Subscribing To Own Feed

I wonder how many people actually subscribe to their own RSS feeds. Well, I do. A couple of months ago, my friend said that she is going to set up a hundred email accounts and use these email addresses to subscribe to all her feed to boost up her feed subscription count. Oh my god…I think she did not see that through!

Well, the reason that I subscribe to my own feed is because I will read my own blogs from my feed reader and then find all sorts of typos and spelling errors and even grammatical errors.

It is weird that no matter how many times I spell check or check my grammar with MS Word and looking for the wiggly green line, I will miss them all and only discover them when I read my feed. Gah…. that refelcts badly on myself. *sob*

Visit Singapore

Earlier this year, my friend suggested that we visit Singapore. OMG, it’s already mid December and we have not had the chance to go. Singapore is just south of Peninsular Malaysia and I am shame to admit that I have only been there ONCE but it was a memorable experience. That was why my friend suggested a trip to Singapore as he said that I need to get around more. Don’t I know that?

Luckily, Singapore is just a couple of away by plane from Kuala Lumpur or about six hours by bus from Ipoh. This is considered near already! I told my friend to clear his weekend schedule so that we could hop over. Meanwhile, I checked on the internet for places of interest and things to do and see in Singapore. It has been such a long time that the city has changed and developed tremendously.

My friend told me to check the USA Hotel Guide where I would be able to get comprehensive information on the island on one website without going all over the interent for a little information here and there.

I remember staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore when I was there but this time, my friend will be the one arranging our accommodation. With Christmas just round the corner, I am sure that he would not have a pleasant time getting affordable accommodation for us.

Mental Diarrhea

I learnt that a couple of blogger friends are going on a blog marathon this couple of days. Their target is forty to fifty posts PER DAY! Of course, they are not going to flood ONE blog since they run multiple blogs. However, I just think that is extremely crazy of them!!

Luckily I did not join them on this blog marathon. I know my limits and am not ready to test it. God, I have a life to lead and real world work to attend to, like the rest of the world.

These two ladies are homemakers and they sometimes go on a blog marathon like this but I feel that they may have to neglect their children and family for a couple of days. *shiver*

Orlando, Florida, Vacation Rentals

Earlier today, a friend told me that he has plans to visit Florida during the holidays. In fact, I even blogged about it already. However, I forgot to mention that he has found a website where he could rent an Orlando vacation home at a good rate. He said that he is sick and tired of putting up at hotels and all those nosy and noisy tourists. He said that one hotel is like another and he has had enough of that in the course of traveling for work.

For people who would want somewhere special to spend their vacation, vacation rentals are a good alternative. In fact, Vacation Rentals is the premier online listing of vacation rentals in Orlando, Florida and many other cities and popular holiday destinations as well.

My friend says that this is where he is browsing through as well. I hope he gets what he wants at an attractive price that he cannot resist!

Too Dependent On Technology

It is so scary how dependent we are on technology. I friend just called me up to tell me that he can’t load his computer after it was forced shut this morning due to power failure. Well, you see, without the computer to work with, he is going to be wasting the night away. Of course, he has back up in the form of a laptop but then it does not help when all the graphic intensive software is installed on his desktop computer only.

This reminds me of the time my computer also could not load at all after a series of power failure that caused my computer to shut numerous times A DAY. That was before I bought my Universal Power Supply. Well, that episode wasted my one whole day. Of course, it did not take that long to do a clean install but then reinstalling all relevant programmes and configuring my preferences took quite a few hours as well.

I know of people who self impose a “no computer day” one day a week but I cannot do that. To be away from the computer for that long means that I would not be earning. In fact, even if I am not working at the computer, I am either watching movies, playing games, chatting with friends and browsing various websites, blogs and forums. It just shows how dependent I am on the computer and internet!

Las Vegas Photos

A blogger friend who went to those blogging conventions about a month ago sent me a bunch of photos of this trip there. Wow, I was impressed with the activities that were planned for them BUT I was more impressed with the sights and shots of the various Las Vegas Hotels, restaurants, the lights and glitz.

I used to think that it would cost an arm and a leg to visit Vegas but this friend told me that there are many things that could be done for free in Vegas and those who are lucky in gambling might even win enough to supplement their vacation expenses.

This friend told me that he does not have time to blog about his Vegas trip at the moment since he has to prepare for the holidays. I can’t wait to read about his experience in Vegas. Just viewing his photos is not enough!

Santa Claus Offline

I noticed that Santa Claus has gone offline from my Windows Live Messenger for the past two days. What happened to the BOT? I thought that it could be online 24/7? I told my sister that I chatted with Santa Claus on messenger and she asked if I he is not some sleazy old man. Hahaha!

Well, I think that after writing that blog post where I published the transcript of our chat, Santa Claus has blocked me. :( I thought that I would chat with him again last night as I had some time to while away. Oh well.

I do, however, have many other Windows Messenger Live IDs which I could use to add him to my buddy list of my messenger but for what lah…. waste time only! Well, I would like to think that it’s “his” loss for not chatting with me. Haha!
