Home Medical Online Store

I believe that many of us have a first aid kit at home. This is very important especially if we have young children or older people in the family. If you do not have, then may I suggest that you start equipping your home with one?

I recently saw a few items that would be great to have on “standby” at home from a home medical online store and they are not even expensive at all but having them at home would save us a lot of hassle especially in case if a minor medical emergency that may call for immediate medical treatment until we have the chance to seek medical treatment.

Allegro Medical is a leading supplier of medical products, equipment and supplies and they are able to offer these at very competitive prices since they are passing the savings to us consumers. I checked and compared prices from a few places and I would have to say that Allegro Medical generally has some of the lowest prices.

Malaysia Boleh on Technorati!

Did you notice two Malaysians on Technorati lately? Well, can’t say Malaysia TAK boleh, kan? There’s Chua Soi Lek, Chua Soi Lek Sex Video, Chua Soi Lek Sex Scandal, Chua Soi Lek DVD and many other variations and of course Advertlets. They even claimed the top spot for a few days.

Did you know that people from around the world are looking for the Chua Soi Lek Sex DVD. Aiya, I tell you, even if we have it, we would not be sharing it on our blogs lah. Wouldn’t that be madness now that the police are hot on the heels of the DVD distributors, sellers, owners and even “watchers”?

I find it very amusing that they don’t catch the PRODUCERS or the ACTORS but catch people who may have received them for free. From what I understand from newspapers, people were distributing them freely and stuffing them into the mailbox of homes and shops.

Ah… if anyone is caught with the DVD even though they were forced into their cars or homes, then bad luck loh… and good luck to you for possessing “obscene material”!

Beauty Jobs For You

Do you have faith that you will be able to look for that ideal job on an online job board? Speaking from experience and those of my friends, I would say that we have a better chance of finding it online that submitting applications the conventional way. At least, it saves us lots of time and we don’t even have to go knocking from door to door.

This morning, I was told of an online job board that has plenty of beauty jobs to pick and choose. This is because the board was set up by a beauty school for people in the beauty industry.

If you have are in the beauty business or own a beauty salon, for example, then you can offer jobs on this board for free. This is also the perfect place for people looking for beauty jobs. Of course, they would have to be skilled and professionally trained because beauty jobs are also as competitive as any other jobs!

Vedis Scratched My Back. Will You?

A couple of days after I implemented ScratchBack, Vedis, who occasionally comes to read my blogs, bought a slot from me. Thank you very much, Vedis. It’s cheap, only $2 and after giving the commission to ScratchBack and then PayPal, I am not sure how much I will be getting but then a little something extra will always add up.

ScratchBack provides good exposure for your blog or website but it is nofollow and while you will not be getting any link juice, it is not frown upon by the Search Engines.

I actually joined ScratchBack a long time ago but did not have the chance to implement the widget on my blog due to limitations of my old WordPress theme. The sidebar was not wide enough and I didn’t know if I could narrow down the widget but now that I have it on my blog, I hope that it will fill up soon. Hey, there are only FIVE slots…. :(

If you have the time, do give Vedis a visit. She has plenty of tips on how to save money and reduce your debt. She is speaking from experience!

A.d.v.e.r.t.l.e.t.s. Boo Boo

I am sure by now everyone knows about the domain name expiration of A.d.v.e.r.t.l.e.t.s. yesterday. Well, what an ultra boo boo. I mean, keeping the domain name active is like the basics of running a website. How expensive could renewal of a domain name be? Mine is renewed until 2014 because I definitely do not want something like that to happen to my sites even though they are not a business concern like A.d.v.e.r.t.l.e.t.s.

Well, last evening slightly after 5pm, I logged on to my blog about to make a post but discovered that my blogs have been hijacked by advertisements. Prior to that, I did access to A.d.v.e.r.t.l.e.t.s. and found that the domain name had expired and I thought that this advertisement company somehow hijacked my blogs like it sometimes will.

So I tried to access my blogs from my iPhone since Safari would be a clean browser. Well, same issue. I thought fleetingly that it could have been an issue with my web host but then after checking another blog of mine that does not have A.d.v.e.r.t.l.e.t.s. ad codes implemented and checking other blogs that I know for sure are publishers of A.d.v.e.r.t.l.e.t.s., I soon took down all A.d.v.e.r.t.l.e.t.s. codes from all my blogs and regained access to them.

What pissed me off was that I wanted to blog and there I was forced to do the technical stuff or else I could not even access my own blog. I had to remove them pronto as I would be losing traffic but thankfully I found out early. Also, I just added new ad codes to my blog after I changed my WordPress theme, as I wanted to increase my A.d.v.e.r.t.l.e.t.s. revenue from the RM0.001 – RM0.004 (ya, I am shocked too!) that I am getting a day and it’s not even a week that I had to remove them all, ON 5 blogs, man. You think I’m so free, meh??

I remember telling my friend what a pity it is that everyone is waiting for A.d.v.e.r.t.l.e.t.s. to go down. I mean, I don’t mind the company or the Boss and I did receive my first cheque of RM110 from them a week ago and won a prize package in a recent contest held by the company. Do you know what my friend replied? “He deserves to go down.”

Alamak….. this episode with the domain name expiration isn’t going to help his reputation. I would have called the Boss up if I have his mobile number but there was no way that I could alert him. Well, now that the codes are off, I am not sure when I will be re-implementing them again. It IS a lot of work, you know? I am sure that I am not the only one dragging my feet placing those codes again. I wonder how many publishers they are losing because of this. Unlike other people, I don’t want them to go down.

Securing Parking Space Online

When my cousin, Jasmine, informed me that she is planning to buy a car, the first question I asked her was, “Are you sure you will be able to find a parking space for it?” You see, Jasmine lives in London and we all know how difficult it is to find a convenient parking space for the car and even if it is available, it won’t come cheap. That’s why my friend, Sitt, prefers to ride the bicycle than to get a headache over London parking!!

According to Jasmine, she could apply for parking space to rent which could be as cheap as £150 per month right up to £500 per month or more. Of course, the rate is based on exclusivity of the location and convenience and how secure it is.

I was told that Park Let is a leading company in London that specializes in securing parking spaces and garages to car owners who may have difficulty finding a suitable parking space. By accessing the website of Park Let, vehicle owners in London would be able to check out the in depth information of each available parking space including price, distance to the nearest station and location map of the space and then apply from the site.

With the convenience of securing parking space on the web, parking in London may never be a problem again for the web savvy.

Caregiving Resource Site

The New Year is here and we are all a year older. I remember a couple of years ago, my friend asked me how I plan to grow old. He was in his thirties and was suffering from cancer. He said that one of his worst fears was to be a burden to his family. He knows that many illnesses accompany old age, having lived with his grandmother and father who both suffered from dementia before they finally died.

When he was ill, his mother and sister were his caregivers. It was a very stressful time for everyone because it is never easy to provide caregiving to a loved on, especially one who is younger.

This morning, I was told of a caregiving resources site at http://www.agis.com/. I think that everyone of us should read through the site for valuable caregiving information. With the advancement of medicine, we are living longer but that does not mean that we are going to live at the best of health. I think that at one point or other in our lives, most of us will either end up being a caregiver or recipient.

AGIS, which stands for Assist Guide Information Services, provides caregivers resources especially for people who are planning for the future like what my friend did. This is also a good place to start to connect with other caregivers. People who are in this position know that it’s a long and lonely road ridden with doubts and guilt. Being a part of a support group would be an excellent way to build our mental strength.
