30-day Old Blogs Too Young

What do you think of the new TOS of TigaP where they will accept blogs that are only as young as thirty days with only ten existing posts? I think that this is a desperate measure by TigaP to counter the numerous member blogs that have been sandboxed by Big G so they need to replenish their inventory with young, virgin blogs.

I ask you, I am sure you have started blogs before. Thirty days, what sort of value can this young blog give to the advertiser? I have started many blogs and I tell you, building content and traffic is not easy at all. The difference between me and other bloggers is that I never let my family and real friends know of my blogs and I do not join any community or am I part of a clique. Also, I do not go avisting to other blogs because I have no time.

So, what others can do in thirty days, perhaps I require sixty or ninety days but to be honest, you cannot do much with a blog that is only thirty days old. All the stats will be horrible and who wants to advertise on such a blog knowing that the risk of this blog being killed upon the next update is high?

Yahoo! I’m Gila!

Tell me I am not mad. I have decided to revive three of my old blogs, blogs that I abandoned about a year ago when I became too busy to update them. Yesterday, I had a little free time on my hands, after having finished 90% of my four new blogs and still have not found the inspiration to complete the other 10%.

This last part is the hardest to do because I would have to troubleshoot and find out why my Search function isn’t working, code in the EDIT link to my index.php and single.php and also build a page for category.php and archive.php. How can the theme creator miss out these two very important elements of a blog with good page structure, right?

All these may sound like peanuts to experienced CSS coders but for me, these are far harder to do than building a rocket. SIGH!!

After finished updating my eleven blogs, I decided to revive these three old ones. Aren’t I sot-sot-dei? And I still have not set up my iPhone wallpaper website!

Isn’t It Funny?

Last night, a friend told me to go to the blog of a rather prominent blogger to read a particular post. Well, since I was already there, I decided to read the first couple of pages of his blog.

Well, well, well, I discovered that in one of his posts, he mentioned something that I wrote about earlier. I guess he came to my blog and read my post but did not leave a comment but published a post on his own blog.

My point in my post was that a widget was missing from my blog. However, he twisted my words and said instead, that I whined for not getting payment from this particular internet marketing affiliate program, which is total bull shit.

Sure, I many not have cashed out even my first cheque but the point is, how can my widget get lost on my blog when it was there re first and now it isn’t? I didn’t even remove the codes that I have embedded. Isn’t that strange?

And isn’t it funny that some people for want of content, can whack another blogger by twisting her words? Yea… and he dares say that he’s God-fearing.

Blog Setup Status: Completed

So I finally, completed the set up of my blogs last night. I was very happy but my eyes were crossed. Too bad. I have a list of blogs to update. I have so many things to talk about but I just can’t seem to find the time.

Even though my blogs are “nice” now when you just browse through casually, there are still things that are not working right, like the three that have their Search function broken as I mentioned earlier today. Another theme, on the other hand, does not have an Archive or Categories page. I know this could be set up but I have to figure out HOW to set the pages up first.

I guess I will only do so along with the Search function later when I have slightly more free time to tinker with the codes. You know how I am with CSS coding. It could take me easily one day and then some!

For the next couple of days, I would have to update my blogs. I’ve neglected them, once again. :(

Very Happy!!!!

Today, I am so happy. One of my blog posts received more than 800 unique visitors from search engines alone. It is too bad that I have removed all my AdSense codes from all my blogs. In their spots, I have placed Advertlets ad codes instead.

And do you know what? From all these visitors and only one click on the ad, I earned more than RM3.00. You know how I always complained that I am getting only RM0.001 – RM0.005 a day even with clicks, this time I got RM3 for one day. I can’t believe it.

Of course, I still think that it is very low and too bad that it’s now the month of February and they no longer pay us double to compensate us for the fiasco earlier in the year or I would have earned RM6 instead. Well, that’s more like it!

And I could have earned more if I had placed ad codes on my virgin blog, A blog that I have no intention to place any ads at all. Oh well, how long will this surge in traffic last? I hope at least a week so that I can bask in the glory for a little while longer!

Lost My Momentum In Blogging

With the enforced break from working at the computer for a couple of days, I have lost my momentum in blogging and have gotten lazy. I know I have a stack of blogs to maintain and a list of post to write but I am just totally lazy. I get sleepy when I face the monitor. Ha what a great excuse to finally get an LCD screen!

My friend told me to stay away from my work and take a couple of days off to refresh myself and come back more energetic in February but that was exactly what I told myself a month ago, that I would start to work hard come January, 2008 and I really did slacked.

So it’s the end of January already and with so much down time, I really cannot afford to get another couple of days off already! I hope hthat I would be able to get the bulk of my work done before Chinese New Year.

One Down Four To Go

If you have been following my blog, you would know that I recently set up four new blogs, one website and a personal website. Well, the personal website is almost done and one blog is completed. The other three blogs are way behind schedule already no thanks to going ten days without Streamyx broadband internet, and then two days when my PC gave up on me and a couple of hours without electricity. Tell me that I am not being played by “something”!

See, how could I work? I know that the reason I subscribed to Celcom 3G is as a back up in case of something like this happening but then I could hard use it because I was too busy calling up Streamyx Careline and arguing with them that the problem is not over at my end!!

No matter how great having 3G is, it still does not beat having the dedicated Streamyx line connected to my desktop computer. At least my connection does not break when I have an incoming call or SMS text!
