Minimum 400 Words, 2 Images, 3 Links X 2

The other day, I received two sponsored assignments from an advertiser via email and I took a glance at the payout rate and was quite happy with it. I did not have time to work on them at once. In the evening when I wanted to write them, I nearly passed out when I read the requirements.

Yes, the advertiser wanted at least 400 words, 2 images and three links, and I received TWO assignments. Each for $10 (only). Urghh! Normally, I would NOT take up assignments from advertisers with ridiculous requirements but since these were emailed to me, I took them because rejecting them may jeopardise my position with the company and they may not send me assignments next time. Haiihhh

I just wish that advertisers would not take advantage of the system where we are sent assignments and I would feel bad about declining, just in case, you know? If and when they want to nitpick, they can!

Anyway, I did them submitted and they are approved. So let’s just wait for 30 days for the payment to come in.

Buy/Sell Blog Comments

I have known of this service since it first started. I can understand why people would want to buy them because as a blog for pay blogger with multiple blogs and coming up with multiple sponsored and non-sponsored posts daily, it leaves me no time at all to network. Of course, networking is crucial in building back links and hence, upping my Page Rank and authority.

The thing is, I find that t is actually a waste of money for the buyers when blog owners do not approve these blog comments to be published. I personally had to reject tens of such comments. I know the person tries to be as genuine as possible in his comment but not when it is the same person leaving multiple comments with odd product names.

I find that if people are looking to build links pointing back to their commercial site they are better off buying blog posts from bloggers like me. This way, the company would have its share of exposure, one way links and blog real estate, instead of having the link tucked in some comment section, if it was allowed to be published, even if the blog has implemented Do Follow.

What are your thoughts?

In Post vs. Sidebar Link

I recently bought a new domain name and of course, the first thing I did was to link up my new baby from my blogs. What I noticed is that I received an almost instant ping back from blogs that I linked to IN POST while the blogs that I linked to from the sidebar were not picked up yet.. or maybe AT ALL. Anyway, that’s just my little observation.

Perhaps, it is because the blogs that I linked this new domain name from the sidebar are Blogger blogs while those I linked to in post are own hosted blogs where I have a long list of ping services entered in my control panel that caused this almost instant Ping back detection. Blogger does not have this feature, as far as I know, though I have checked the option about Pinging from my Blogger admin page.

Anyway, I am going to try this little experiment a few more times and see what happens and if my deduction is right.

Writing Funny On Purpose

Recently, I have been trying to write all my posts in a search engine friendly way even when I am not writing sponsored posts. Sometimes you will find me repeating some words, sometimes I word my sentence awkwardly. The only thing that I haven’t done is to spell my words wrongly on purpose hahaha!

After checking my the traffic log of my blogs, I see most of my traffic coming from search engines and I am trying to do a little experiment, writing in a way that I think people will search using the keywords that I have used in my posts.

Doing this experiment, I am hoping that I could garner more traffic and ultimately, readers who would return. I know some people may not like my sponsored posts, even though I am trying my best to keep it at 50% at the most, but then some people do think that sponsored posts have value too. Besides, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do!

Fuel My Blog & BlogWorld Expo

Two weeks ago, I wrote about a contest that CrispAds is running in conjunction with BlogWorld Expo. A couple of days ago, I received an email update from Fuel My Blog and they are also running a contest where the winner will win a free 2-day pass to BlogWorld Expo.

It is very exciting to know that Fuel My Blog will have a blog bus to BlogWorld Expo in Las Vegas from San Francisco and it looks like it is open to any Fuel My Blog blogger who is interested in a ride and not like PayPerPost‘s Orlando to Las Vegas bus where they will only select one or two lucky bloggers, if I did not read wrongly, if my memory serves me right and if the plans did not change. Yep, I think I have got my ass covered now!

Fuel My Blog always have exciting contests going on and if you are not a member then you re missing on lots of goodies. My only hope is that I have the time to drop by and participate in their forum *sigh*

Exploring Money Making Opportunities With AndrewTalk

Look what I discovered this morning! It is a new blog that helps us to earn money online. Yes, this is a passion of mine. Otherwise, why do I run a string of blogs? Haha! Although AndrewTalk.com is a new blog, it is already filled with valuable content on the various websites and programs that pay.

One thing I would like to point out is that E*Trade may not work for people living outside the United States to withdraw money from their PayPal account. This is because a couple of months ago, E*Trade has a new policy where people living outside the United States will have their E*trade account held by their branch office in Hong Kong.

Moreover, they no longer provide the debit card for such account holders. I know, because I too have an E*Trade account that is held by E*Trade Hong Kong and is most definitely useless when it comes to linking it to PayPal. E*Trade will only work if the applicant can get an account held by E*Trade USA, but with their new policy to curb such a misuse, it is almost impossible now.

Anyway, there are many other money making opportunities discussed on AndrewTalk and I would be spending more time checking them out. I can’t be blogging forever, you know? I would love to expand and improve on the performance of my passive income streams.

Andrew mentioned that he just turned 21 on 1st September. Happy Birthday, Andrew! I am impressed that for a guy so young, he is thinking so far ahead. Let’s join Andrew to learn and explore the many possibilities of monetizing our blogs and earning some money online! If others can earn a five-figure income per month just by blogging, so can we!

SEVEN Blogs – ENOUGH!!!!

Oh my goodness! I have been blogging non stop these few days that I feel like giving up! With seven active blogs, I am not sure that there are many people who could handle it. The problem with all these blogs is that I do not have the time to spare to build backlinks and improve on my Google Page Rank. I know, I should just improve on it and not start more blogs.

I know of people with more blogs that myself but I only feel comfortable if I have at least ten spare posts tucked in drafts so even if I have no assignments to complete, I would still be blogging away beefing up my back up posts!

These few days, I have been publishing at least ten posts per blog and at this pace, I am going to wear myself down. I need a break from blogging!

Apart from these seven active blogs, I still have four passion blogs that I kept as a hobby which are dormant now and a group blog that I am supposed to contribute to occasionally but where do I have the time??
