KeywordSpy Promotional Code

As a blogger and an online retailer who continues to push for traffic, I am always comparing notes with my friends who are also trying to earn a living online. Search engine algorithms keep changing and we have to be quick to catch on.

A friend told me that he uses a keyword analysis program to analyze his competitors and check the rates they are paying for the keywords they are buying. Based on that analysis, he could easily build a list of keywords to target and know exactly how much he should bid on those keywords, working well within his adwords campaign budget. The real time tracking makes a good indicator on our ROI, so that we could easily change our course of campaign, if it’s not working as it should.

I was at first quite interested in getting the tool as well, until I saw its price tag. I couldn’t afford it. Then I found something better in KeywordSpy but still, delayed my purchase. I am glad I did as I came across this keywordspy promo code which will save me 20% on my first month of subscription. Now, you may think that 20% is not much but to me, it’s better than paying full price!

Worst Pop Song Ever Garners 14 Million Views

Everyone on the internet is making fun on 13-year-old Rebecca Black for singing the worst pop song ever. She is the product of a production company that gets paid for producing videos for people who can pay their fees. Song and video production are all inclusive in the package.

Rebecca Black actually posted her video of the song “Friday” on YouTube last month but it didn’t get the attention until it was mentioned by comedian Michael J. Nelson on Twitter, who says that it’s the worst video ever made. We don’t really know if he was paid to throw in the link in a tweet, whether in a positive or negative light.

Here I embed the video of Friday by Rebecca Black, only 13 years old, you know? So you judge for yourself if it’s really the worst every pop song, the worst ever video or both.

One Domain, One Hosting Package

The other day, my server was suspended by my host AGAIN. This really stresses me out. According to my host, the reason that my account was suspended was because of CGI/PHP overload. I have no idea what this means except that it’s taking too much resources and they have to suspend my server.

Well, it’s all right if they allow me to login to do some troubleshooting but I could only access my server after almost one day! Truly, I try not to let downtime like this affect me but the longer I wait, the more worried I become because I can’t access any of my blogs or websites even though only one of the sites was causing the overload.

Since then, I have been looking at separating all my sites into different hosting packages so that when one server is suspended, the rest of my online properties will not be affected. I’ve just been shown this myhosting coupon that gives me free basic hosting for three months. It’s a long enough time to try out a service and if I like it, I can then continue with the service and pay for it, of course.

Right now, I am busy comparing hosting packages from the many My Hosting coupons available, racing against time in case my hosting account gets suspended yet again.

Google Smart Labels

Google unveiled yet another new feature in Gmail called “Smart Labels” which has to be enabled through Google Labs. This feature aims to help users label their email and sort them out according to groups. Those messages from mailing lists, if labeled so, by pass the inbox but will arrive in the All Mail list instead. On the other hand, mails that come from forums or something similar, when labeled accordingly, will arrive at the inbox.

According to Google, people who use this feature will save 15% of time going though their email messages. That’s a lot of time saved, actually. But personally, I prefer to see all my mail at once without opening different folders. I read most mail on the phone and it actually saves time just looking at the title of the email messages and decide there and then which to delete, which to read, which needs replaying, which starred and/or labeled.

Windows Live Spaces Closing On 16th March, 2011

Since the beginning of March, I have received two notices from Microsoft that they are shutting down Windows Live Spaces. Actually, this decision was made months ago but before we know it, D Day is almost here.

Although I do not have a Windows Live Spaces account, which is Microsoft’s free blogging/photo sharing service, I have reminded a few of my friends whom I know keep, or used to keep Windows Live Spaces blogs. Windows Live Spaces may not be flexible or customizable, there were still some people who liked using it.

Too bad, now they have the problem of having to deal with migrating their content. I know that Microsoft has made arrangements for content to be easily ported to free WordPress blogs but WordPress free blogging service may not be everyone’s top choice.

I’m quite afraid. I use many free web-based services and frankly, we don’t even know when we will one day receive a cease of service notice!

Gmail Accidentally Resets Accounts

This morning, I was greeted with the news with Gmail has accidentally reset a number of email accounts. According to reports, the number of affected accounts goes as high as 500,000 but Gmail folks say that it’s only 0.29% of its user base.

Whatever the number of affected accounts, this shouldn’t have happened at all. A few short weeks ago, Microsoft’s Hotmail had the same issue and users were faced with a blank Hotmail account like one would see if one just set up a new Hotmail account, including the Welcome email.

When that happened, even though I was not affected and even though Hotmail subsequently restored everyone’s email after a few days, I backed up my email to Gmail, thinking that it’s safer. Now, it looks like even cloud storage that Gmail purportedly uses isn’t safe as well.

Motorola Mobility Slapped With Xoom Trademark Lawsuit

I’ve been following Motorola Mobility’s Xoom tablet introduction and launch and I would say it had at least been three months, if not more. Hence, I was a little puzzled that just as Motorola launches Xoom it has been slapped with a trademark lawsuit by an internet payment company, Xoom, for breaching its trademark.

Now, those of us who are online, especially those who follow technology news, would surely have heard of Motorola’s Xoom already. It even won an award at a recent conference, didn’t it? So I don’t really understand why this trademark holder only comes into the scene now when Xoom is launched and all the tablets are ready to be shipped…

This makes me think that the trademark holder doesn’t really care about its name being used but just wanted to be bought out. This makes me wonder how much Motorola is willing to pay to continue to be able to use Xoom. What do you think?
