Although I have heard of Four Square before, I have never bothered to find out what it is all about. Four Square is actually a ball game but in internet speak, it is a social network platform, more like Twitter, only less popular, I think.

The event starts at 7pm so head over and check out what activities are lined up for you. No, you don’ have to check in to the hotel. I don’t think you have to pay a single cent to participate and there is no need for pre-registration to the event. Just head over there on the stipulated day and time.

My sister told me that her colleague is planning to leave the company and go back to school. She has been working in the beauty salon for the past two years an felt that without going to a cosmetology school, her career path is pretty bleak. She cannot hope to get a promotion within the company.

According to my sister, this lady is planning to enroll in Virginia Cosmetology School. She would have to relocate because she is currently in Tennessee but she is up to the challenge of starting afresh in a new city.

I really take my hat off to her. I have contemplated doing the same thing but haven’t found the guts to just break away from the comfort zone, leaving everything familiar behind and start from scratch. Maybe one day I will do it. Maybe …

I don’t know how many people actually use Fring but I love it and I find that the quality of VoIP is very reasonable. Well, I don’t have much complaints when it’s free. However, over the past week, Fring has performed really badly, and I am not talking about the voice quality of VoIP.

Since two weeks ago, my Fring buddylist has not been able to load. I went to check out the forum on Fring and found a handful of threads by people experiencing the same issue. On the times that it does load, my contacts who are online are shown as offline. We cannot send each other text messages but apparently, we can still voice chat. However, who is to know if it’s a real Fring call or a cellular call? I feel uneasy in case a call out is billed by my cellular provider.

Sometimes, my subscribed services like Twitter and Skype would have the same problems too. If I can log in, I am considered lucky, otherwise, either my contacts, offline and online, are not shown, online contacts are shown as offline, or I am unable to make Skype calls because I do not have that option.

Anyway, I hope more Fring users who are affected will make more noise so that Fring will get these issues sorted out as soon as possible. Otherwise, my friend and I may move to something else. Heard that Nimbuzz is a decent alternative.

A couple of my friends are planning to undergo cosmetic surgery face lift. I don’t think that their face is saggy at all but they think that it will make them more beautiful. What to do, they have the money. They surprised me even further by saying that they will be going to Mexico for it.

While I know that plastic surgery Mexico is rather popular, I am not sure if it’s advisable for two ladies to travel there. They laughed at me and said that if I was so worried, I should travel with them. Oh, do they think that I too need a plastic surgery done too?

I confess that I would love to have a breast augmentation surgery because I am quite flat chested. Friends say I don’t need a surgery to increase my size but a boyfriend instead. They are laughing at me again! I really shouldn’t listen to them.

But going under the knife must be very painful and unfortunately, I have a very low pain threshold. Besides, having read so many news report about plastic surgery gone wrong makes me think of all the bad things that could happen to me. Then again, I was told that plastic surgery in Mexico is very safe. They are very advanced. On top of that, they have one of the most affordable rates too making it a very sought after country by people who want to look more beautiful.

I am thinking of moving to the capital city but because I do not have a car, I am trying to look for a place that’s convenient and has the necessary amenities and public transport. I am currently looking at a place that’s like a “college town” because there are a few institutes of higher learning nearby. As you can imagine, with so many students from out of state or even overseas, it will be quite a convenient place for me, an out of towner, to settle in.

Moreover, since I am someone who practically spends the whole day online, I expect i would do more shopping online as well, buying anything from medical supplies to clothes. I have no qualms about shopping online, unlike some people who will not disclose their credit card details on the web. It’s actually a matter of shopping at secure online stores!

Jason, my friend, told me that his wife would like to upgrade herself with new beauty skills by taking up a cosmetology course. His wife is currently a beautician who operates from home but because she graduated from a beauty school over ten years ago, she would like to refresh herself on the latest trends.

I told them that the only leading cosmetology school that I know of is the Cosmetology school in Arkansas and I have heard good things about them but of course, they should always do their own research first to see which one is able to offer her what she is after and also find one that is conveniently located. In addition, they should look for one that suits their budget!

A good friend just sent me a text message to save a date for May. His wedding is coming up, it seems. I hope it will truly come true because he has already postponed his wedding two times previously due to deaths in the family.

I asked him why he is being so informal now by just sending text messages to us when he could make the occasion extra special by sending us Save The Date Cards. He said that having done all the ground work and in the end had to postpone his wedding TWICE, he was tired of preparing for his wedding already.

I said that he could do away with save the date cards since it’s not a tradition to send those out but he cannot forgo sending out Wedding Invitations. It’s a MUST. A wedding card also makes a great keepsake to commemorate a big lifetime occasion like a wedding, don’t you think so?

I know that my friend will be planning to start a family as soon as they sign on the dotted line. The couple isn’t getting any younger in age so I am expecting to receive Baby Shower Invitations from this couple before long. I better start saving some money for wedding and baby gifts!
