I used my iPhone and Nokia E61i as if they were a desktop and laptop just now when there was a power disruption in my home. After more than two hours in the dark staring at the ultra bright screen, I tell you, I am ready to puke. I don’t feel well at the best of times when I over strain my eyes but just now, it was worse.

It was not as if there was anything I could do and it made me realise that even with technology in your hands, without electricity, they are useless. I mean, I have two computers and two internet lines and two mobile devices but I had no electricity to power them.

Sure, you could say that we can depend on the battery but for how long? My iPhone was almost flat and I didn’t do much except to reply to a few emails, surf a little, play a little Reversi and listen to music.

UUgghh my eyes are crossed already!

I know some of my friends are already sick and tired of AdWords and Yahoo! While Yahoo! has been kind to us bloggers, the other company, which runs AdWords has not. I know that these blogger friends who advertise heavily on AdWords have been very mad because of being unfairly penalized for passing link juice and have been looking for an alternative.

I like it that the search blog input box is so intuitive. It auto-completes whatever URL you try to type in with the blogs that are already in the database. I used to worry how my blogs will rank on IZEA when it launches, but no longer. I know I could do with more traffic but it would not be making much difference to me now because although I have a handful of blogs in the system, some of them have already retired from active duty and I could not care less if anyone reads my blog since I am blogging purely for passion again.

And no, I am not so kiasu that I have to be number one. Who cares, right? At the end of the day, there will always be a first, the last and the in-betweens. It’s not like Talledega Nights where the guy lived on the motto, “If you’re not first, you’re last!”

And at the end of the day, IZEA Ranks will be just like any other ranking system. There’s more to life than worrying about where we end up in the system, right?

Oh, by the way, if you do not know yet, IZEA Ranks will rank blogs ONLY. However, I am not sure I want to implement the codes on my blogs that are not already in the IZEA system.

A couple of days ago, I went to look for new domain names for my blogs and a new website that I intent to start. Well, I found a few that I like and could brand but for one of them, I was so disappointed that it was just registered to its new owner and I just missed having a great domain name for myself.

Well, I have got four blogs and sites but I found a list of them which I sent to my friend to help me pick the “best”. What I was actually looking for is one that could project the content or theme of my blogs and sites from the name itself.

I am not interested in generic names or names that are a mile long. Do you know that people will never remember your blog or site address if it is too long? They keep searching for the keywords on the internet as if they never heard of the Bookmark or Favorite feature!

Well, I hope that my friend will get back to me soon with the “best” names from the list so that I could register them soon and get down to moving my free hosted blogs to their own paid homes.

I implemented more NuffNang ads on two of my blogs. There’s plenty of space though some people may think it’s crowded now. Well, I used to have only an ad code for the sidebar but I thought I would place one of each size on my blogs to see what happens.

I have also changed all the ads to Global CPC or something like that. It used to be “minimize” and when I tried to change it, it returned an error so I just left it as that.

I tried again last night after such a long time and they are now all set to Global CPC. I’ll have to see if they will work better for me.

As for joining the exclusive glitterati club, I will have to really think about it.

I am so free lately that a friend suggested that I start an online business. I don’t have an idea what to see and was told to check out a few online stores for inspiration. One of the sites that I was told of is a new age website called The Spiritual Dimension.

I think it’s interesting that they sell items that are said to be spiritual and help us to seek enlightenment. The Spiritual Dimension carries a wide range of spiritual items like cherub decorations, deities and other decorative items like Suncatchers.
