I was telling my cousin how I did not have time to read anymore since I discovered the internet. She said that, she on the other hand, has been reading more because living in London is so expensive, she tries to stay indoors as much as possible so reading has been her new hobby. She told me that she buys UK books. It’s convenient to shop online plus she gets huge savings as well.

I know of Borders but have never shopped with them but out of curiosity, since it was mentioned, I checked what they have. I am so delighted to know that they carry a range of banned books! You know, these are books that have been banned in the country when they were first published but Borders not only sell them, but sell them at up to 40% discount too!

In this list of banned books, I don’t deny that I have already read quite a few, including The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, which I have to say, is a very good book, Flowers in the Attic by Virginia Andrews and Animal Farm by George Orwell.

However, one book that I have always wanted to read but could not find it in local stores so far and available now on Borders UK is Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. I really should read it to see why it has been banned in the first place. Curious here!

Wedding favors could be very expensive, especially the elaborate or personalized ones, much to my shock! As you are aware, I am helping a friend plan her wedding and I did an extensive research because I only have a really tight budget to work with. I may be doing this voluntarily but I do hope that my friend will be pleased with the outcome. I don’t want a long-faced bride on my hands!

Of course, I am only able to browse their website. Owning a unit would be a dream come true!

Apogee Condo in Miami Beach caters to the rich and famous (maybe!) people in America and around the world. This is like their holiday home where they could come in a helicopter or a boat since the marina is just nearby.

If I have the money, I too would love to get a home there. It’s not because I want to rub shoulders with the rich and famous when they drop by, but I love the feeling that I am on vacation the whole year round even if I may be holed up at home working!

My friend, Jenn, just picked up paintball. You know, it is not played so much here in my hometown than in the capital city but she is so passionate about the sports that she travels down to join her team mates for paintball every weekend! She told me to join her too but I really have no time for any sports at all. I would watch her if she was playing here, though, but not to the point of traveling more than 200km just to play, or watch!

Jenn asked me if I know of an online store that sells paintball equipment. She knows that I shop online regularly and wonders if I have come across any store that specializes in paintball gear and accessories. She told me that she wants to buy spyder paintball guns and although they are available here, they are so expensive!

I really could not comment on the prices here since I have no idea but I do know that she would be able to purchase discount paintball equipment and other paintball items from Zephyr Paintball. How much she would be able to save, I cannot tell. It depends on how clever she is shopping online!

In a way, I am so glad that I do not own the car. I know nothing about cars and if it breaks down on me, it will drive me nuts! A friend has been complaining to me that there’s something not right with her car. Of course, I could not be of help.

This lady knows a little about cars, not too much but to save money, she tried to determine the problem and then buy the part and replace it herself. She spent such long hours just checking and then it was only much later and too much frustration that she discovered that the problem was from her radiator.

I told her that I do not understand why she tried to fix her car herself. The time she spent is also money and would be able to buy her two radiators already!

It’s a guy thing. They love to tinker with cars even if there’s nothing wrong with the cars, which is a good thing for us ladies, actually. We don’t have to worry about changing the oil or the tires. Just drive the car and if the car acts strange just call the man.

A friend of mine is contemplating replacing his car engine. To me, there is nothing wrong with the engine but he says that it is underpowered. I don’t know, but if he wants to do the work of replacing the engine himself then it’s his own problem.

I told him about midwest auto recycling, a company that specializes in used car engines and transmissions and mentioned that perhaps he would be able to find the used engine for his car model. That’s the most I could be of help because no way am I going to accompany him from one garage to another looking for the used car parts!
