Sometime back, I received a notice that I would need to have at least ten posts in a forum before I would be able to reply to my Private Messages. And I was like, “What the heck force us to participate in the forum!” but I do understand that this was a measure taken to counter spammers in the forum. Heh.. spammers are everywhere and they are posting porn in forums.

I spent a few hours at the forum reading and replying to threads and finally managed to get that ten posts under my belt within a day. Some of you may wonder why it took me that long to accumulate ten posts. Well, I like to read and respond intelligently. And reading takes up a lot of time when I have never been in the forum before and the threads are long.

Anyway, am glad that I passed the mark and am now able to reply to my private messages. I’m just feeling lucky that their minimum is not set to 20 to 50 haha! Hope they won’t keep putting the bar higher and higher, though!

I am was an avid reader and used to read anything and everything that I could get my hands on, including the side of cereal boxes. I even had to take a book into the loo with me. However, I had to change my habit when I am on the computer for 20 hours a day and had to rest my eyes when I am off the computer, so no more reading for me. However, I am still buying books and magazines telling myself that SOMEDAY I will find the time to read them all!

Thinking back, I feel quite stupid to have spent so much money on the reading material when I could get them all for free online like downloadable e-books, e-magazines and newspapers. But the joy of feeling the book in my hands, I think that only another book lover would understand.
