Woowzer… I’ve just got news today that Google has finally overcome the obstacle to overtake DoubleClick for US$3.1 billion. That’s a lot of money, dude!

I am eagerly waiting for this to happen to see what advertising opportunities will be open to us. We international publishers have been sidelined all along so hopefully with the mechanism of Google already in place, we will have more avenues to make money off our blogs.

This morning, I was pissed when I received an email from a marketplace letting me know that they have wrongly assigned me a task and they “do not expect me to keep my post up on my blog”.

Oh hey, where’s my US$20? I did the job and expect to be paid. Bloody pissed off. Really can’t put all our eggs in one basket, you know?

So sad. Earlier today, I discovered that my server was down from 11am until 4.30pm. It could have been down earlier but I didn’t know since I don’t always check my blog.

Anyway, can you imagine the traffic that I lose because of this and hence affecting my RealRank? It’s not as if my RealRank is high but it’s good enough for some higher paying opps but to lose traffic like that for hours and on a work day too really hurts my ranking *sob*

What to do? I’m thinking of changing servers because I have three hosts but I don’t know how to go about it and I do not want to trouble other people. I get disappointed if I seek help but they do not extend their assistance so I’d just like to avoid all these.

The other day, I read in a blog that it is against the terms and conditions to use Ad block beautifier that many people are currently using on their blogs next to these ads. Most of these people use images of sexy women or other misleading images to lure people to click on these adverts.

I told a friend about this who is using this plug-in, and has been using it since he started his blog, though he is not using images of sexy ladies, but he said that he has not faced any problems with using this.

I don’t know about him, if he wants to continue using it even though he knows that he has violated the terms and conditions and then end up being banned, don’t come crying to me 😀 Actually, he is not the only one who violated the ToS of this company. This company has so many hoops to jump through that many people have unknowingly violated them. That’s why I pulled them down from my blogs. Blekkk!

I have been a fan of reality TV since the days of Survivor Season I but with my hectic schedule, I am sure you know that I no longer have time for TV. However, being stuck to the computer for too many hours every day, and night, has its advantages. I can always watch videos of these reality shows on the web.

While my love for reality show may have started with Survivor, I now prefer to watch beautiful people trying to make it big in the modeling world. My current favorite is Make Me a Supermodel hosted by Niki Taylor and Tyson Beckford, two very successful models in their own right.

Since this show is not yet on Malaysian TV as far as I know, I watch them on YouTube. However, I believe that these uploads are sometimes removed before I could catch them because of violation of copyright or something.

This morning, I was told of a website called Reality TV Fan at RealityTVFan.org which hosts all videos of reality TV shows from around the world. Besides Make Me a Supermodel, you can also find Survivor, but of course, The Biggest Loser, Back to Reality, The Mole and many more! You have to go and find out what’s available yourself since the site is updated regularly.

For your information, Reality TV Fan is managed by Viki, a lady from the United Kingdom. While this was started as a private project to keep her video uploads on YouTube organised, Viki has kindly invited all of us reality TV fans to view the videos if we have missed any on TV. As a contributor to YouTube myself, I do understand the amount of time required to upload videos! I really appreciate the trouble that Viki has taken with these reality TV shows. Now we know where to turn to if we need to catch up on an episode or two of any reality TV show.

I have visited many dating sites and am even registered with some of them. If you follow my blog, I am sure you have read a few of my review posts. However, some of my male friends who are still single tell me that they STILL have trouble looking for a partner. Although some people put it down to faith and some will put it down to luck, I think that they have to work harder.

Someone suggested that my friends need Russian brides LOL There’s no way they can get Russian brides except to go through an online dating agency that specializes in Russian and also Ukraine brides.

One thing about Lovers Planet is that they have screened through these girls via telephone to ensure that they are genuine and can speak at least a little English. That makes it a whole lot easier to communicate with them.

It’s been slightly over a week since I was rank spanked on this very blog. Well, I am not surprised that it came but finding out that it happened finally is not easier to take than the first time this happened on my other blogs, especially when I calculate all the opportunities that I will no longer be eligible for.

Humans are like that. We do what we can to put food on the table and hence I still believe that we should not be punished. If the all mighty monster corporation thinks otherwise, then be fair. Hand the same punishment to all of us, or none of us.

They can claim that they are not able to spot ALL of these blogs but we all know that they have ways. Doing this manually with humans on selected blogs are really unfair to the victims, myself being one of them.

Whatever it is, I hope that there will be a solution soon where everyone would be happy once again. If not, we will have to remind ourselves that everything will soon come to pass.

My blogger friend, Fatty, just gave me a proposal and asked me if I would like to join his web project. Well, it is kind of hard for me to agree to participate in his project mainly because it is web building and you know that I do not have any time for any other thing besides my blogs, my ecommerce, my work. Gosh, I don’t even have time to brush my hair.

And firstly, this project shall be community based and we all know where that Robert Chai went. Community based projects are very difficult to take off unless we have a core group of people pushing it every single chance we have. That’s why I never encourage people to start forums when they sought my advice.

Anyway, I really don’t want to dampen his spirits. For one, I wonder who will be the programmer?? It’s web building and designing, something which I do not know how to do!

And like all founders, there will be no monetary rewards at first. Perhaps for the first or second year. That is if the project doesn’t go down the drain first.
