Weirdest Keywords

I have written a few thousand sponsored posts that I should not be surprised with the requirements of sponsors anymore. I get the weirdest keywords that are really awkward to fit into a post that I normally write because although my English is not perfect, the least I could do is make sure that my post has a smooth flow, my punctuations are in place and my spelling is fine, except for one or two that escaped Spell Checker.

However, a couple of nights ago, I was assigned a task that I don’t really know if the sponsor made a mistake or if he seriously wanted that. The keyword was supposed to be “Business to Business” but the spelling that was given to me was “Buisness to Buisness”.

I know that some people do spell “Business” as “Buisness” but to search for “Buisness to Buisness” instead of “Business to Business” would be extremely weird.

Well, as a professional, I left the spelling as it is and hope that they don’t come back to me to say that they made a mistake and wanted it change. I don’t have the time to back track my posts.

Learn To Dance Like A Pro

Not too long ago, I wrote that a neighbor of mine is a ballroom dance instructor but he is old, already in his seventies. That is why I never took lessons from him even though I really want to learn ballroom dancing.

Recently, I watched some old dance movies again like Grease, Fame and Take The Lead and they again fueled my desire to learn dancing. So far, I have been putting it off because I could not find an instructor and I think I am too old and stiff to dance. However, I realize that these are just stumbling blocks that I placed upon myself.

About a week ago, I was told of this website called Dance Crazy, which is actually an online store that carries instructional videos in DVD format for just about any dance, from Samba to Country to Ballroom. I was surprised that they even have Ballet instructional videos!

It is also a resource site with the history for each dance and the music plus a video preview of each dance. One of the previews I watched was the Bachata Dance. Boy, I would really love to learn THAT!

I love the fact that their videos cater to dance enthusiasts from all levels from beginner level onwards and that the instructors are professional dancers themselves as well.

I think that learning by video is a great option for people like me who are born with two left feet and we would rather learn something like dancing in private and at our own pace. Besides, these instructional videos are way cheaper than going to dance classes where the fees are charged by the hour.

Zorpia

I am sure many people are already members of Zorpia or at least heard of it. I have received invitations to join Zorpia for ages now but have been trashing them. You all know how I don’t like to join all these social networks and see no point of doing so and hate the extra set of website, log in ID and password to remember.

However, today, I received yet another invitation and since I have nothing better to do, I decided to check it out. To my surprise, from the statistics at the point of writing this post, Zorpia has more than seven million members, more than ten thousand people signed up yesterday and there were more than four thousand people online at the same time. These are astounding numbers.

The weird this is that the “conveyor belt” or whatever you call that strip that moves automatically has most recently updated profiles of ALL Malaysian members until I thought that this was a Malaysian site. What’s up? Just because I am in Malaysia, does that mean I would not be interested to view the profiles of other members or is it really only Malaysians who are this active at this time of the night on Zorpia?

So I checked Zorpia’s About page to see where this site is based in and to my further surprise, they are based in Hong Kong and the founder and CEO is Jeffery Ng. *slurp* NG is not a common Hongkie family name so I’m guessing he was originally from Malaysia 😀 or Singapore.

Perhap’s I’ll join Zorpia after all *slurp* 😀

Seeking Debt Relief and Credit Card Consolidation

While surfing the internet this afternoon, I remember that a friend of mine has told me that he is in dire straits financially. Well, frankly, I am sick of people pouring their financial problems on me. I have the same problems to take care of and I do not need to share their problems and burden too.

However, I recall visiting a website not too long ago which has pointers on seeking Debt Relief. I thought I should let the friend read all about it and see how best he can apply the tips on his own situation.

The first step I advised him though, is to get Credit Card Consolidation. I know he holds numerous credit cards and I never saw the point of it. His excuse was that he applied for them to help his friends meet the quota of selling credit cards.

I am all for helping friends out but not to the point of getting myself into trouble too. When he holds so many cards, at the back of his mind, he is thinking that whatever purchases he has charged on his cards does not have to be taken care of. Hah! If only that was true!

Well, the information is already present to him and if he wants to get rid of debt fast, he should follow the advice given to him.

Click To Donate

While searching for some information on the internet, I came upon a non-profit charitable site that encourages visitors to click on the advertisements and the revenue generated from this activity will be channelled to various charitable bodies or a specific cause that is championed by the website.

Actually, I have known of this kind of “click to donate” sites a long time ago and it is not a new concept but since I stumbled on it a few days ago, I was reminded of what we can contribute in a small way to charitable causes just by doing our normal thing: Surfing the internet.

The problem with me is that I never remember to go to these sites to click on the advertisements. I wrote in a previous post that I have to open more than thirty sites each time I turn my computer on and this number does not even include the blogs that I read occasionally.

I think I need to place all these Click to Donate sites to my bookmarks and access them daily or else I will forget again. Getting old *sigh*

Searching For Used Cars Online

Some of you may know that I have been looking for a used car for many months now. In fact, I have visited many dealers of Used Cars locally but have yet to find one that suits my budget and meets my needs. I know I am fussy but then even used cars don’t come cheap enough for me that is why I have to be as discerning as possible when it comes to shopping for sometime as large as a car!

I was told to check online for Used Cars to get a better variety. I wonder why I never thought of it before! A long time ago, I was introduced to Auto Guide so that was where I went to start my search for used cars.

This site is rather comprehensive in its database of used cars. While I have been to a few used cars sites only, I find that Auto Guide is very friendly to search for our dream used cars. You didn’t think that used cars can be our dream cars too, did you?

Through Auto Guide, I was able to quickly narrow down my choices based on my car manufacturer, car model and year it was manufactured and one that fits my budget and also in my vicinity. I did not see a point in looking for a car that suits me only to find out later that it is half a world away, so to speak.

In any case, I would continue to search Auto Guide to see if there are new additions to their used car database before making a final decision.

Network! Network!! Network!!!

Urhg… blogging on so many blogs of my own and as a member of a group blog practically leaves me no time at all to network. Well, I could manage my blogs AND network if I were in this full time but I still have a job to keep and other household responsibilities that I can’t be sitting here the whole day. I am already sitting here THE WHOLE NIGHT haha! 😀

At times like these when I am overwhelmed with blogging and yet realise that I should spend more time to network, I can certainly understand why some people are buying comments, but only relevant comments that are on topic.

Sometimes I think that I am better off trying to raise my Page Rank but that doesn’t look like it’s coming anytime soon, either.
