Google Says, “Change Passwords Twice A Year”

Google has advised users to change their passwords twice a year, and for Google suite of products, to have a different password for a different service. I don’t know if this is possible or even how to make that change if it’s possible.

Of course, along with this advice, there was a long list of things that we should and should not do, especially if we are using a shared computer or a public computer. Yet, even though Google has prepared a pretty good list, a few equally important points have been missed.

After reading this post, I too will be following with what Google said, addressing users’ security concerns. What about you?

Researching On Gold Coin Investing

My father has told me that he wants to start buying gold coins. It’s kind of weird that although my mother has bought some gold coins over the years, he has never shown any interest in it. Now, after hearing from his friends that precious metals are great commodities to invest in, especially gold, he thinks that he should follow suit.

My parents both can operate the computer now, luckily, so I just showed my father the website of United States Gold Bureau to learn how to invest in precious metals. I have no experience in it, anyway, so it’s a good thing that he could learn from the experts and then decide for himself.

Actually, I too have been following the performance of gold in the London Metal Exchange but have so far not found the opportunity to enter the market. Something always comes up and mess up my budget. I think I need to be more financially solid first before I think about investing in precious metal.

Platinum Protection Home Security Remote Access iPhone App

I have been using the Apple iPhone since its first generation days and although back then, all my friends were very envious of me, I have never considered the iPhone as a work tool but more of an entertainment device.

I think part of the reason is that I do not take the trouble to upgrade my OS and also because I don’t spend enough time exploring apps. Even though I only go for free apps, there are still thousands of them available!

I just found out about Platinum Protection iPhone App a home security system that we can access from our iPhone wherever we are connected to the internet, even though we may be traveling overseas.

With this application, I believe I will start using the iPhone more. If you have been following my blog, you will remember that my house was almost broken into three times over the past two years. Platinum Protection home security iPhone app will surely come in handy as I would be able to monitor my house and family members even when away thanks to the many sensors placed around the house.

Although there are other home security systems that offer mobile access, I believe Platinum Protection is the first and only company to come out with an iPhone app and because of the app, it makes home security remote access so simple and easy to use.

Fast Online Traffic School Course

As mentioned in a previous post, I will be submitting job application soon. It is a new experience for me since I have never applied for a job before. A friend told me that some prospective employers may look at our driving record and asked if mine is “clean”. Well, it is since I haven’t been driving for very long but if you have recently received a driving ticket, you should look at this Los Angeles Online Traffic School to see how you can take up a traffic school course for free.

Well, fees will only be charged when you are ready to sit for the test. The good thing, though, is that it is a one-time charge so you can sit for the test as many times as needed for you to pass it at no extra charge.

Also, since the test is done online, you can do so at your own convenience. Moreover, your Certificate of Completion will be submitted to the court immediately and so that your traffic ticket will be dismissed as soon as possible. Besides the off-chance that your driving record will be scrutinized by prospective employers, having a good driving record will also lower your auto insurance.

Taking an online traffic school course is one of the fastest and cheapest way to keep demerit points off your driving record.

Preparatory School Offer

I am going to submit a job application soon. Can you believe that I have never applied for a job before? I don’t even know how to write my resume. My friend told me that I am highly unemployable but even though I do not meet the requirements exactly, I am going to give it a shot.

Sometimes, seeing how well my former school mates are doing in life, I feel quite stupid but I know that it’s only because of circumstances that caused me not to complete my tertiary education. If only I have worked harder at school so as to qualify for a scholarship!

It’s not that I am hard up for a job and in fact, I am happy doing what I am doing now but I kind of regret that I turned down my uncle’s offer to put me through Preparatory School. I wonder how my life would be if I had taken up his offer but then I didn’t want to feel beholden to him for the rest of my life!

Anyway, I have got my cover letter and resume ready but have asked a friend to have a look at them. Once I have submitted my job application, I will forget about it. As I said, I don’t meet their required education background. I hope, though, that practical experience will count for something!

Online Traffic School

If you have been following my blog, you would know that I have started to drive again after not driving for the past 15 years or so. I recently bought a car, you see, and I have to rebuild my confidence on the road and in handling a vehicle. I am extremely rusty and my dad doesn’t allow me to drive alone.

Before I purchased this car, I told myself that I would like to enroll in a driving school for a refresher’s course not only in driving but also in traffic rules. However, I was quite shocked that going back to driving school is very expensive these days! It’s at least double what I paid when I sat for my driving test 15 years ago!

This morning, I came across this court approved online San Diego Traffic School that allow drivers who have been slapped with a traffic ticket or citation to take a quiz in traffic safety rules online. The best thing is that drivers can take the final part of the quiz over and over again until they score 80% and above and at no extra charge too. The certificate will be mailed out.

Taking such a traffic safety course will remove traffic tickets from a driver’s traffic record, reducing demerit points and lowering auto insurance premiums.
