Have You Heard of Centrinads?

I came across this blog called Centrinads, the place where bloggers make money easily. How? Just by commenting on the posts. Is that easy enough?

From what I see, this blog is very new. It only has ten posts but once you are a registered member, membership is free, by the way, just comment on those posts and your account will be credited with US$0.60. Sometimes the payout is higher, depending on the post.

Once you have accumulated a minimum of US$10, you will be paid automatically to your PayPal. If you think that US$0.60 is a little low, just do the Math. How long does it take to read a blog post and leave a relevant comment?

My Broken Theme

A couple of days ago, I read in a blog that we have to host our own images when we download a theme from the author’s site. I think that with WordPress themes, we do not have such a problem as we would be uploading all images to our server but the same cannot be said for Blogger themes.

Anyway, this blogger said that we have to host our own images, particularly got Blogger blog themes since the author’s site can go down, could be removed or the author could have accidentally deleted the images.

After reading that post, I made a mental note that I shall get this done since I remember that I do have an image that still is hosted by the theme author. It’s just a tiny little image in the shape of a heart, by the way.

Well, little did I know that my procrastination would lead me to lose my little image. The server of the theme author seems to have gone down for a long time now. I discovered it this morning when I accessed my blog. The theme is broken now all thanks to my laziness to get the image and host it myself :(

I hope that this is just a temporary glitch and when it is back online, you can bet that I will save that image and upload it to my own server!

12-hours of Non-Traffic

I guess I should not complain about my server going down on me again a couple of days ago but going down for twelve hours was really too long. My Real Rank koyak again and it’s kind of funny to see how my numbers fluctuate depending on how my server holds up.

A very simple solution would be to change servers but how does one do that? How long will it take to get my blog online once again. How many hours will my blogs be DOWN?

Some of my friends are hosting their blogs on virtual private servers and it’s not cheap and yet I still hear them say that their server goes down, just that it doesn’t go down as often as mine!

Sometimes I wonder if I should just let go of my free hosting and move to a more professional webhost to alleviate the stress that I experience each time my blog goes down. But then I have learnt to take things easier now. As long as my blogs are online once again, I am safe!

Where Are The Nice Blogger Templates / Skins?

I’ve spent the past week lazily surfing the internet looking for templates, layouts, skins or whatever we call them for my Blogger blogs. I have a total of five Blogger blogs that I would like to give a new look. I am already bored with the current ones and they are loading slowly as well so it’s time to do a housecleaning.

I thought that it would be great if I could only clean them up when I change my template but it’s taking so long because I could not find anything nice for them!

I don’t want any theme that has a huge banner. It just takes up too much blog real estate and causes the blog to load at a snail’s pace.

Do you know where I could look for themes for Blogger blogs? It looks like I have searched everywhere but I still can’t find anything suitable. Call me fussy :(

How To Back Up Blogger Blogs?

With three Blogger blogs with more than a thousand posts per blog, I have been wondering how to back up our Blogger Blogs. Actually, I wanted to do it a long time ago but I could not find the time.

Recently, this became rather urgent when I read that some people had their Blogger blogs totally erased. Isn’t that scary???

I did a search around the web and came across solutions to back up our Blogger blogs. So I tried them out but either they were unable to back up all my posts or the utility was too difficult for me to use. You know lah, I’m such a noob!

Does anyone know of a really easy way to back up our Blogger blogs? I don’t mind if I have to do it each time I publish a new post. That’s what I do with my WordPress blogs, anyway.

PR0 So Hard To Cari Makan

I’m still smarting with all the eggs that I have been slapped with. The sting is when my friends with blog that still have a rank let me know that a certain place is full of opportunities and I could not see any!

How can this be so unfair? Like I have stressed, slap us all or not at all.

If you are a regular blog hopper, I am sure you can see that there are plenty of blogs that are filled with paid posts and STILL carry a high page rank. OK, I’m just being sour. SIGH :(

I hope that I will be blessed, yes, BLESSED with a page rank again and soon too! Blekkk

Some Bloggers Banned

One of the paid to blog marketplaces issued a notice a couple of days ago that they have banned some greedy bloggers who used bots to catch offers. It became so bad that it caused their server to crash.

We all know how difficult it is to reserve some offers, what with the time difference, the unpredictable times that these offers are released on to the marketplace and the slow server each time offers are released.

Still, we all take what we could get but it is unfair that there are some people who think it is worthwhile to resort to bots to grab these offers. No matter how many they managed to grab, they would still have to submit them within 48 hours. Where do they find the time?

This issue reminds me of the time where people were accusing other members of using scripts to grab opportunities. Well, now we have plenty of measures in place to counter that and frankly, it is still as difficult to land a good opportunity.
