My sister asked me to help her to compile information on beauty schools in her area. She would like to enroll in a hair school so that she could finally learn hair styling. It would not exactly help her advance in her career because she is currently in the business of retailing beauty products and accessories. However, she says it is good to pick up a skill and it would be great to open a hair styling salon and be her own boss sometime in the future.

I remember reading about Regency beauty many months ago. Students graduated from Regency Beauty schools are very much sought after because they are well trained and their certificates are recognized by all in the beauty industry. I think that my sister or everyone who is interested in venturing in the beauty industry should check out the courses that are being offered by Regency Beauty Institutes.

Man Pleads Not Guilty For Hacking Sarah Palin’s Yahoo! Mail

The man, David C. Kernell, 20, of Knoxville, who is the son of a prominent Democratic Tennessee state lawmaker, has been accused of hacking into the Yahoo! mail account of Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin’s email gov.palin@yahoo.com is personal but she has been known to conduct state business with this email ads well. David Kernell used the Yahoo! Mail “forgotten password” feature to access Sarah Palin’s email account, correctly answering a few security questions and changing her password to popcorn.

Whether David Kernell really did hack into Sarah Palin’s personal email account and accessing her email, photos and contact numbers of her friends and family members and then posting these information on a public forum, whether David Kernell will receive the punishment that he deserves for his actions if he really did so, is not the issue here.

The lesson that we all should learn is that we should not use real personal information for security questions. Gibberish information is the way to go, but of course, you will need to remember your own answers.

Netflix Inc. Charges $1 More For Unlimited Access To Blu-Ray Rentals

Online DVD rental company, Netflix Inc., has announced that they will be raising monthly membership fee by US$1 (only) which will allow members allow unlimited access to Blu-Ray movies.

Frankly, I watch a lot of movies but I am not that particular about the quality, as long as it is not too bad. I could watch VCD, DVD or even just downloaded movie file unlike some of my friends who are very particular on the format of their movies. I have a friend who would willingly spend a few hundred dollars more every month just to buy Blu-ray movies. He commented that I do not know a good thing when I see it.

I think that for people who are like my friends, paying an additional US$1 per month is no big deal. Even if it’s an additional US$1 per movie rented, it would be well worth it.

Members who are like me who would not mind watching non-Blu-ray movies would have to remember to opt-out of this subscription or be charged US$1 more.

I mentioned before that my friend would like to set up an ecommerce store selling handcrafted costume jewelry. She asked me to help her with the store design. Well, I am only good with setting up a functional ecommerce site.

Yahoo! Vibes Survey Panel

Last evening, I was invited to register with Yahoo! Vibes, a survey panel in collaboration between Yahoo! and TM. Well, of course I registered since I do participate in surveys once in a while.

However, the website is really BLANK. There is nothing in there except member’s profile. I don’t know how successful this survey marketplace will be in future but I am a member of a handful of survey sites and this is the worst I have seen. It’s only because it’s local that I was interested to participate in the first place.

I am not sure when Yahoo! Vibes was launched but I guess it is still early days. I hope that in the near future, members will get to participate in many surveys; including members from outside the Klang Valley.

YouTube Starts Streaming TV Shows With Ads

If you love YouTube, then this would be great news to you. YouTube will start to stream full length TV shows on their website but these videos will come with advertisements.

If you do not mind some ads, then you would probably enjoy watching sitcoms from CBS on YouTube. I actually spend so much time on the computer that if given the choice, I prefer to watch my favorite shows online. However, I do not have a good broadband line and all the buffering drives me crazy.

My friend recently bought a netbook tablet and he told me that it’s awesome watching YouTube videos with it. Now, he no longer needs to make do with short clips but full length TV shows! I wish I could get my dose of complete Korean dramas and TVB serials on YouTube. What about full length movies on YouTube in the near future?
