Writer is another great way for bloggers to earn. I think that we bloggers can write about anything at all, and make then an interesting read!

Microsoft Withdraws Yahoo! Bid

Earlier today, Microsoft finally gave up on its bid for Yahoo! Microsoft felt that Yahoo! was demanding too much, for at least US$37 per share, when it was only ready to bid at $31 per share when the offer was first made in January, 2008. FYI, Yahoo! shares closed at $28.67 on Friday, the last trading session.

Apparently, now that the deal has been called off, both parties are relieved that they can now “move on”. Yahoo! has big plans, maybe in collaboration with Goog, that was why top executives and shareholders felt that they were undervalued by Microsoft.

On the other hand, Microsoft felt that Yahoo! was asking too much, BUT with or without Yahoo!, Microsoft will continue to proceed and expand their web advertising strategies.

Of course, as a web publisher, I welcome more competitive web advertising services. It’s time to break the stranglehold of certain web companies, don’t you think so too?

Do You Believe In Astrology?

I don’t know about you but I do read articles on astrology when I have the time. Well, some people think that Astrology is a frivolous subject, some take it too seriously. To me, I read it for fun to see how accurate it is.

Just now, I was shown a webpage that talks about Free Will Astrology. If you would like to know more about astrology, check out this page.

It is too bad that I don’t really have the time to read up more on Astrology, which I have been interested in since I was young. The funny thing is that when I was young, I did not have access to the internet and now that I have internet access where I can read about Astrology as much as I wanted to, I just can’t find the time!

Geeeeeee That Privacy Policy!

I was so pissed off today because I spent the WHOLE DAY trying to put up my Privacy Policy on all my blogs that has AdSense.

I auto-generated the policy at a website, which I have forgotten the URL, and then I did it in an image form, since this is auto-generated so I had to avoid “duplicated content” with other users of this Privacy Policy auto-generator.

Well, at first, the problem was the sequence of the paragraphs, then it was something I missed out, then it was this and that, and all these caused me to upload and download my images to my different servers. Man, I was ready to puke but I tried to be calm.

In the end, after a long dunno-how-many hours, I managed to put up a proper Privacy Policy on ALL my blogs that are implemented with AdSense. Bah… I tell you, I hate these changes of policies. These things cause me to be distratced from my real work.
