Almost a month ago, I wrote the post “Too Lazy To Write“. Well, the problem is getting more and more severe. As soon as I published my post, I already got a Ping from them.

I read that I could block their IP address and they would not be able to scrap my content, but I don’t know how to go about it and I also read that once we ban an IP, other legitimate readers who are sharing the same band of IP would also be similarly banned. Another way is to add a footer to our RSS feed but that does not prevent scrapers to steal your content but just stamp your copyright.

Although many people have been saying they love their own WordPress-powered blog yadda, yadda, yadda, these are the targets of scrapper sites (or splogs) I don’t face this problem or get flooded with spam comment on Blogger!

We can’t win, can we?

Today, I woke up to a higher Alexa number. Ptui! It was broken for almost one week and that week was an Alexa-worry-free week! No longer did we have to keep checking if our Alexa qualifies for something or not.

And when it stood at 18x,xxx recently, I had to take screen shots of my ranking when I take up opportunities from the marketplace in case of dispute because I know that by the time one month is up my rank will probably go above 199,999 where the cut off rank is. And now, because of this, I would be locked out of many high paying opportunities ON TOP of being segmented out due to geographical location.

And there has been an upward revision of some of my other blogs as well. It is strange that the drop could be so sudden and steep when I do not see a drop in visitors. Were their visits not being recorded when Alexa was down last week? That could be a reason.

BOOOOOO!!!!

There was a dry spell of paid posting over last weekend and I was so bored out of my mind looking for something to blog about so I logged into this marketplace. I remember that I only had ten miserable items on my list and the first one that caught my eye was for a post on alternative plastic surgery.

Suffice to say, after checking out the website of the advertiser, I nearly threw up my dinner and could not bring myself to blog about it.

After one year in this, I thought that I could blog about anything with eyes closed. I’ve talked about boob jobs, nose jobs, liposculpture, “Viagra” and visited just about any website and I hope I did a good job with each and every post that I wrote and given the sponsors due value and exposure but to write about plastic surgery down south, I could not do it, besides the fact that I do not have an appropriate blog for that no matter how I spin it.

And to think that I could not write it although I am a girl when I see so many other people, GUYS no less, who happily wrote about this topic without feeling anything.

This morning, I accepted a task that should have gone to a more appropriate blog but now it will be on a wrong blog and although some people may not have any qualms about posting any and all topics on their blogs, I try to be as tight as possible when it comes to my niche blogs.

If it was a general blog, I would feel differently because over at my general blog, I write everything on it and they all will fit in without a problem.

Sigh, I know I can write into Customer Service but I like to get my pending tasks completed instantly and not waste time waiting for a reply for my ticket. By the way, I submitted a ticket to them many months ago and it was not replied to so I would rather not write in for this and spend the next couple of days waiting instead of blogging.

So I guess I will have to make an exception this time and hope I will not repeat the same mistake. Sleepless nights will do this to me o.O”

I was just talking to a friend and she told me that she is raising her white flag for being asked to write posts that do not allow her an iota of creativity. In one of my posts a long time ago, I mentioned that free form posts rule. I find that even for me, I do one of the best works in free form posts as long as I smoothly and successfully worked the required links into the posts until nobody would even notice them!

Those re the kinds of post I like because I could incorporate personal stories into them and even though it may have links in the posts here and there, they re a part of my own life and what I would generally blog about anyway.

Guided posts are always hard to write and seem stiff. I know that I am not the only one feeling so!

Well, I have wanted to write this post for the longest time but never had the chance to really sit down and put my thoughts into words. Hah I have been THAT busy!

The thing that makes me check my stats is not because I get a high when my traffic hits a spike but it is those days that make me look for the source of referral. Not too long ago, a local media site unexpectedly linked to me and THAT forced me to change my ABOUT page because my family reads that media site DAILY!

You can imagine that I kept praying for the day to be over so that new articles would be published to replace the one that has my link on it. EEEkkkk I cannot imagine letting my family members read my blog. That is unthinkable!!

I know many people would think nothing about letting everyone knows their blog address, in fact, the more the merrier but I prefer to keep an anonymous identity on the internet separately from my real life.

Somehow I cannot bring myself to blong on ANYTHING if people who are close to me read my blog. Gah!!!

Heh what a surprised to wake up this morning and be told that I am fabulous? I don’t know how fabulous I am and I know that I totally AM NOT but then it is a great feeling to know that someone thinks that I am.
