Two Rejections

I received a couple of rejections last week through no fault of mine. So my blog dropped in rank but if the advertisers wanted a higher ranking blog then don’t show me those particular advertorials so that I can’t copy them to my blog.

And the funny thing is that I was given a chance to revise my ads and the note that came with the rejections went like this: Improve on your rank and reapply.

My goodness, does she think that I’m a god or something that I could just “improve” like that? If I could raise the ranks of blogs and sites with my magic wand I would have done it last life.

Anyway, I hope to be able to grab two more ads before the month is up so that I could maximize on my quota. Haihhh what an eventful the past two weeks have been. Events that we don’t ever want repeated.

I’m On Too Many Mailing Lists

A friend got a surprised when he took a peek at my mailbox and saw that almost all the email that I received is a marketing email. Well, I signed up to a handful of Mailing Lists and I have a special email box for that.

I like to be informed of the happenings of ecommerce stores, broker’s lists, internet marketer’s database and what not. That’s because I want to have the news sent to me via email instead of going all over the internet reading. It saves a lot of time.

I read that there’s a company that specializes in selling mailing lists so that companies can reach out to the people who really want the information. Companies who buy such lists see a higher return in incoming links and a better conversion in sales.

It’s An Avalanche

Last evening, I received the very bad news from a blogging buddy of mine that the ranking one of her blogs fell by another notch. And here we thought that we have had the last of the spankings for this round.

Anyway, I feel for her. She and I are both at the bottom of the totem pole now and there’s nothing that we could do about it except to start more fresh blogs.

I have a feeling that this new downgrade that she experienced last evening was made manually and not an automated process. I am just trying to keep calm and keeping my fingers crossed that there will be no more of this in the coming months or it will be very hard for us.

Hey, don’t begrudge us for making a living, OK?

If You Do Not See Your Comment

I’d just like to clarify that if you do not see your comment being published, then I am sorry that I may have mistakenly deleted it from my Spam Comment Folder. I tell you, I feel myself getting old, just sitting here deleting pages and pages of spam comment. Is there anyone with more than ten pages of spam within a couple of hours??

I don’t know what I have done for my blog to deserve this but no way am I going to waste anymore time going through them UNLESS I see that someone has left me a comment on my Stats Tracker, or if a message is left to my via my Contact Form.

My spam comment count is already almost 40,000 and still counting. Before long, I will over take that person with more than a million comments. Who wants to bet??

Pushing For A Password Management Solution

My friend tells me that the reason he drinks and smokes and not able to kick these bad habits because of work stress. He works in the IT department of his company, you see, and is in charged of the administration security of the department and company as a whole.

According to him, there are quite a number of individuals sharing that password and it’s his responsibility to make sure that the password is not misused and changed regularly. He told me that some of the staff could be rather careless and should anything untoward happen, he would be the one to get it from the bosses.

This budget, he is going to push for a password keeper solution that he said would make his job a lot easier. At least, most things would be automated and his job would be to ensure that the appliance works well and comply with certain regulations.

I hope that for his sake, his company would be more forward thinking and not calculate the cost so much.

Nudie Jeans Making A Splash

A friend asked me to check out the online boutique at Tobi.com. She said that there are nudie there and I did not know what she meant :-) Turns out that they are actually jeans. Yes, you heard me right!

Tobi.com also carries a brand name called Seven For All Mankind, or just Sevens for short. This is apparently based on the belief that the average American owns seven pairs of jeans. I do not know if it means seven pairs of jeans at any one time or seven pairs of jeans in a lifetime. What I do know is that I only have two pairs so there is still plenty of room for more pairs of jeans for my wardrobe.

Now that I know what nudie jeans are, I think that I should get them but according to y friend, I would not be able to buy them locally and would have to buy them online from Tobi.com. I am fine with online shopping so that is not a problem with me.

If you are thinking of adding new stuff to your wardrobe this holiday season, why now check out nudie jeans from Tobi.com? Jeans are evergreen and they never go out of style; at least not in my book!

Gmail’s Old Version, New Version

I tell you, this is driving me crazy!!!! No matter how many times I set my Gmail to show the older version, each time I log into my account, I get the new version again and again. I don’t want the new version, cannot meh??? I prefer the older version and it is not because I cannot accept change, OK?

Change is perfectly fine, only IF it is better than the older version. So no, it’s not anywhere BETTER so I prefer to stick to the old version.

In fact, I am still using the Old Versions of quite a few computer programmes, just because I like to. New ones could be rather buggy and resource hungry so who needs the extra features which are left unused?

I don’t know why Gmail cannot even “remember” my settings and I would have to do the same thing over and over again. It’s like being forced to use something that I don’t want to use! This is getting stale!
