Make Or Break With Headshots

If you read my blog, you would know that I surf to a lot of social networking portals and dating sites. Hey, I’m single and looking, so 😀 Unfortunately, I have been put off by lots of people even though I do not know them at all. Well, the first impression that one gets in online sites is the photo on profile. If it’s not attractive, I wouldn’t bother reading, contacting and getting to know that person. I am sure I am not alone.

I thought to myself that surely these people could invest some money on great Headshots, you know, close up photos showing the head above the shoulders.

I mean, if you are out to socialise in public domains, at least make yourself presentable, right? I came across a Los Angeles photographer who is an expert in headshots. He has shot many Hollywood celebrities and TV stars who photographs headshots good enough to be on the cover of glossy magazines.

Doug Hac has just launched a website at HeadshotStudio.com. Check it out. I am sure you will be as impressed as I am.

Firefox vs. Internet Explorer

So the news is out that there are more Firefox users than Internet Explorer users. What about me then?? I fire up my Firefox and IE at the same time each time I turn my computer on. And why is it that I have to be going against convention all the time?

Granted, when I mean IE here, I am using Maxthon, which is different but running on IE’s core, I have been told, so it is essential the same. There are times when I use the real IE but it’s rare.

While many people claim that Firefox is way better than IE. I don’t think so. I use both at the same time because I think both have different features to offer me.

However, if I am forced to choose only one browser, I think I would prefer Maxthon over the original Internet Explorer or Firefox.

Blank Canvas Hits 200

…….on Technorati! Well, I consider it an achievement! Kenot meh?? When I first started blogging a couple of years ago, I never bothered about my Technorati ranking, until it came into play on the sponsored posts that I could and could not write.

That of course forced me to look into my ranking seriously but it is never easy to start a blog from scratch and hope to achieve what five year old blogs have achieved.

However, I joined a couple of blogrolls and viral tags and my oh my, my link has been appearing all over the blogosphere, which is a good thing for Technorati ranking and backlinks only. They don’t help in generating traffic at all, though.

However, now there has been a change in policy and Technorati ranks are no longer taken into consideration. And yet, I still get a kick from seeing my Authority score rise and rise.

Unfortunately, I do not have as much time to devote on that for the moment. My primary concern now is to get my Google Page Rank up and I don’t even freaking have time for that!!! Gggrrrr!

Stress-free Apartment Living

Although I am still living with my parents, I have decided that should I move out, I will be moving to an apartment and not a house. For one, I really need to be free from doing all the household chores and I am tired of gardening!

I already have a lot of things planned in my head and read up on how to make a smooth transition of moving to an apartment. I am sure I would love apartment living for a change and if I do enjoy the environment, I may even buy an apartment.

Many people told me that an apartment is just a pigeon hole in the sky but I don’t think of it that way. I found a great resource site on the internet at ApartmentGuide.com and I am convinced that apartment living is just right for my lifestyle.

Oh yes, this resource guide has an excellent section on getting free online moving quotes as they believe that moving should be stress-free. Well, so do I!

Wassup, Yo Momma?

Ok, so I know that you’re probably already familiar with Wilmer Valderrama’s show on MTV, “Yo Momma,” but what you might not know is that MTV just recently started an online part to the show – it’s basically an enormous online bank of yo momma jokes and slams.

Check it out at yomomma.tv and you can start battling other users around the world, or come check out their yomomma myspace page to meet other people that are just as interested in Yo Momma as you are.

Free Online Consumer Finance Portal

I discovered a website that I feel is most useful to all of us. You know how difficult it is to manage your money when everything is getting more and more expensive but our salary seemed stuck? I was shocked to read that the minimum wage for Americans is only $5.85 per hour. Isn’t that ridiculous and how does one manage on that sum, especially if they have children? While some may think that most people do not earn only the minimum, you will be surprised how many adults actually earn that or even less! It’s no wonder that some people cannot manage their finances and end up in debt.

I have told a few of my friends about Bills.com and they say that the site is very resourceful and packed with information on how to get out of debt. Also, they could easily get mortgage help without hassle by just filling out a form and lenders on the database of Bills.com would be in contact.

My friends say that the have gained invaluable information from Bills.com and they could apply that knowledge on themselves. Now, they could help with bills and other miscellaneous expenses of every household, without placing the entire burden on the shoulders of their partner.
