Super Cute Girly Blogger Template

I finally found a really cute girly template for Blogger but what I am afraid when it comes to messing with my template is the customizations. No matter how nice the templates are created, there will surely be things that I would prefer to be in a way that I like. This means that no template is perfect out of the box.

Right now, I do not have the time to implement the new template but all the while, I am keeping my eyes peeled for cute Blogger templates for girls. I have five Blogger blogs that I am waiting for a revamp which I will surely take the time to do if I can find a Blogger template that I like.

I wonder why template creators do not create some really cute templates. It is so difficult to describe because I am no designer myself but I know GOOD when I see it. If only I could design ……

Social Spark Given The Thumbs Up

A certain someone in “man of authority” gave Social Spark the thumbs up for its disclosure to humans and search engine. In principle, that is the best of all paid to post marketplaces. There’s no denying that.

However, as a publisher, I don’t see anything good to share about Social Spark. I have blogs that I would like to take up the opportunities at Social Spark and at the same time comply with the code of ethics of the search engines but I am not going to submit them then I am never going to find work there.

The reason that I hardly log into my Social Spark account is that sorting of opportunities is awful and takes up more than half a day. The results do not stick and I end up with the same list over and over again.

It’s bad enough that living in Asia, I am excluded from the majority of the opportunities but do I also have to waste time trying to keep them off my list?

As far as I can recall, Social Spark is the ONLY place that has earned me $0. I hope that they will be more user-friendly so that I don’t feel like I’m being banged against a wall each time I try to search for an OPEN and AVAILABLE opportunity.

Aussie Foodies

I am in the midst of helping a friend beef up his database of publishers for his new advertising company which helps publishers sell their web or blog spaces to really niche advertisers.

His target publishers are Australians or publishers living in Australia and the kind of quality websites or blogs that he is looking for include chef websites, wine websites, gourmet sites, recipe blogs, cooking blogs, restaurant review blogs, eating out, home cooking blogs and any other along this “food” theme.

I know I wrote about this before but it’s getting pretty exciting now that we are closer to the launch date which is the 1st of July. I rather enjoy myself surfing to all the food blogs and look at those appetizing photos of food, food and more food. I just started a recipe collection blog and going to all these more established foodie blogs have given me a pretty solid idea on how to beef up traffic for my new recipe collection blog.

Now I just need to find time to implement them!

Addicted To Blogging

I love doing quizzes to see how addicted to blogging I am, even though with twenty blogs, I cannot be not addicted, you know?

If I were not actually typing out my thoughts (direct blogging), I would be doing something related to blogging like looking for themes or changing them or upgrading my copy of WP or upgrading plug-ins or replying to comments or reading blogs or looking for interesting blog fodder.

The list goes on and on …. and I am surprised that I am ONLY 80% addicted according to this quiz. 😀 What about you? How addicted to blogging are you?

Celebrating 100,000 Spam Comments

Gosh, I have so much spam comments on my blog that at first, I had intended to publish a post to “celebrate” my spam for hitting the magical 100,000 figure but with a click of the DELETE ALL SPAM button, my Spam comment count went way more than the 100,000 number. Well, maybe I should celebrate that I have surpassed my initial target. SIGH!

If you have been waiting for me to moderate and approve your comment, I am sorry, it must have contributed towards this spam count. Well, I already mentioned that I do not publish comments from people who parse their foreign website or blogs so if you would like a little link juice, at least parse your English blog, or not at all.

What will my nest spam target number be? It would be… TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND! Stay tuned!

The Launch of iHype.com

If you are a blog for pay blogger then I am sure you are familiar with getting paid to publish posts on your blog on things that you love writing about yet at the same time creating a buzz for advertisers.

Well, lately, I have been hearing about how the industry is drying up and how there are not enough opportunities to go around. I KNOW I have been one of those who whined [a little] too but I was told to wait till iHype.com launches.

Now, guess what? iHype.com has launched in Beta and this is a module that I am VERY familiar with. First of all, this site just launched so do not expect to just jump in and start making money.

Create a free publisher account, if you are a blogger, and add in your sites and blogs. When they are approved, you can start checking for opportunities, posting them and earn by blogging. I don’t know how many bloggers or advertisers already know of iHype.com but it could possibly be the industry’s best kept secret. I am supposed to be on the ball when it comes to blogging for pay, yet I did not know about it until iHype.com is launched!

I have already submitted my blogs, hopefully I can start earning through iHype.com soon.

Blogging Is More Than Just Writing

Over the long Memorial weekend holiday, I haven’t blogged much if at all. Well, I don’t really have the mood to blog because my traffic for all my blogs which recently moved servers has dwindled drastically. Now I know that even if I moved servers and retained my old permalinks, I would still get a lot of broken links in the search engine.

When my traffic was exceptionally low, I checked with the major search engines found them littered with broken links for all affected blogs. No wonder I noticed a drastic drop in traffic numbers for the past two weeks. I expect this to improve in a month or two when cached pages on the search engines are updated.

Anyway, while I did not blog, it did not mean that I didn’t do anything related to blogging. What I spend the past three days doing was to tag my old posts on one of my blogs. There was a total of 95 posts, I tell you, one can go crazy doing that!

I also went searching for WordPress themes, implemented four of them and customised them to my liking. They are not perfect but they will have to do for the time being. I will have to “close one eye” until I have a clue on what to do with the CSS codes!

I also went clearing up all my spam comments and deleted all my blog subscribers. And then I closed registration for blog subscribers. This is to prevent my blogs from being spammed due to a vulnerability in the registration of WordPress.

I guess that was all that I did… eh, but I thought I was so busy though. When putting these in writing, it did not seem that accomplished too much over the long weekend holiday! GGggrrrrrr
