Missing Posts??

I have been happily upgrading my WordPress blogs from version 2.3.0 to version 2.5.0… well, I would not say HAPPILY but grumbling all the way, because of the frequency they update the platform and it could get tiresome because of the many WordPress powered blogs that I have. Anyway, I should say I was doing my upgrade work without worrying until NOW.

I just read that a lady blogger discovered that there were posts missing from her blog after upgrading her WordPress. To be honest, IF there were any missing posts, i would not have known about it. do back up my files but I surely have no idea how I could dig out that specific missing post if the need arises, if I do discover that posts got eaten up in the process of upgrading!

Eyerrrr I hope that never happens because I would hate to bother my host for something like this because he would not understand how important each and every post that I wrote and publish is to me. I am thankful enough that he taught me so many things and made me to be self-reliant when it comes to maintaining the technical aspects of my blogs.

Luxurious ViaLuxe

On this blog alone, I have written on quite a few websites of luxury timepieces and jewelry watches. Well, that’s because each time I have to buy a gift, I think of watches. I don’t know why. It just seems like the most appropriate gift no matter the occasion!

ViaLuxe is an excellent website if you are looking for news, press releases and updates of Baume & Mercier or chopard watches or any other luxury brand name watches and jewelry makers.

From the homepage, you can just browse through all the different brands or by styles. I remember that when a friend asked me if I had heard of Vacheron Constantin, I had to read up on the company here before I could have a meaningful conversation with him!

If luxury watches and timepieces are your passion then ViaLuxe should be on your bookmarks because they update the website and blog pretty regularly so you shouldn’t miss the latest news in the industry! I may not be buying any luxury watch or jewelry in the near future but I definitely like to take time off admiring beautiful craftsmanship and there’s plenty of luxury watches that you can admire here on ViaLuxe or read reviews of them on the ViaLuxe blog.

Did you read about how computer virus makers took the occasion of Jenna Bush’s wedding as an opportunity to spread virus?

These people have been leaving links to Jenna Bush wedding videos to bait unsuspecting computer users to click on the links hoping to watch exclusive Jenna Bush wedding video only to encounter a thousand and one pop up windows.

These victims will also be told that they have malicious spyware, malware, Trojans and what not in their computer now and that they can clean up their system by clicking on a button. The button leads them to purchase a useless computer program that purportedly will clean up their system.

I don’t know how many people have been affected just because of their curiosity to watch Jenna Bush wedding video but I think it is pretty mean of these people to capitalize on a happy occasion like this!

Anyway, do not simply click on any links that lead you to believe that you can watch Jenna Bush wedding videos. I don’t think it’s available on the web yet.

Free Bug and Issue Management System

Technology evolves so fast that it is hard for us to catch up. That’s why we need the help of programs, software and professional people who specialize in computer technology so that we can concentrate on our own businesses.

There is this web application called FlySwatter from Concept Cache which is a free bug and issue management system. I think this would be useful for personal or enterprise use and certainly, it is what every computer system needs for higher productivity!

I read that FlySwatter even has iPhone and BlackBerry versions so as an iPhone user, this is definitely good news to me. If I like it, I may even write about this on my iPhone blog.

FlySwatter allows for tracking of multiple projects simultaneously, data export to an Excel or PDF file for offline viewing or for future reference, customized RSS Feeds and Twitter integration which means better accessibility, in addition to mobile access via the iPhone or Blackberry as I mentioned earlier.
FlySwatter is a free application but support could be purchased at packages of ten hours whether you are a personal or enterprise user. Phone support could be requested but that will be charged at an hourly rate, instead.

If you would like to try FlySwatter, you just have to provide your email address which will be used for update notification purposes. I don’t know about you but FlySwatter seems like something worth trying. It is free, after all and what is more cost effective than free?

Yahoo! Site Explorer

Recently, I remembered that I did not submit my blogs and websites to Yahoo! Site Explorer. Hmmphh! I don’t know how I could miss that out. I remember submitting them to Goo, though. Out of twenty websites, I only submitted ONE to Yahoo! Site Explorer. Isn’t that strange?

So anyway, I couple of days ago, I dedicated a few hours just submitting all my sites and blogs and feeds to Yahoo! Ste Explorer. I had to download and upload their verification file for each of my sites. That was darn repetitive, I tell you, it was like doing it a million times.

But luckily, everything was completed eventually and I had to wait like two or three hours to check if I managed to get the files uploaded to the place where Yahoo! wants them to be.

If you have not submitted your blogs or websites, perhaps this is a good reminder for you. It is said that Yahoo! will crawl your site and pick up your new pages faster if you have done so. Well, their URL is too long for me to remember. I have to use Yahoo! Search each time I want to go there. I know I could bookmark it but it is already a mile long!

Interesting Career As A Flight Attendant

When it comes to travelling, the flight and accommodation are what I am always reluctant to pay for! I think that these are unnecessary expenses that bust our vacation budget but who asked me not to have studied at a flight attendant school? If I did, I would be making flight attending my career and then I would get to travel for free. Not only that, I would even get free tickets for my friends and family. A friend who is a flight attendant gets ten free tickets every year!

I asked my mom why she did not send me to a flight attendant school of she would get to fly for free annually. And she asked me why I did not grow taller. Oh yea, let’s not go into that! I can’t do anything with bad genes, can I?

A flight attendant career is one of the most exciting in the world. If you do not believe me, then you should read the flight attendant blog where people in the industry shares their stories.

I Need To Change Servers

Today has been pretty bad. All my blogs which shared the same servers were down for about ten hours. That was from the time I realized that it was down, of course. And, when this happens, my traffic is busted, my RealRank is busted AGAIN… well what can I do?

I would like to change to a more stable server but how do I go about that? Would it be a lot of work moving my blogs from one server to another? I know about changing the name servers in the control panel of my domain names but what about moving y blogs physically, the files and everything?

Argh… I hate it when I have to crack my head like this. I wish that I do not even have to bother with these things and just concentrate on blogging. As you know, I have a new blog and I need time to build it up mah!
