70 Pages

Last night, I thought I would check the internet and see if there are many people in Malaysia using the iPhone and was surprised that there are a couple of threads in a local forum specifically for users of iPhone. Well, I have been a member of this forum for years but I don’t usually go to the MAC section since I am not a MAC user and the prices are too high class for me.

In the latest thread, there are a total of SEVENTY pages and I feel like I have to read them all in order to know how to make the fullest use of my iPhone. Of course, the important stuffs have been moved to the first post but still, I like reading the questions of other members because I may just have the same questions myself.

When I bought my Nokia E61i, I found a very informative thread in a Symbian mobile device forum and there were ninety pages to that thread, started BEFORE the device was even released. Eeekkkk I tried reading that from the beginning and got stuck at around Page 20. Phew…. I wonder if I will ever finish reading it or not. I just hope members don’t keep adding posts to the thread or I will never get to the end!!!

The Internet Is My Best Friend

Yabadabadooooo My Celcom 3G SIM works with iPhone now!

Just now I decided to do a search on the internet and see if my Celcom 3G SIM card will work with my iPhone or not and I found a solution in a forum. Now… if only I could get 3G to work with it, I would be so happy, happy, happy!!!!!

But I guess not until a new version of 3G iPhone is released. According to my friend, it is not a matter of simply upgrading the firmware. Alamak… why does technology have to be so complex???

Do you know why I started this post with “Yabadabadooooo”? Because just now I tested my first SMS to a friend and wrote “Yahoo! My 3G SIM works with iPhone!” and he responded with, “What about Google?” Bah!!!! So bad, laugh at me!!!

3G, 3G, 3G!!!!

iPhone AutoComplete Email Address

Yesterday, I sent out an image via email to a friend from my iPhone. I didn’t get his email address from my Gmail Contacts and he is not in the contacts of my phone so I had to do it manually.

Well, no thanks to all the numbers in his email address and the still to be gotten used to touch screen keypad, I typed in the wrong address.

I got his address right the second time but then the email address with the error has appeared in my list of AutoComplete email addresses, or is it Most Recently Used list of email addresses?

Whatever the case, the WRONG email address is now there and there is no way for me to delete it from my list. Like everyone before me, I have cleared my email that was sent in error from my Inbox, Sent Box, All Mail and Trash but it is still there.

I read that the only thing to do to take away the offending email addresses is to do a restore. Ackkkk….Tell me THAT is not the stupidest thing.

Where To Look For Austin Commercial Real Estate

My friend, Paul, told me that he has plans to expand his business and start an office in Austin. Right now, he has an office in New York City which he is confident that he could leave the daily management to his brother.

Well, if like Paul, you are also looking for Austin office space, you should check out the website of Don Cox.

With a wealth of experience gained from more than twenty five years in this business and knowing the ins and outs of the commercial real estate market in Austin and its surrounding areas, I think that one would not have a problem looking for a suitable property that meets his needs and budget.

AstroView Magazine

I have been receiving mailers asking me to subscribe to AstroView magazine and it is said that subscribers will receive complimentary copies twelve months or less, depending on when we opt for the free subscription.

However, the fine print says that this “offer” is only valid for people who are subscribed to Astro before February, 2008. That means that I do qualify since mine was activated sometime in June, 2007.

HHmm does this mean that there will no longer be the Astro Guide that we are familiar with? If I do not opt for this one year of complimentary copies, does it mean that I no longer will receive ANY guide from Astro? This is just so vague!

Although I love freebies, I hate the fact that we would only be getting this freebie for twelve months and I would have to keep remembering to cancel my subscription in time so as not to be billed.

Arghh so insincere! TV guides should come free to customers. So what if they upgraded the magazine to be glossier than the previous version? They can, however, sell them at newsstands if they want.

Are you opting for the free issues of AstroView magazine?? I don’t know if I should since I don’t even have time to read them.

Custom Building Laboratory Furniture

This morning, I went to Formaspace out of curiosity to check out what they have to offer. I actually heard of this company for months but never bothered to visit it. I am glad I did today. Although I have no use for laboratory furniture, at least I know how lousy and ancient the laboratory tables and benches are in my school!

The laboratory furniture built by Formaspace is modern, sleek and space-saving. Customers can custom-build them by using a form or by contacting the company directly. This means that they can specify the type and design laboratory furniture to suit their needs and budget.

One main issue about furniture is that they must be practical and comfortable to use. If manufacturers could implement these two into an elegant design then they would have a winner on their hands. You can see many of these on Formaspace.

Full College Bowl Game Schedules

I really salute the Americans for their passion and spirit in sports. This competitiveness is stemmed from young when kids try to get into junior leagues and play their way to the top. This sporting culture is enhanced when people bet on their favorite teams. My American friends are always talking about one Bowl after another and since I left America, I have lost track of Bowl Game schedules since I don’t bet anymore.

This morning, I was told of a website called Doc’s Sports. I am surprised that I never heard of it even though they have more than thirty years of providing sports handicapping services. Well, this site might jet get me interested in College Bowls once again as they are publishing full College Bowl Game Schedules with updates, previews and reviews by their full time professional team of staff. This sounds interesting!

Each Bowl Game schedule includes the location, participants, date and time and the TV channel that it will broadcast on. By accessing Bowl Game information from Doc’s Sports, there really is no need to go anywhere else!
