TEN Long Days

Sometime back, I wrote a post about an advertiser who wanted a post to stay as the first post for twenty four hours. Of course, those who are using “Sticky” could place that particular post at the top of the blog but then it may cause confusion and misunderstanding so why should one risk it?

Anyway, I thought that was rather drastic of the advertiser to seek extra exposure like that. Little did I know that there would be an advertiser who would want his post as the first post of the blog for TEN full days and all for $10.

I can understand about trying to obtain maximum exposure but there is always a limit and ten days is not it. Can you believe that?

I couldn’t even commit to the 24-hour time frame, let alone ten freaking long days. Besides, it’s not as if he’s paying enough for me not to blog at all and I am not only talking about paid posts here!

If I were to stop blogging for ten whole days, I would have to be paid enough to get a trip out to Las Vegas, Paris or somewhere!

It’s very common to hear of people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol but do you know of anyone who suffers from Addiction to painkillers? A friend of mine was involved in a major accident that caused him a lot of pain. However, as time passed, my friend’s scars healed and yet he had the fear that should he stop taking the painkillers, he would be in terrible pain again. So that was how he ended up being addicted to painkillers but luckily all’s well, ends well.

Some Links Have To Go

Well, I am sorry, but some links on my sidebar will have to go. After all plummeting Page Rank, where I see many people taking off their sidebars just to save their own ass, I will be doing the same. However, my sidebar blogroll stays only for people who still have my link on their blog. Those who have selfishly removed me from their blogroll even though we have made a pack or agreed on a reciprocal link back will be treated the same.

Actually, I am very disappointed with such people but then, this isn’t the first time already. I tend to think that everyone would stick to their word or something. Now I just need to find time to get down to those blogrolls. I know that it would not make a difference this time round but then revenge is sweet.

Have to be patient!

Kauai: More Hawaiian Travel Information

Lately, I have been introduced to lots of Hawaiian travel information. This is because a few of my friends have already made plans to visit Hawaii at the end of the year with their families and I am full of envy!

I understand that it’s not that expensive to take a Hawaiian Vacation Kailua and we could share of the cost when we travel in a group, including the laughter and memories. I always prefer group travel so that we can share our experience.

My friends told me that one of the ways to cut down cost is to make reservations for Kauai Vacation Rentals which also offers extra comfort and privacy instead of conventional hotels where they will be milling with tourists!

I had the opportunity to view plenty of interesting photos of Kauai from the Kauai Travel Blog and they all scream “WISH YOU WERE HERE!!!”

I certainly will try my best to go. Gypsy has invited me numerous times!

How Much Time?

How much time do you spend fighting spam every day? I think that with four WordPress blogs, I am spending at least THREE hours going through my Spam folder trying to pick up legitimate comments from there. I have tried to De-Spam the same people over and over again and yet the same problem occurs. I think it has something to do with Akismet or WordPress loophole.

Sometimes I get so angry with the wasted time that I just want to click DELETE ALL without checking the eleven pages of spam but then I would feel bad if my comment received a similar treatment. I don’t want any misunderstanding.

But sometimes I think that I should just close comments!

I know I have written a few posts on spam comment and if you have read them you would know why it is such a big issue to me. However, today, I went to a blog and saw the Spam counter with more than a million spam comments. Oh my god

Modeling Clay As A Form Of Therapy

My friend asked me if I know of any place that sells Modeling clays. I don’t know but as always, I consult the internet. After asking a few people who are into pottery, they told me to check out the website of Amaco.

On the website of Amaco, one can find so many different types of clay and arts and crafts materials which are suitable as educational material for children too because of their high quality and chemical-free material.

Some of my friends bought Ceramic Clays for their children to play with and the kids really love to see their ideas turn into shape with the clay. Also, modeling clays are inexpensive and could be modeled by hand so these are easy for younger children.

Now that I have found a good source of modeling clay, I think that I would get some of these as Christmas gifts for friends with young children. Come to think of it, modeling clays would be ideal for senior citizens as a form of therapy as well.
