My friend, Grace, was supposed to help her sister order fresh flowers in bulk for her wedding. And guess what? Grace forgot all about her new task and only remembered it at the last minute. By then, the florist had to decline her order as they would not be able to deliver bulk wedding flowers at such a short notice.

Well, I told Grace about Fifty Flowers who would be able to deliver fresh flowers over night especially for weddings. Heck, they are the experts when it comes to such important events like weddings and parties where fresh flowers are required.

Grace, of course, will be placing an order quietly without her sister’s knowledge. Grace may have agreed to buy bulk wedding flowers but she never did say where she will buy them from! I believe that her sister will not mind, as long as there are fresh flowers to grace her wedding reception!

Some months back, I wrote a post on the Houston Rodeo and how my sister invited me to go watch it with her. That post received a warm reception from readers who all encouraged me to go because it would be a lifetime experience. Unfortunately, my sister has not been feeling very well and so I am not even sure if my trip is still ON.

So my sister said, if we do miss that, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo which will be held in December, would be a good show to watch instead. Of course, I would prefer to watch Bon Jovi in concert that will be playing in Tennessee, my sister’s home city, BUT my sister is adamant to introduce rodeo to me. She has been to one a year ago when her fiancé received a pair of NFR Tickets at a company raffle.

Since then, my sister has been saying that I should watch it because it is very interesting and exciting and certainly nothing that I have ever seen before. I have been to quite a number of sporting events before but definitely not rodeo and I am so looking forward to my first show.

And to have the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, which is also known as the Super Bowl of Rodeo, as my first ever rodeo show would be awesome!

When my friend, Mary, told me that she is “suffering” from varicose veins, I told her that she should not worry about it because it is a very common problem.

However, Mary said that she is suffering from low self-esteem because of that! I told her that if this is so, she can always “cover up” with long skirts or pants. But Mary says that covering up does not get to the root of the problem. Mary also associates Varicose or Vericose Veins, with old age. Well, it is just ONE of the many factors!

I guess when a person’s mind is fixated on something, it is hard to get her to think about something else!

Do you think that Mary should do something about her veins? She said that there are treatments for this. Although I think that her condition is not that bad, Mary thinks that she should arrest the problem while it is at the “not so bad” stage. Hhmm I think it’s ultimately up to her. The most important thing is to be happy with herself!

It’s now the 16th day of the Chinese Lunar calendar hence it means that Chinese New Year is officially over. Nope, nobody will be giving away “lei see” anymore. Boy, don’t THEY wish that it was over sooner? There will be no more “big drink, big eat” and most of all, there will be no more gambling! Chinese people are addicted to gambling.

There will also be no more open houses and visiting. I don’t like Chinese New Year because everyone seems so fake. The only things I like are the red packets but the number of packets is getting smaller year by year.

Anyway, my friend wished me “HappyChap Goh Meh” earlier in the evening and I was surprised. I spent the better part of the New Year working and didn’t even realise that it was going to end soon. Besides, there aren’t many Hokkien families here so the 15th is like a normal day for my neighbours and I.

I would like to say that I am too old for game but when you give me a nice game to play, I can be totally immersed in it and forget all about time, Or WORK. Especially WORK!

Lately, I have been so busy that I do not have the time to play any games let alone go looking for games to play. I had to make do with boring Othello on my iPhone and Tetris on my Nokia E61i which I play commuting to and from work.

Well, now that I am being introduced to the new edition of Diner Dash called Hometown Hero, I am afraid I am being addicted to games all over again!

Diner Dash: Hometown Hero is all about how Flo goes back to her hometown to help upgrade the town with tips she earned from diners. This is a fun game but if you have ever been a server at a busy restaurant before, this game becomes real. And it’s kind of scary to see the type of diners that Flo has to deal with! haha!

Wah, I received a newsletter from Apple this morning informing that they have slashed the price of 1GB iPod Shuffle. It’s now ONLY $49. That’s in USD, but still cheap hoh? If I were working in the United States, I would think that $50 for a portable jukebox would be well worth my money.

Even here in Malaysia, after the currency conversion, it’s only just MYR150. I wonder what the current price for the old stocks is. I wonder when the new stocks with the new pricing will arrive.

HMmm there are a few Apple authorized resellers even in cow town Ipoh. I’m going to wait and see. Hopefully soon, the new pricing will be reflected in those iPod Shuffles that are already here.

There’s something wrong with the time of my servers. Each time I want to publish a post, I have to REMEMBER to adjust the time one hour back because the sere time is now one hour and a few minutes a head.

I want to let my host know about it so that he can write to the hosting provider. It has been a week now and they still did not realise it? Unfortunately, my host is no where to be seen online and I bet that he ha gone off shore again. Bah… it’s not easy to get in touch with him anymore but he’s a very helpful person that’s why I continue hosting with him.

Anyway, as long as I remember going back an hour, I will be save. Otherwise, I will be accused of adjusting my timestamps and we don’t wan that to happen AGAIN, do we?
